September 10, 2005 - Western Cruise!

I am traveling with my DH, our DS5 and DS3. We are so excited!! We watched the DVD and the boys look over the brochure constantly!. It looks as though there are a lot of experienced DCL cruisers coming back for more...any tips would be greatly appreciated.:Pinkbounc (this is what I look like everyday waiting for our cruise to come)

WELCOME!

and I just love the name Brady! Of course I've watched Days of our Lives practically all the days of my life so that's probably why!

Welcome Aboard!! Wow we already have quite a few dis people going not to mention all of us who are going for our first time. THis is going to be so much fun. We have to plan a dis meet for everyone to meet each other onboard.

Count us in my deposit has been placed. Traveling with us will be
myself Kristi, my husband Sean, my daughter Justice 11, and my son Jordan 8.
I cant wait!!!

We should keep posting so that others can find the thread. I've met a few people already who don't know about this post. Is there a meet planned? I know it's early but I am just SO EXCITED:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

It's our first DCL cruise and I am counting the minutes....

I am going with my in-laws. It's going to be an Anniversary celebration cruise for the entire family. MIL and FIL will be celebrating their 40th anniversary. My hubby and I will be celebrating our 11th anniversary and SIL and BIL will be celebrating their 12th anniversary.

It will be the first Disney cruise for all of us. Can't wait to go!

well, if I forget to tell you later - Happy Anniversary to you all!

I'm ready to go NOW! Less than 5 months! :hourglass We booked our rooms for the Radisson last week. That made me that much more excited.

Just got a package from THE DIS today!!! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

Got a couple DIS buttons so you'll know who we are on board, and DIS luggage tags! Can't wait to meet all of you!

Also, it'll be our 12th anniversary in September! Our honeymoon was at Disney World long ago and we're addicted! :cloud9:

We were all the way back on page 5. I thought it might be better to move this thread back to the top. It looks like the group is growing pretty good. September will be here before we know.

Thanks bobbybear!! We don't want to get lost.

Does anyone know the date that we can start to reserve excursions? Also does anyone have any recommendations for excursions?

thanks
wendy

For your reading pleasure....

This is a Western trip report that I have had in my favorites for a long time. Not only is this guy very funny, he has excellent pictures and went on excursions everyday and tells you about them in detail. Oh yeah, he's also a DISer. :cool1:

We should all pick a time and deck to meet while on board. Make it a DIS party!

5 Months! Seems like forever! :earseek:

BiggFam8,

That sounds like a great idea. Now for a place...

- The aromatherapy spa room in the Rainforest...holds maybe 3 so that might be a bit chummy
- Sneak out on the Deck 7 secret deck area at the stern about midnight. Might cause a stir among the neighbors though.
- Invade The Stack and run all the kids out...could be fun
- Steal all the lounge chairs from Deck 4 and push them together...the joggers would get angry

Oh well...I am not good at making hard decisions during a vacation so if somebody wants to be energetic pick a spot and I will have my official "Sven, The Tour Guide" flag that my wife says I carry to round up all the clan while at the mouse house and will signal away!

I have been absolutely swamped at work and with scouts so I apologize for being absent from the thread. My poor wife needs a break so bad from her job that we sat down the other night and just talked about the cruise and how much fun it is going to be and that whenever the stress level is up we look at the counters on our laptop screens and see that we are now at 135 days and counting down.

If anyone comes across a comatose (and probably snoring) guy in a lounger on deck 4 with a Wake Forest hat on and an iPod on his lap that will be me. Just take the beer out of my hand and set it on the floor and I will be a happy camper!

See y'all soon!

The meet on the June 19th Western was on sail-away Saturday night after the late seating a the Promanade Bar on Deck 3. Relaxed time with no dinner or event pressures......and we could drink! :drinking:

I have been playing around on the DCL website, looks like there are alot of people going on this cruise
nothing was available on deck 1 or 2, I know some may come open when payment becomes due.
My girls and I are so excited about this cruise. I can't beleive it is just a little over 4 months til we sail. :cool1:

I'm so excited about the new dcl website and booking palo and spa early. Now if we can just decide if we should cancel our REAS package. We are going back and forth about it.

I got on DU to get my confirmation number and realized we only have 127 MORE DAYS!!!!!!!! I can't believe it. Saying 4 months is one thing but breaking it down into days is exciting. We're almost into double digits.

I love the new website! I half looked at it yesterday but didn't realize we could book spa, palo, etc. so soon on it! That means in 36 days we can book stuff. So, that's what, June 11th?

I have down that for Cat 1-3 rooms and people with REAS can book on May 29th (105 days out), Castaway Cay members can book on June 13th and then first time cruisers can book on June 28th. Is this right? I counted back from the day our cruise starts on Sept 10th. Someone check me on those dates. I'm also excited about being able to see my ressie even though I booked with a TA.
