Hola Stacy.......I just made reservations in Long Beach Island for three nights on the weekend of July 18th. DH says he knows some DISdads that are in the Philli area and they would love to do a DIS meet closeby too. So what do you say, are you available to meet with some disers in your neighborhood the weekend of July 18th? We'll bring some chocolate covered strawberries for the champagne! We could have a lot of fun!

Hi Vicki, sorry to hear that you needed the surgery. I'll be right there with you on Thurs. thinking about you and sending pixie dust for bravery. Hope you can feel the magic of the dust and the positive thoughts!

How did the surgery go? How are you feeling?

Jan :earsgirl:

Hi everyone,
Well, surgery is over, and the actual surgery went ok. The anesthesia part was a nightmare, they almost admitted me to the hospital because my oxygen levels were low. LONG story!!! After approx. 8 hrs, they sent me home on oxygen and we had to get a pulse oximeter to check my levels. My husband had to wake me up every 2 hours to make sure I was getting enough oxygen. More to it, but that's enough for here. I went out today for dinner, so hopefully things are going the right way now and that's what I am going to concentrate on now.!!!!! I have a plate in my arm that goes from my wrist approx. 6 inches down my arm. Recovery and therapy will take a long time. I really appreciate so very, very much all the support from all my Panama cruisers who are some of the nicest people I have ever met!!!!! And I also cannot thank enough my new friends from this cruise who have been so nice and supportive to someone you haven'y even met. I have no doubt that this cruise will be very, very special, and more enjoyable than the Panama cruise for me and my husband.
Debbie, you were talking about chocolate covered strawberries for the champagne girls--which I want to do this time, so please count me in--when I hurt my arm, the one thing I wanted most was chocolate covered strawberries. Greg went all over the place trying to find them for me. He finally talked to someone from the chef staff, and they arranged some of them to be delivered to us at dinner the next night. So, maybe we could put in a special request???
Again, many thanks to everyone for all the thoughts. I am going to concentrate on therapy, so that we can enjoy this cruise!!!!!!!!! Vicki

Chocolate strawberries - mmmmmmmmmm!!!!

Vicki, I'm glad your surgery went okay. My friend just had the same type of thing and has a plate in his arm too. Hopefully you'll have a smooth recovery.

Vicki, I'm so glad you survived the horrible ordeal.....what a nightmare for you, but now it's done and better days are ahead for you and I can help with making that so......we will definitely have chocolate covered strawberries in your honor at our next Champagne Girls Tasting. You will be first on the new list! We'll definitely have a blast and this time we know to drink first then talk.....and no audio equipment to set up. We will have worked out the bugs and it'll be even better!

Just to say we now actually booked on this and the following Western - doing B2B!!!

Looking forward to meeting you all over the months.

It would be lovely if we could have a roll call on Page 1 if possible. Great to see who is actually on the cruise.

Hi Vicki, I'm glad your surgery is over and now you can concentrate on healing! My mom had a reaction to anesthesia once, after a fairly simple procedure--it was scary! When you're toiling away in rehab, just think of the fun we'll be having, the champagne we'll be drinking, and the chocolate covered strawberries we'll be eating on the Magic!!:cool1:

Just found out we are in 6630. I have just read through this thread and we are next to someone on here, but there is no way I can remember who.

If you read this, we are quiet, have no children with us and don't smoke.:)

Hi neighbor. :wave2:

We're in 6628

Hi Kevin. This cabin we got today was the last non connecting Cat 6 available for the 2 weeks. We have had bad experiences with connecting rooms!!!:scared1:

Glad we have Dis neighbours. Look forward to meeting you, your wife and son. I'm Marilyn and my husband is John.

How did the surgery go? How are you feeling?

Jan :earsgirl:

Much better than the first 3 days

Vicki, I'm glad your surgery went okay. My friend just had the same type of thing and has a plate in his arm too. Hopefully you'll have a smooth recovery.

Thanks, if your friend ever needs someone to talk to, feel free to give him my name:goodvibes

Wishing you a smooth and speedy recovery.

Woody

Thanks Woody-hope to be able to get to know you all this time

That sounds like a great plan, Deb. I don't know if you remember, but Greg and I came in towards the end of the party and took pictures. It looked like you all had so much fun. If anyone wants to see them, let me know.

Thanks Cheri,
It was kinda scary-my first experience with general anesthesia. My anesthiologist told me never to have surgery in an outpatient setting again-always in a hospital----maybe best for your mom also.

Thanks Emily. Now I can really get excited and PLAN!!!!

Yeah Marilyn!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Again, thanks to everyone for all the prayers, thoughts, and good wishes. I am sure I might have some down times over the next months where I may need support, and I know I can count on you all. BUT, I am going to concentrate on getting to know you guys, and plan our trip!!!!!!!!!!!! I love the planning part. If anyone has been to Tortola, please share your experiences, and thoughts---same with St. John/Thomas. I haven't been to any of these places. The pictures Jackie had of Tortula were BEAUTIFUL!! On the next cruise, I have been to Cozumel, and the Grand Caymans, but never to Key West. I wish we were going in a few months.
This will be just my DH and I--we don't have kids, just 2 dogs who are our babies. We will be 6:00 seating, and will be in 7044. This will be our 3rd and 4th cruises with Disney--the first was a 4 night this past Dec, and then the 15 night Panama. Really looking forward to the cruises......Vicki
