YEAH, hopefully we'll see you at Fishlips then for dinner.

Hi friends!
Sorry haven't been on here much, have some bad news though (for us anyway) as we've had to cancel the cruise this year.:( :( :(

so it looks like we won't be meeting up with all you lovely people after all. We wish you all happy cruising anyway and hope the champagne girls (yet again) have fun without me :(

Maz, Karen, Deb, Jackie & Peg etc look forward to still chatting on Fb :grouphug:

I'm so sad.....:(:grouphug:

I'm so sad too Angel. I'm sure this economy is not helping. You will certainly be very missed. We will definitely take lots of pictures and share them with you. I will see you on FB my dear friend.

Hi guys. I'm not one to post these kinds of things here on the boards but I felt that this one needed some special attention.

I'm sure you've all heard about the commuter jet that went down here last week killing all aboard and one on the ground in Clarence, NY. This petition is for ABC's Extreme Makeover to come and re-build the Wielinski home that was destroyed when Flight 3407 crashed into it last Thursday night. We're asking that you sign the petition and forward the link to as many people as possible. Hopefully, ABC will here our prayers. Thank you.

I just signed.....wow you have almost 28,000 signatures already. That's wonderful. Keep up the good work.

WOW is right. I just looked again and there are now over 44400 signatures. Amazing in such a short amount of time.

I read the post on fish extenders, but am really not sure what you do with them. I know you hang them outside of your room.....but could someone please explain what we need to do if we are going to participate in it? Thanks so much!! Ali

Obviously you need to buy/beg/borrow and hopefully not steal a Fish Extender.

The other thing is that you buy / make a small gift for the other families on the cruise who are participating. It can be one per family or one per person. From what I understand, it doesn't matter. Then sometime during the cruise you deliver the gifts (like a secret santa almost)

From what I have seen the 'protocol' (for want of a better word) in FE giving varies from cruise to cruise. On our last cruise we just delievered the gifts when we wanted to. Some cruises you sign up to deliver on a certain day. Depends how everyone wants to organize it.

Gifts can be whatever - there is a thread somewhere with lots of suggestions. We did pirate themed ducks and tattoos and some candy on our cruise. We received candy, pencils, stickers, notebooks etc. I have heard of people making gifts (some wonderfully talented people out there). There is no hard and fast rule on what you give.

We enjoyed the opportunity to walk around the ship and explore all the decks. It was also a good walking work out. I also liked the fact that we could choose when we delivered the goodies - so we could fit it into our schedule. The kids also loved coming back to find what was left in the FE.

Not sure what we will do this time. Still got a few months to work on that :-)

I can't believe the original FE thread has grown to over 600 pages!
Getting the things together for the FE's for our last cruise was so much fun. Once we knew the cabin #'s and genders/ages of the little ones (or those without little ones! :goodvibes ) it made it a lot easier to have something fun and special. dd just loved going to secretly deliver the goodies, and it really was worth the effort. Just something friendly. I am not all that creative, but it wasn't difficult, and was fun.

Hi everyone!

I was 30, yes 30 pages behind. This whole planning a wedding thing really takes up a lot of time! :faint:

So I'm all caught up finally. Thanks Jan for explaining all those inside jokes you all are chatting about. I felt left out not being on the PC with you all! :sad1:

As for the meets, I don't fit the OG, GIT, all that jazz. Can I come along too?! I promise to behave. Thats if DF and I leave our room. It is our honeymoon after all ;) :rotfl2: :lovestruc

Jan - I forgot to say that I'm up for all the initials except for the B2B :lmao: (it does say Geezers of ALL AGES) :thumbsup2

You can hang ANYTHING for your fish extender... I use a lime green (those are the Dis colors) Xmas type stocking... some have made real official fish extenders, some have bought them on ebay, some have just hung a small/medium size (the space is only about 9-10 inches wide) tote bag that they have decorated...

As for the gifts... it can be anything of course but nothing expensive... usually just fun stuff like glow sticks, stickers, and stuff like that. Some on our PC cruise made CD's of pictures and songs with a theme for our cruise... others have been known to drop off booze... :rolleyes1 (I've heard that someone from TN brought Jack Daniels (little bottles) for their friends...

It's just fun stuff...

As has already been said--it is GEEZERS OF ALL AGES--so sure--whatever makes you happy. It is your vacation -- oopse--honeymoon-- so you decide what to do and what to skip. :lovestruc  .

Thanks for checking in! When I was a little girl I wanted to live in Argentina....just because I liked the SOUND of it....and they had cowboys there too!

WOODY!!!!! Come back!!! We miss you!!! & Mom wants to see pictures!!!

Hey Woody :wave2: I was missing you so I signed up and joined Monica as her roomie on this cruise...can't wait to see ya.

Hello all,

This morning, after 46 nights, we arrived at the Port of Los Angeles. It was an incredible trip, with many diverse ports and excursions.

We docked overnight in Buenos Aires, Argentina. On the second day, we went horseback riding with gauchos at El Ombu de Areco.

In Ushuaia (the southernmost city in South America), Mrs. Woody walked among penguins.

It was fab.

Woody

Woody, HI!!!:yay: Welcome back, we have missed you.

Was this your favourite cruise? We would love to do something different.

Welcome home, Mr & Mrs Woody! The trip sounds FABULOUS! Can't wait to hear some stories. :thumbsup2
