I told the CM that I wanted to add the room discount to my existing reservation and still had to pay the increases.

That sucks. I guess that would include the dining plan increase as well. Both increases could easily negate the savings.

Just heard back from my TA. She said that to apply the RO discount, you HAVE to pay the increased ticket prices. So sad

Waiting on confirmation that my reservation has been modified, but it should save $30. Guess that's good for a counter service meal in the park?

No, it would be close to $6000, well maybe $5000. I'm paying essentially $1000 a night for the BLT 2 bed for 9 nights, the discounted OKW villa is closer to $400 a night.

Still on hold....1 hour....If I'm figuring all this out right, it would save me almost $800 to switch from BC to BWI. I've been pumping everyone up for BC for a year now! Is it worth the switch? Is BWI o.k.? We've never stayed there.

We love BWI Just switched From Poly to BWI it will be our 3rd Time staying at BWI

I held for a little less than an hour. Ended up saving $1004.44 on our WL CL room. The CM did mention they had over 600 calls in que.

Finally hung up on house phone after holding for 53 minutes. Got through on cell in about 3 minutes. Ended up doing a split stay at the Poly - first part with a Theme Park view, second part in a Standard view. Didn't save much, but was essentially able to add a night for free and ended up with a fun view!

Thanks everyone for all the information- had I not known everything I learned on here the last few weeks, this would not have happened! My CM's first answer was "sorry, no availability for your dates" but I asked her to try some creative things and we ended up with something good.

Yes, you might need to get creative. We were able to get the first 6 nights at the discounted rate and will keep AAA for the last three nights. It's not as good as I had hoped, but I'll take $670!

Yeah, bummer. But we were planning on going discount or not, just lame to only save $20. But it's still a savings...

Wowzers! Our entire stay at POP with tickets is only $2300.

Okay everyone! Got through after 41 minutes on hold. POR only had a 5% discount which CM said I could apply to my existing standard room, a king room or garden view. I picked garden view for a whopping 1.83 in savings! Lol! So, at least now I have a better view than the standard for a little less money. Whew! Am I glad this is over!

That's not necessarily true. I just added a day, and also dropped two days from my reservation (split them into a room-only reservation at the end of our stay) but kept the same reservation number and did not increase ticket prices.

what number did you use?

407-939-5277 both times. On the second call, I got busy and "tech difficulties" twice, but got through to hold the third try. Although the second time I said "new reservation" and didn't give the same info, so the computer wouldn't find my existing reservation. Not sure if that made a difference or not, but it's worth a try!

I got through once but had to hang up..didn't realize it was going to be so hard to get back through I'm trying 5 different numbers and either get busy signals or all circuits busy message..so frustrating!

reached cm after 58 minutes. Had 2 rooms reserved at the POP. Ended up with no discount on one and an $80 discount on the other. Better than nothing. No complaints.

I've been on hold since 4:00 and now it's 5:28. I was able to get new reservations online and saved quite a bit! I did have to move from BC to YC, but we can live with that. However, I feel like a schmuck with two reservations at two resorts so will wait on hold to try to cancel the old one.

Now just waiting for the AP discount to come out so I can do it all again...

Still holding at 1 hr 15 mins plus. Don't understand how people calling back later are getting through so much faster. I even had two phones on hold (different Disney numbers), but hung up cell to try again after seeing so many people get through so much faster. Now I can't get through at all on the cell.
