OMG.. 15 lbs in 2 weeks??? Be careful... keep that up and you'll blow right off of Deck 10 during sailaway!!!

I don't think I'll be blowing away anytime soon! I won't be putting someone's eye out by poppin' the buttons of my pants either though!

Gators in a basement? I walked downstairs in the dark one night into our finished basement and a snake like object caught my eye at the foot of the stairs. I screamed and ran to get Kevin. He flipped on the lights and it was one of those giant centipedes! He laughed at me all night for being scared of an overgrown rolly poly! We did find a 2 ft snakeskin in our garage this year though!

Well it's certainly quiet on the boards tonight! Where is the West Coast contingent?? Probably just finishing up dinner. CC is probably only eating breakfast....

I can't speak for anyone else here, but I was at DL/DCA all day!

I got a little bit sunburnt and I lost my bluetooth head set, but otherwise was an ok day. I was actually surprised at how light the crowds were. I know this was a blackout date for the SoCal passes, but I still expeced more people. Then came home, took a nap, *THEN* dinner. Now, it's catch up time!!!

Hello...

Checking in from Hawaii... we just moved from our hotel to my SILs' place - they're tolerating our prescence for the next week. THe wifi does not reach downstairs where our bedrooms are so I have to sneak upstairs to connect. Generally, this is a pain and I'll be on even less in some ways - and in other ways I might be on more here as we'll be running around a little less on some days.

At any rate - today we went to a locals beach off rabbit island on the windward (south eastern?) side of Ohau. It was relatively secluded and totally 180 from the touristy waikiki environment - as my BIL was describing... not to say I was put off by the touristy side - I was OK with it being a tourist myself - but I could clearly see the merit of this westward side. In fact - it was nice enough for me to whimsicly consider relocating out here and slowing down on this side. No need for the hstle of Honolulu if I don't NEED to go in there.

At any rate - we built a huge sand castle, sand pits for laughs, and otherwise just swam and jumped through the waves. Nothing extraordinary... just low intensity stuff.

SO tomorrow we hope to hike the extreme south western tip of the island where they have a trail and majestic unspoiled views. Then in the afternoon we're hoping to hit the opposite side of the island to hook up with a cousin and her family while we still have a bit of the weekend left. They're all working more or less so we mostly visit them now. The Uncles and Aunties we'll see mid week as many are retired.

OK... I'm off to read backwards in the hope of catching up. I don't even know how many pages I'll have to go to catch up - but here goes...

Speaking of Scoops... I wonder if they've made it self serve on the WONDER yet???? Hey Alex... didn't you just cruise on the Wonder?? Give us an update!! Maybe they'll wait for drydock but I think really all they did was move the machines out to the side.
It would make it a lot easier access to make my screaming monkeys!

Nothing special here, had to do a quick trip to the sporting good store, had packed an item I needed for my trip. Scored a pair of clearance running shoes and the 2nd pair was 1/2 off, so Lynn got a new pair also. All packed and ready to go to Dallas tomorrow. Lynn jelped me pack and at least I can travel with just carry on. Quite the antithesis of a cruise or dive trip.

Ken congrats on your ride. Way to go.

How can you do just carry on anymore with the new regulations? That means no toothpaste, shampoo, Rosa Regale Or do you just mean you are traveling light?

Mike, I love texas roadhouse smothered steak with grilled shrooms and onions. So I had the I80 truckstop recreate it for my dinner tonight. YUMMY! That and a bowl of greenbeans the size of my head and I am stuffed! i'm kickin on this low carb thing and I am happy to report that my black dress fits!!!! I am still trying to lose a little more before the cruise but this is 15lbs gone in 2 weeks! I know I won't stick to it on the cruise but as long as my clothes fit I am good to go!

Good job PIT. I've been doing Weight Watchers for too long and I'm now on an extended platteau. I'd say I'd kick the exercise into high gear, but after yesterday, I'm pretty sore so we'll take it easy today

Oh man... birds freak me out... the first house we bought here in FL ... the family had like 19 birds... when they moved out I had to sandpaper the bird doo off the walls before we moved in!!! Talk about your fixer upper!!!

On second thought, you better not come to visit if birds freak you out! We have a sweet little parakeet named Carson. Doesn't come out of his cage, except by accident
