Tracy, Sounds like a great kayak trip. "great to be you" We have are stored in the garage right now. not going out until after gator season. Come on down and play with the Manatees sometime. they come right up to the kayaks in the winter and roll over for you to rub their bellies :goodvibes

Robb, Noah, & I are actually planning on doing this after marathon weekend. We even extended our stay an extra day to do so... :thumbsup2

We haven't made the official plans yet, so I don't know. I really wanted to go scalloping in that area in July- but Robb didn't. I lost. I've seen a few website and there is even a company who will let you rent their pontoon boat and go yourself and we have all of our own snorkel gear. I can hardly wait!!

Edit: ANY SUGGESTIONS??

Dianna may have some good Manatee areas in mind. There are time I think we are the only people in WY that are Save the Mantee members, I am sure Jeb loves the letters we send. Hey we have property in FL, besides DVC.

WOW! Tracy that sounds exhausting... but exhilarating!! Seems like so much fun! Joe's brother keeps trying to talk us into a little place up there for the summers when we retire... but it's SO far from the mouse!

But you'd be soooo much closer to your "family" :)

Don't worry Scott, I know it has been a while since you have seen me, but, I am the whitest Floridian ever..lol

Have a great day!

Good morning all! I think the reference to watermelon martini's woke me up.

The latest man thing is here. Arrived yesterday. A huge shed. 12x20. Now I know that for you all that live in the country this is mail box size but here in the burbs it is huge. It starts with the remote control. Then a toaster oven. Then a recliner. Now it's this thing in my yard. I just know a boat is next. I just know it. A man has to have his stuff. :confused3 He's already talking about all the new tools he needs. :rotfl2: I bet right now there are three men standing out there just looking at it thinking how to fill it up with tools. Grandad, Lamar, and SIL.

Good luck on the Jazz. It has become one of my favorites. Too bad they don't put it in 24 pack cans. :sad2:

JB DVD. :thumbsup2 For me, it's a keeper. Buffett at Wrigley Field. Great!
Just becareful and cover your keet ears on track 2 on disc 2.

Bob (& Scott).....

I thought why wait 'til Monday to get the JB DVD....I'll look here in our music stores and Wal-Mart. Nobody has it!!!! The girl in the one music store asked me who Jimmy Buffett was and what type of music was it? I'm like....he's a singer....sings caribbeany type music....his fans are called "parrotheads"....she looked at me like I had 2 heads....I thanked her and went on my way.....I know I saw it in Target in the States back at the beginning of the month...I'm just hoping they're not sold out.

Bob...I'll be sure to keep my "keet" ears covered!!!!!!

Elaine, that is amazing, well to me it is.

We have a couple of forest fires going, close but not real close, the air is full of smoke, and you can smell it for sure.

Sorry guys, Cleared "cookies" and had to find my password to log on again.

Manatees are most plentiful in the winter time when the come into the runs to keep warm. Spring water is 72 degrees year round so they like crystal river, Blue Springs etc. We live 10 miles from Blue Springs. The road to Blue Springs State park dead ends into the St John's river and you can put your kayak or canoe in there for free. As you may know you are not allowed to molest the animals in any way. However, at Blue Springs, your kayak or canoe looks just like the Rangers to the Manatees. The Manatees will come to you. You may rub their bellies and such. They are very friendly and docile. Even if the Park is closed, you can stay at the end of the "run" and they will come to you. If the park is closed, Technically, you can go down the run into the park as long as you don't set foot on land. I prefer not to upset the State Rangers myself. Not worth the hassle.

If you choose to enter the State park, you pay the toll. There is camping there. They rent canoes. You can Scuba Dive with Cavern Cert. I have done the dive many, many times. It can be very crowded in the summertime and you will not see any Manatee in the summer. Lots of Garr fish. Very clear water and the "boil" is quite visible.

To see manatee, Blue Springs is alot closer to the mouse house than Crystal river. Crystal river is a very shallow dive spot for scuba. Alot of check out dives are done there. You do need a boat there. :goodvibes

Bob- We are in your neck of the woods. Was that Cracker Barrel you were talking about at exit 104, I-70?

Thanks Dianna, good info, been to Crystal River and Rainbow River, Blue Grotto etc etc , never to Blue Springs, did not know it was so close to the Mouse. KEWL

As much as Vicki charges for those little "secrets", I'm suprised you do not have a police escort :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:
Ain't that the truth! They have this trailer locked up tight! Where is captain crash when you need him to figure out theoretically how many pairs of VS skivvies could be in this trailer considering its 53 feet long and 10 feet high? anyone up for a math alert? :teacher: :teeth:

There is a JB song there , somewhere there for sure.

Afternoon everyone.

Back inside for a while. Putting together a desk now. Almost time. Almost 5 O'clock. :teeth:

Elaine, keep hunting. I bought mine at Wally World. The Target her never got them in until after I bought it. A little cheaper at Target, but I wasn't patient enough.

Hope the day is going well for everyone.

Later.
