2025 Fall/Winter Holidays thread. It's the middle of August, so of course that could only mean one thing. The holiday planning begins now! Let's talk about how your holiday planning is going so far and has anyone started shopping for Christmas/Hanukkah/Thanksgiving/ Halloween yet?

So I can't do any shopping for vintage Disney ornaments or other Pop culturely significant themes until Goodwill thins down the Halloween racks.. could be early as my Goodwill in the middle of nowhere could very well be sharing in inventory with a new store 20 miles away ..as the store is historically low merch the 8 years I have shopping. I buy the ornaments when loaded into other decor.. which I sell at vendor market

Disney Halloween all ready at Goodwill racks... but there is no market here to resale Halloween so I don't bother.. most of it NBC

Your Goodwill is letting you actually shop the Halloween items? Ours have them up high - we can see them but can't reach them! Easter and Christmas items (mostly last year's leftovers and some weirder items...) are all we have to choose from right now.

Haven't started shopping yet... but I am DEFINITELY ready for the fall and all the cool stuff that goes along with it. I am ready for some pumpkin spice, halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas season! I have not started decorating for fall yet, hard to do when it's 1000 degrees outside.

not with the intent to start christmas shopping but at about the end of June I tripped over some adult size bluey hoodies for 70% off online at walmart so I snagged 3 of them. used one as a birthday gift and the other two will be for Christmas.

The holidays, huh? That is likely where the Disneyland window will get earmarked! 12/29 or 12/31? Which date? Hmmm… Tough decision.

Whew - not yet but getting there. My flowers & hanging baskets on the porch are starting to look bad and it's almost time to toss them. I don't really decorate for Halloween, we're rural and it's never been a big thing for me - but I really enjoy fall decor so I'll probably go thru what I have and possibly put some out over Labor Day weekend.

No idea what our Thanksgiving or Christmas plans are yet. In terms of gifts? We only buy for one niece, and this year we have a new granddaughter - she'll be getting a 529 and our adult kids get a travel - related gift. A gift card or $$$ towards flights or something similar.
The dogs will be getting the majority of the wrapped gifts

Bring on the holidays!

I just love the Fall season. Tons of decorating I do (and have started doing) with Fall leaves, orange lights, candles, smells, baking, love it all! My oldest DD has an awesome pick your own pumpkin patch at her home and my youngest DD lives on an apple orchard so Fall is our season!

Already have begun Christmas shopping. Just for the 6 grandkids though, they are the fun part

Yesterday I had a traffic jam at my house with the mail lady dropping off stuff, FedEx right behind her and UPS showed up about 10 minutes after. Tis the season!
