Okay, I'm here. I know everyone else will be signing off now that I have finally gotten caught up on all the posts. That what I get for having a wonderful day with family running around the South Shore area of FL.

Anyone out there ever heard of BJ's - it is like a Costco or Sam's. Anyway, I went to my first one today - they are to open one in Tampa soon.

And, everyone talking about the GPS - Scott H, Kborn, etc. Well, let me tell you - make sure you get your updates, because we were using my BIL's GPS today and it guided us right into a gated community (not where we were suppose to go). I politely pulled up and said "Hi, my GPS (Magellan) says that I need to just go 2 more blocks in there (motioning past the gates) and there will be a big shopping plaza." I was just kidding of course and I thought for sure he would look at me and think I was nuts. But, he just said "Yeah, we have been getting alot of that, the GPS is wrong" I laughed, and then we asked him for the directions - we were about 20 miles out of the way. Typically, it works wonderfully. We love it!

- nope but since my husband also subscribes to the mentality that bigger is ALWAYS better - he never does anything 1/2 .... (hey we need a symbol for a mooning) - well you get the picture - been trying to break him of that habit but unfortunately he's bound and determined to die with the most toys! He built our house to the absolute max the city codes allowed - that was 31 ft and he went 30 plus a few inches - didn't want to cut it too close!

And just to give you an idea of what our remodeling was - our original house footage wsa 1196 - he went just under 4500 sq ft - about 4985 - although out here in CA - the codes don't require you to list the garage and closets as they are 'not' living spaces. Consequently while our house is 'listed' at 3900 sq ft - it is just under 4500 - see what I mean? He has to outdo everyone on the block - anyone want to trade DH's? Sometimes he's a little



I just had a thought - is that what he thinks of me on this board?

CtC - I WANT to hear that one - if you don't get to it here - you MUST tell us on the ship - I find that quite interesting if it wasn't an error - even us -last year when we went on the 7-day Mexico trip last July - DH (AKA Mr. Freeze) turned down the thermostat to 72 and left it there all 7 days - and to an empty house - wasn't too bad tho as my mommy said that week was pretty 'kewl' as opposed to this July!

I can't hear any music...

You have to use your imagination for the music....

but in any event - the story is not so glamorous or exciting after all... I was just puffing it up a bit...

...so it goes that my electric meter broke and stopped running. So for about 2 or 3 months I had a zero electric bill - not that I even noticed until maybe the 2nd month this was so - as sometimes I pay in advance to save postage stamps and check writing time - so a month or so AFTER I did notice the bill was zero a repair guy came by to install a new meter. And ..."lo and behold"... my first bill with the new meter more than made up for the zero bills. I looked at it and surmised that they had read the meter wrong on install... and I had used 12 kilowatt hours - not 99,988 as suggested by the bill. Of course, even this was only a partial month. SO - I called in and they just waived it after a good laugh over the phone with the electric billing rep.

Simple, eh?
