Sorry to be so long in posting - just got back from our 10 day Disney fix to DL & DCA & visiting friends........... was wonderful!!!!!!! We will now have to wait until this cruise to get our big dose of Disney again - I don't know if I can wait until next Sept, but I suppose we all must.
We have been pretty consumed with having our home for sale - practically a full time job. Our house is in a great neighborhood, fantastic condition, with lots of extras we have added, so I hope someone can truly appreciate it all. It is a difficult market right now though. Please wish us luck!

Welcome back! Ten days in California is always fun...especially with friends AND Mickey. I get a long weekend there in September (driving through the desert....what fun) and that will have to hold me for a year.

.....Again, thanks to everyone for all the prayers, thoughts, and good wishes. I am sure I might have some down times over the next months where I may need support, and I know I can count on you all. BUT, I am going to concentrate on getting to know you guys, and plan our trip!!!!!!!!!!!! I love the planning part. If anyone has been to Tortola, please share your experiences, and thoughts---same with St. John/Thomas. I haven't been to any of these places. The pictures Jackie had of Tortula were BEAUTIFUL!! On the next cruise, I have been to Cozumel, and the Grand Caymans, but never to Key West. I wish we were going in a few months.
This will be just my DH and I--we don't have kids, just 2 dogs who are our babies. We will be 6:00 seating, and will be in 7044. This will be our 3rd and 4th cruises with Disney--the first was a 4 night this past Dec, and then the 15 night Panama. Really looking forward to the cruises......Vicki

So glad to hear you are doing better. Remember the DIS thread is a great place to unload or to get a boost. People here have had similar experiences, know someone who has or have professional training all of which we can use to help boost each other. Don't think you have to be tough. Let us know how you are honestly doing and get some virtual hugs.

Are you moving far away? (I assume you are now in St. Louis.)

We are Cardinals fans and will be in St. Louis for our Anniversary weekend--Aug 3 game against the Phillies.

Just like us Vicki. I booked the Panama Canal cruise first and then decided it would be nice to have a taster so booked a 4 nighter for last December!!!!

We would never leave our beloved Cardinals. We are just moving because we (I) need a ranch, and we have a two story now. Even though we aren't elderly I just played too much softball and field hockey growing up and it has caught up with my knees. I have done a lot of rehab to avoid surgery, so I don't want to play with fire any more. Since we have a 5 yr old, I am up and down the stairs alot. We are also big Rams fans, so we don't want to go too far from where we are at now to get downtown to the games.
How wonderful you can come in for a Cards game on your anniversary! If I can do anything to help make your trip special please let me know.

In 15 days I bet we passed each other several times. We did not get the green SHIP OF THIEVES lanyards but did have the tags Kelly made on our Castaway Club lanyards and had them facing out all the time for ID. I think I asked you how your arm was doing at least once.

I was asked to post a photo on that thread so I guess I will post it here too.

We were in the DIS group photo and the DIS Pirate photo, I did not go to Champagne Girls or stay at Scrapbooking any longer than to drop off some embellishments that I thought others could use.

We snorkeled at C.C., Aruba, Acapulco and Puerta Vallarta. We went through the Canal on Deck 4 Starboard (still trying to remember what lifeboat we were under--the one farthest to the front--is it number 1?)

We had late dinner seating on the PLA rotation and sat near the back on the right side of middle in each restaurant.

Any help? Did you post a photo on PJ's blog site before the cruise?

I was laid up with a knee injury--soft tissue only, not the joint--in 2004 and while the skin graft was new I was not allowed to go up or down stairs. So DH said whenever we move the next time, no stairs. When we moved to Indianapolis in 2005 we got a third floor condo with an elevator. There are stairs and in case of emergency I would have to use them, and these days I do use them because the knee works fine (has a humdinger of a scar, but works fine!) but if I had an injury I could use the elevator.

All that to say, I GET IT about wanting a ranch. Best wishes on finding what you want.

Our plans are to come to St. L on Saturday, go to the Muni, stay overnight and take in the game on Sunday before driving home. We are considering attending church where a former pastor now preaches: First Evangelical Free Church of St. Louis County. Not sure how far that is from our hotel as DH has made all the reservations.

Thanks for the offer of help though. We are low key people and do not enjoy being surprised so we make our plans together and look forward to the events and reminisce and it's all good. If you were going to the game it would be fun to meet there however even if we were not sitting together.

I can believe it actually. Not everyone likes space/futuristic shows.

I love Dr. Who the best though, and our present Dr. the very very best. Rumour has it he is leaving next year though.
