Do I HAVE to swim to scuuba dive?

Need to do 200 yards any style of stroke, or 300 yards with mask fins snorkel (not timed). Then a 10 min tread. It is an eval that I use to see how comfy my students are in the water. Those are PADI standards.

OK... no GS at the drill... and I'll have to remove my LJ prior to my next jump of 10 or more meters! Fascinating!

Learned that little fact while watching a crew safety training session.

Dive Quest will be my first "real" dive since my open water class....do you ascend with a tow line or what?

There is usually an ascent line put out, they also tend to overweight folks.

I will be asking about HDTV, as I would like to get one after we move. I hear there are issues with altitude.

(Now I really better go get on the treadmill) So far, with what little experience I have had- I like to use the ascent line so I can go slowly with my ears. I still am working on that bouyance thing and can go a little too fast when I'm going down- which them makes my ears start screaming at me.


I forgot to tell crash about the swim.....yes you do have to do the 200 yard swim. I think they made us do it with and without gear. I just remember swimming for a long time without gear and then swimming more with my mask, snorkel, & fins. Needless to say, as I finished, it is able to be done without being a great swimmer. I doggie paddled, did the back stroke, and whatever else I had to do to finish...but I got it done.

I know that IMonso/LetsGoSteelers asked if there were any Steelers fans....yup...Leslie (DisneyPinDiva)....and I guess me (although I know nothing about fottball - ask Leslie). She claims that I'm a good luck charm because since January I watched the Steelers games before the superbowl and they won (being the friend that I am...I watched because I was TOLD to)....and then I was made to watch the Superbowl and lo and behold..the Steelers won....for all my troubles...Leslie sent me a Terrible Towel (I think that's what it is called) for me to use this season.... what did I get myself into....

About the name change....don't worry Tracy will have already changed the list and Linda (seaulater) will just put both names on the mini-navigator....you can't get out of this that easy

Just letting ya know they give everybody a lot of extra lead, their weight belts are already set up. It would be a pain to set up 40 belts a day for different people. In the pool I tend to also overweight my students as it helps make them more stable in the water.

Gino's in Canada is differnt that than Gino's east in Chicago, I don't think they are the same as the Canadian Chain. I love Canada but you can't beat Chicago Pizza.

I am just up to the decoding of Tracy's B2SB....on page 494
Here's my guess... and I'm not cheating by looking ahead BOB ...
I thought it was this all along since I first saw it and knew she was going on
BACK TO SORTA BACK cruises.....

Well, six weeks from now it will be us arriving at the terminal. Considering it was almost a year ago that we booked our reservations we have come a long way.

WOW... finally caught up!!
I now know WAY too much about big screen tv's... thanks ... I'll stick with my little 32" jury rigged Sony. To get the picture it has to be run thru the VCR and audio thru the stereo.. but what the heck... you can't buy a REGULAR TV anymore!! I don't want flat screen or projection or plasma or HDTV.. I want a new REGULAR tv and no one has them!!!!! Okay.. sorry about the venting.

I am way behind on my posting after being MIA most of yesterday.

Went cake tasting with Bridezilla and Prince Charming . I am now very full of wonderful cake!! Felt like the dessert buffet on the cruise. I should have had some Rosa Regale with me!!!!!

Thanks Tracy for letting me know! I was going All that anticipation... And, that is simple and true! You do know that I am extremely jealous.

I am already trying to convince my hubby to do the Repositioning cruise next year and then to the first Med. cruise. We are suppose to cruise with BIL and SIL next year. I want DCL to go to Hawaii! Checking on prices and then will see the deals on board in Sept.
