Hey - it's GIRLS NIGHT! I see Dianna already has the popcorn for us. So let's sit back and have a GIRLS NIGHT OUT!!! After all, Scott, Bob, etc. are always RMing it - it's OUR NIGHT!

I wish I could sew. I'm having my "wench of the week" costume made. I couldn't find anything that covered my body enough to be comfortable off the rack.

I don't sew....I have a very talented Mom that is a superb sewer and she is having fun sewing my costume on MY $1,600 computerized sewing machine that I won at a craft show in April. yup...the non-sewer in the group won the door prize!!!!!!

We have had to totally modify the pattern because the sizing is so wrong.....and then I didn't like the vest that came with the costume pattern so we bought another pattern and made like 5 "test" vests before we got the right fit because we didn't want to waste the "good" fabric.

For once, I'm looking forward to Pirate night....I just have to find my Mickey Pirate ears to "compliment" my outfit!!!!!

Okay, since you're all so quiet now that 8900 has passed - I'll start the first official GIRLS NIGHT (and yes, CaptainCrash, you can join in as our honorary special guest - from the dark side).

So - here goes:

My BABY starts KINDERGARTEN on Monday! I can't believe it! In just three days I will have a child in an ELEMENTARY school. I don't think I'm old enough for this....

Ohhhhhh Kayyyyyy..... you got it. An' wouldn't you know it - I was NOT sitting here waiting in ambush... I was honestly (and innocently, mind you) reading the prior pages postings... when I noticed there was another page ahead of postings that were bringing the count closer to 8900... so I flipped ahead... only to find to MY SURPRISE... there was yet ANOTHER page of postings that ought to put us RIGHT ON TOP of 8900... so I hrridly clicked ahead and saw we were at 8899!!!! Shock!!! I immediately posted and .... SHOOT!!!.... You got it.... fair and square.

That's what I get for working the phones at this hour and wandering over to check the DIS so casually. If I were more intense I would have kept the notebook IN FRONT OF ME while went about my work and packing here.

So.... I'll be here for the BIG 9000 tonight... and goes even if I have to post 50 entries personally! Of course... if I did so ... I imagine there wpuld be half a dozen folks snickering in the shadows to pounce on it in the last few seconds.

OK... I gotta run the kids over to the park again. It's time for our usual sunset outing.

She has a couple of drawings for you - and Dianna too! But that requires me to find an envelope larger that a size 10. Which means they'll probably end up hand delivered on the cruise instead..... Bad Mommy.

OK Sue,

I speak from experience here. The first thing you have to remember is that you are a mother forever. You are old enough, and so is she. Take a BIG picture and have it blown up to at least a 18x24 black and white. Be sure she is looking directly into the camera. Hang it in your room until the day you draw your last breath. I see my 34 yr old baby tomorrow.
