We're gonna MAYbE watching our little 5 year old in her swim meet championship! Or maybe not. As if we can stand-by for an earlier flight into MCO then we'll go that route. Our 5 year old is a great little swimmer - able to go down to the bottom of a 9' pool and recover/hang there... and that was when she was 3.5 years old! HOWEVER... against the 6 year olds who she swims against she is challenged as she is just barely learning the proper strokes for the various events. SO - if we decide to duck out of the champion ship swim meet to catch an early flight (space available?) then - so be it. The coach said it was cool - with slight reservations. Our little girl has about a dozen ribbons from this 1st season - we figure it's enough given the stifling heat we've endured at these things!

SO - on saturday nite - if we get the earlier flight as we're sort of hoping to do - then we'll make the wine n cheese party (is THAT when it is? Shoot, I thought it was ON the ship - not pre-cruise!).... or we'll do the swim championship in the morning then scoot for out late afternoon sceduled flight. Landing late at MCO we'll just check in at MCO for the nite. In the morning we'll head on out to the Wonder for an early (or late)check in. Coming in like everyone else might not work out as we expect CROWDS... so it's gonna be EARLY or LATE.... well... who am I kidding? We're flying out from the west coast - and we sleep and rise late - so it's gonna be LATE as in 2PM or so before we board. That's how it's been on our last 3 Disney sailings. Well... actually... the hurricane Frances embarkation was the exception as we got BUSSED down to Fort Lauderdale for that one. :confused3

Celeste's fav. the overnight !

Will have to make up on the posts on Saturday !! ;)

Goodnight :groom:

ok back from the beach. It was way to hot. I tried to stay in the water as much as possible. It's not tax weekend her in NC so after a shower it's off to do the school shopping. I have a 20% off for the Disney Store and with no tax, that's another 7% and i'm sure they'll have a big sale section.

For the wine tasting on board, Do we bring a bottle of wine?? Never carried wine on a plane before. If so then how difficult is that?? Bill and I love some wine, so we'd love to be involved in that.... There ago again messing up his nap time. Oh well he can nap when we get back..

Did all of you CC members see the list of new items you will receive?

This is a quote from the thread listed on the main cruise board: Now in each room you'll get a new CC totebag, inside it's packed with goodies! Two mesh bags, one red, one blue, also two CC Cups with Straws, Two things of Sunblock, two Jelly Bracelets (one red/one blue with the CC logo on them), a large CC magnent, and a few other gifts! So cool! Also CC members will still get the lanyards/pins at check in.

I understand this is to start with the cruises this weekend.

Carol

Happy Wishes to all that need and deserve them.

I tried to warn America about this group. At the television taping, I snuck in the cruise lanyard through security, the metal detector and the wand. Somehow, I was seated next to the most beautiful couple in the audience. He was movie star handsome and she was model perfect. The camera was inches from them so I nonchalantly placed the lanyard on the armrest between us. :rolleyes1 When I watched on television, the lanyard didn't make it. The back of my head was featured in at least 10 scenes. Next time, I am attaching the lanyard to my hair like a scrunchie. :p

Wow it's been a long time since I have been on the board! There is way too much to read. I am not sure if anyone has done this but... has anyone tried to get the $100 credit for AP holders? We were given a fax number which we sent copies of our passes too. I am wondering if anyone else has done it. Thanks for the help!!! :sunny:

Yes, we have also done this... waiting for the confermation from DCL.

So ScottH... depending on the timing of your gig - and our variable to the last minute schedule we are officially a "MAYBE". We'll have info on your gig printed and handy in case of potential use.

As for Bethe - I'm PM her later and enquire if we're OK with kids and/or a non-alcoholic conrtibution - like a sparkling 750 of peach or apple nectar. It would be suitable for the kids, eh?

Goodnight Peter!

Well...

... just got back from the pool here at the Marriott. THere were a trio of kids who were good fun with my kids - I brought one of those huge pressurized squirt guns and we all sort of had a 1 gun shoot out among other things. We're taking our lunch now and gonna leave in a few minutes at 2PM... the folks were nice enough to give us a very late check out on account of #1) our checking in near 11PM and ... #2 my hinting at the kids needing a little extra time to at least swim a bit during our brief stay , #3) and my sweet begging onver the phone .... :confused3 . SO I need ta go pack up then sit a moment before I venture out to explore a 200 yard radius of this "fair town" in central California.

and....

Cool!

BUt I would not mind if they threw in an unrestricted combinable 25% discount cert for a future DCL sailing too! That way I'd combine it with on board rebooking, the cabin credit and then feel like they really appreciated our loyal patronage! Well... actually - I'm not in a huff over anything.... seriously.... we're totally "aglow" with sailing the Mouse's ship under any circumstamces! :thumbsup2

Tink, I think you mentioned somewhere that Rancho Cucamonga was one of your stops. That happens to be my neck of the woods. let me know when you are in the area, maybe we could meet for lunch or something. i'm assuming by the theater you were referring to Ontario Mills mall??

Take care!
Thanks! That would be great! We have a terminal in Colton. When we are in Ontario/ Rancho area we try to go to the Ont. Mills Mall and the security guards kick us out of the parking lot. We only go in with our tractor but they still have a problem with us parking there even to use the stores/theater/restuarants. They also have those ever so friendly signs up all over that might as well say "WELCOME TO RANCHO CUCAMONGO, WE HATE TRUCKERS". I don't know if we will make it there before the cruise, we were supposed to be there tomorrow but they switched loads on us. But if we are headed that way at a decent hour we will definitely look you up.
The great part of this job is having friends all over the country that we can just swing by and visit when we pass through! :grouphug:

Well... some time back I posed the notion that if we had 10 off-balance sorts who would generate 10 posts a dya then - with 40+ days to go we could have our 4,000 posts needed to get from 6000 to 10,000 postings. Well... it seems things have wfted out of control here - and a mixed laundry bag of off balance sorts have taken the 10 a day thing to heart (myself included). SO - you'll see a few of us signifying solidarity to this bit of insanity with the count up from #1-10 (or more - as I have competitive pressure to outpace some ... so I'm thinking of doubling or tripling my pace - or if nothing less I'm skip a few numbers in MY count to intimidate casual on-lookers ... LOL!).

SO join the club in this lofty and rarified aire of insanity - where the air is crisp - and the mind suffers a pleant bit of oxygen deprivation! Of course - extended time in this environment can lead to brain damage too. SO - you may not want to hang here too much or you'll end up liek the rest of us "damaged DISers"... LOL! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

OK,... that makes 10 for me ... so far... I gotta go check out as I'm past my "courtesy" 2PM late check out. SO - Kborn - here's your chance to run AMOK! GO do your nastiest! Just ya'all remember... as Uncle Arnold sez here in California.... (please exercise an Austrian accent, and don your dark Ray Bans).... "I'll be back" ..... to quintuple my daily count!

Had ta edit it - as the 1st and 2nd ones failed to load...
