Happy Early Birthday!!! :cake:
Thank you, Stacy... :goodvibes  :)

...Today is my husband's birthday also. We aren't particularly celebrating as we had the vacation, and as you get older birthdays somehow seem less important, but we have had a coffee out.
OMG!!! :faint: I hope not!!! I love my birthday - any excuse to celebrate... ;)

Happy Birthday wishes to John... :goodvibes

:lmao::lmao:You keep celebrating!!! We've never really been into big parties etc, just a nice quiet meal.

I'm just getting old and don't really want to!!!:rotfl2:

He says it isn't that he doesn't like it, more that he likes to travel other ways, fly to a spot and investigate a city for more than one day

I can understand that.

Yes, I can understand that too, but...cruising is a great way to see a little bit of new places so you know where you want to go back to explore for a longer visit. For me, from the WBPC that would be Cabo :thumbsup2

Thank You
Some days are easier then others for sure. Today my mom came over, and cried, just knowing he wasn't in his room. She hasn't been here since it happened..
We did have a nice breakfast though. Today is my Dad's birthday

Stacy, I'm so very sorry for your loss. I can't begin to imagine how hard this must be for you and your family. Sending hugs and prayers :grouphug:

HEY KIDS....don't foget you can go on line now and fill out all your forms! That is all you folks who are paid up....keep forgetting the newbies still have a week to go yet.

I'm having a problem determining who my emergency contact should be. :confused3 All my peeps are with me on the trip. Guess I'll put in my boss or team-mate, because if anything should happen to delay my return they should be the first to know. Ah! I should use Peg's house sitter...since I would be taking over for her when I return.....that's way more important than work!:rotfl2:

.

I did all that today.

I also shuffled my/our Castaway Cay activities a bit, an earlier parasailing and an earlier Stingray encounter.

I'm not sure I fully understand the Stingray encounter.

I'm with you. I'm BIG on birthdays, especially my own.

Happy Birthday John, you old git! I mean, old geezer.

I'm using all of my energy tonight to try to stay awake until midnight again so I can book excursions for the second part of my B2B tonight! I'll wait another week so I can go and fill out forms for both cruises at the same time :thumbsup2

Kathe,

Good luck tonight with part 2 of your back to back!

I've been meaning to ask, who is combining this cruise with a stay at WDW, and if so, are you doing it before or after the cruise?

We, for the first time, will be doing WDW before the cruise rather than after.

OK I confess I'm being very cheeky and doing BOTH!!! :goodvibes 3 nights before at BLT with my handsome husband and 7 nights after at VWL with my darling daughter... This will be my longest WDW/DCL stay - I like setting new records... :thumbsup2

Ian,

We typically visit WDW before a Disney cruise, and will do so in September.

Before the WBPC, I put together a mini-meet for lunch at Epcot. We had around a dozen people (including Kathe -- HI!), and it was a nice opportunity to meet some people from the boards before sailing.

Hi Woody! Yes, the mini-meet was a great idea :goodvibes

We'll be at VWL 3 nights before the cruise. We're not doing the parks though...long story, short...we have 3 park trips planned within 1year after this trip and will get AP's then. So we'll do non-park things and explore the resorts. Something we've always wanted to do.

We will be in Kissimmee before the cruise, but are not planning on going to the parks :scared1: . I wanted to explore other areas of Disney and the Kissimmee / Orlando area. There are so many neat things out there that the majority of visitors don't find.

Our kids still don't know we are cruising - they just think we are going to Kissimmee :rolleyes1, though its getting harder to hide with all the prep that I need to do.

I was contemplating MNSSHP, but that will make it a late night - what with having to get up very early for that "day at the beach" on 9/12 :lmao::lmao::lmao:

I looked at Mickey's Backyard BBQ the other day. The prices were high :eek: ($60 for an adult, $30 for a child for level 1 seating) - is it worth that much???? That would be $200 (I would probably rather get a quick dinner somewhere cheap and go see La Nouba!)

Oh well, back on with the financial stuff  :surfweb:

I'd be glad to join you at Cabo and any time! ::yes::

Oh I SO RECOMMEND LaNouba! If you've never seen a Cirque show, you really should do this. It's worth every penny. Grab dinner at Earl of Sandwich or Wolfgang Puck Express before hand...:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Kay...sending you a PM with more stuff (did you get the e-mail also?)

Just did my "Dining Presentation" with my brother in law and got his picks for post cruise WDW. He did GOOD! ::yes::

Arrival night: Cape May-Beach Club (convenient to BWV...and they'll be plenty tuckered out that night). I did mention saving dessert for Beaches N Cream, as ice cream is it's own food group in Jose's opinion.

High-end dinner choice: Kimono's at the Swan (the call of sushi)

Dinner choice: Boma - AKL

Breakfast: Kona Cafe (ahhhhh, the call of Tonga Toast!!! That boy will eat ANYTHING if it involves bananas!) :lmao:A good choice for a MK day.

Lunch choice: Yak & Yeti (perfect for a AK park visit)

Lunch choice: Tangerine Cafe - Epcot (I know they'll probably have several visits there)

"Out of the box" lunch choice: Raglan Road - DTD I bet this pick surprises Peggy.

When he was looking at one of the maps, SiFi Drive in caught his eye and I told him only for a burger and a shake, but a very cute theme.

So tomorrow I'll get to play with the new on-line system and book their first night (using Peg's sign in, so she can go in later and add/edit stuff). Don't think I'll need a 3-4AM wake up to book Cape May, thank goodness.

Ian I BOUGHT ALL THREE BOOKS....had $16 gift card in my purse, so only spent $12 of my own money....less than two movies out. When I walked back in Walden Books the clerk who had tried to help me earlier, looked at me, I said "Stroud", and he smacked his forehead :headache: and went right back to the books. They had a special display in the back for kids summer reading, that's why they weren't on the shelf in the SiFi/Fantasy or Young Adult section. :sad2: Thanks for your help.

Jackie, be careful what you wish for...I just might want to meet up with you in Cabo some day, but it will have to be after 2010 as my vacations are all planned until then :upsidedow

Kay, I second Jackie's LaNouba recommendation:thumbsup2 I've seen it twice and thoroughly enjoyed both experiences!

Jackie, your BIL is lucky to have the best planner around! You did good for him :thumbsup2
