September 17, 2006 - 11 Night Southern Caribbean Part 2

The way I look at it is: We really are only gonna be in Florida for 2 days... we are deboarding on Thursday and checking into our hotel... so that day is pretty much over...

We have gotten to the parks by 10:30 at the latest on debarking day. We've even caught a plane later that night, though this time we will be staying two days (Thursday and Friday and flying home Saturday morning). I'm a little ticked. The airline changed our flight time. Moved it up 2 hours (on the return), so instead of leaving at 2:00 p.m., we leave at noon. The bad part about this is they have no other flight that day and we'll now have a 3 hour layover in Milwaukee (which is only 1 1/2 hours from our house). Not thrilled with that. It's not so bad at the beginning of a vacation but at the end, I just want to get home not sit in an airport.

another perhaps dumb question... is there NOT a shuttle from the Orlando airport to the Radison? or to any other hotel close to the port?

No shuttle. However you can rent a car and return in at the Port. I hear Budget is the best. That is what we are planning on doing.

Okay everyone! I am booked in the Radisson now too. Of course I have my favorite 10:30am shuttle. Although I'm sad to not be with the SS #1 and Sandy. But I get to sleep in another 30 minutes.

PRE-RADISSON MEET (EDITED):
Let's meet poolside by the Tiki Bar at the Radisson. Stop by anytime after 2:30. Look for the crazy blonde in the walker (DD5 Christina). Or look for the crowd of wild people! We'll migrate over to Grills around 4 to watch the Magic sailaway. A rare site for those of us usually on the Magic! See you there!

We will also be at the port early, leaving from OKW and dropping off rental car. It will be one of those "I'm too excited to sleep" nights.

I found a shuttle service for $100 to the Radisson... things are shaping up... now if I could just get a cheap flight....

OK OK OK Were in on the Fish extender decoration, forgot about colored duct tape, beer cans, and old wine bottles, could there be a Wyoming Division, might have a chance at placing.

Glad you have decided to join in the fun. We have been thinking about a "RED NECK" division and it sounds like you would do well there. Just PM the DW so she can put you on the list.

I can't remember the names of the people who made these, but I think their too cute. Where can I get them made into a shirt? Will every place pitch a fit about the shape of the Mickey Ears? (copyrights and all) The bottom one if my fav.

I too would like that additional 30 minutes, especially since we will be on California time. However, I think we will probably not sleep much that night anyway. But on the other hand, we did reserve the room with the sleep number bed, so slumbering should not be a problem.

You beat me to the punch with suggesting a Radisson meet. Since I have never been there before, I am open. I have heard that "Grills" is outstanding.
I am open for anything. Let's get the party started!!!

Love them both. The top one would make an awsome magnet and T shirt. I do love the Mickey ears. I think if you did the Mickey Ears yourself it would not be a huge challenge. However, if you tried to have it commercialy done...hmm - might be a problem. JMHO

Speaking of magnets....gotta get my creative juices flowing. I made one for almost every day of the PC Repo.
