Just wondering what time you all are meeting at Grills? I will be driving down about 20 hours with 2 little ones. Depending on how that all goes will depend on what time we actually make it there!?!

About the internet access on board ..... on the disney cruise official site, it states:

$0.75 per minute
$55 for 100 minutes (10-night cruise or longer)
$105 for 300 minutes (10-night cruise or longer)

So .... I'm guessing ..... the unlimited is out but the 300-minute plan is still available?

I consider it to be my sacred duty to chair the "Rest and Relaxation Contest". I mean, like it's so darn complicated but I can handle it. Everyone's entered, and ...well... duh... everyone's gonna win! Whether they like it or not... whether they emerge with that far off glazed look in their eyes as they debark, or a weary "partied out" slump... each and every DIS enthusiast so identified on our roster shall recieve the grand prize of priceless pleasant memories. Plus a few might walk off with a steamer trunk, no 2 steamer trunks full of shopping booty, DIS gifts and awards, and what not! LOL!

And, I am pleased to say - I accept this self appointed and near pointless obligation with appropriate intensity and seriousness... now if you'll excuse me... for something completely different... I have to go chop some onions. LOL!

Soon I'll be crying with heart-felt passion for the trials and triumphs to come in the days ahead as we all jostle towards the mutually gangway to "Wonder". As we embark on this competitive spectical of who can achieve the rare state of being Rested and Relaxed 1st while embarked. Oh - did I mention, in the interests of maintaining privacy for all - we are not installing the "Rest & Relaxation Competition" video monitors in every DIS members' cabin as we did NOT get the ESPN contract. SO our competitive spirit shall not be resold to the teaming masses on ESPN. And tragic as it may seem... the Travel and Lesiure channel also turned down our contract as well. So we are left with just the joys of competing mano-a-mano - tooth and nail against suntan lotion and grass skirt... no one will know but you of the competitive spirt you will unleash in pursuit of ultimate R&R with the Mouse on the Wonder.

And as in AYSO..... Everybody plays and Everyone who plays shall win!

... if THAT is the case, then let me be the FIRST to offer you this symbolic "Disney Magic Award" medal IN ADVANCE - as - so long as you step aboard the gang way for the Wonder, and so long as you go through the motions of persuing some Rest & Relaxation (this can be done while U sleep, while on the potty, or even while watching a show <TV, Movie or live theater>, among a myriad of other valid alternatives)... then you shall indeed have earned and "won" this "priceless symbolic award"... in fact, if you wish ... may I encourage you to print this page and cut out the medal pictured and affix it to your favorite blouse, shirt or tape it to your forehead (LOL!)... and go look in the mirror. Now.... isn't that a fine and magnificent award you've earned!!!

... Now you have indeed "won" something...
....Something that I dare-say is quite priceless in this day and age!​

Oh, yummy! I LOVE gumbo! I have family that lives in Mobile, AL and then some that used to live in Medarie, LA and they sure can cook up some cajun food! My great aunt makes jambalaya so hot it burns your lips! How many hours am I from LA again?

How about calling the front desk and asking who delivers to the hotel? Pizza... Chinese feed or ???? There's gotta be someone who will send a meal to ya!

I called on something else today and they said NO prepared foods...

I have good news everyone....

I called the TSA (Transportation Security Administration) office today to inquire as to whether or not the buttertarts would be permitted to be carried on the plane....after giving my name and telepehone number and answering a few questions I got the green light!!!!!! So I will be bringing the buttertarts....unless they decide to change the rules between now and Wednesday.

I'm at a shipper in the semi truck. I WISH I was in a hotel. No such luck. They are FINALLY getting our trailer loaded after 7 hours.
I have spent my afternoon corresponding with people I went to highschool with. A guy I know, Austin, was diagnosed with testicular cancer on June 28th. It is very aggressive and he is going through the strongest chemo they can give him. He and his wife are expecting their 1st child Sept. 17th (of all days) and that date also happens to be the date of his last chemo treatment for this round. Not to offend anyone, but PLEASE pray for him and his family. And if you are not religious, please ust keep him in your thoughts. He is having a very hard time with the chemo. Thank You! He honestly is the nicect guy ever! Someone e-mailed me the pics of his "Chemo Party" . All of our guy buddies from high school shaved their heads bald along with him before the chemo. That's what friends are for, eh?

Sorry to hear the docs are in the Twilight zone. As U kno... they'll not block your boarding on account of their absence. So - keep your chin up and put on a happy smirk and go get some ice cream! that's what i do sometimes when something is annoying me.

Harry and I are going to do the online check-in thing this weekend. Still wish we had our cruise docs

No ice cream for me, but I'm having a Minute Maid Light Lemonade with a shot of rum....far cheaper than any drink I'll have on the ship, I know. And I hope it has less calories than a bowl of ice cream.

Fish Extender almost done -- hope to finish this weekend. It was quite a traumatic struggle getting parts of it done! All that is behind me now, and only finishing touches remain.

Clothing selected, ironed (if needed), and at the ready.

Have a list a mile long to get done this weekend, then 4 days of work, throw everything in the suitcase and I'm outa here!

I don't think I will even bother taking the laptop. Sure, I could spend $100 and get 5 hours of wireless connectivity, but why? I think I have better things to do on a cruise!

Ok, I lied. This is my last post from home. I couldn't sleep. I was too excited to sleep! Everyone else has to get up in 20 minutes, but I think I hear Bill now.

We're going on a cruise!!! We have a DIS meet planned for 3:00 at the Mickey pool then at Sailaway Deck 10. I will wave to the webcams, but I don't really know where the Two Palms one is so I'll be waving a long time

I can't wait to meet all of you next Saturday or Sunday!! We're going on a cruise!!
