I have now spoken to 3 CMs at Disney Dining that say that these two restaurants are not accepting reservations in September! Not that they are booked, but that they are unable to make reservations... Two of the CMs say that they do not think that the Teppan Edo will reopen until late October (the earliest days they could find allowing reservations..) and that the Italian restaurant is not accepting reservations YET.

Huuummm....

If anyone gets/has a reservation in September at either of these two restaurants, can you let us know? Also, once the Italian place changes hands, if anyone actually eats there, can you let us know... Ditto if someone actually eats at the Teppan Edo!

I would still rather do either of these two than the reservation that I have at the Nine Dragons!

Thanks!

LOL - I have ADR's at Teppan Edo for 8/22 - two days after opening. Made them weeks ago. Just called Dining on another matter a couple of hours ago and she checked to see if there was an opening menu posted for me for Teppan Edo.

We need to get one of us another CM to talk to!!!

Let me know how you do...

I had tried to make ADR's for Tutto Italia in December and was told it was only going to be open for CP packages.

I called 2x for Teppan Edo for Sept. Once they told me they were booked for that day & the next time they told me they werent taking ADRs for it yet :confused3

i have an ADR for Teppan Edo on August 22nd as well! I called the other day to confirm everything and asked about the opening day and the CM I spoke with said it would reopen on 8/20!

HTH!

I have one for teppan on sept 29th. I originally had it for teppanaki, but i called and the cm said it was good for teppan.

We have reservations for Teppan Whatever ;) near the end of September - but when I asked yesterday about making a change (from party of six plus party of one, to party of seven), the CM said there's nothing available. I didn't think to inquire further.

Fascinating! Maybe I should keep trying to call to see if they resume taking reservations? Be sure to let me know if you can really dine there when they say it is scheduled to open.... I did see a post somewhere that someone had poked their head into Teppan Edo (a few days ago while they were at Epcot) and they said that there was a lot of construction, hopefully they will stay on schedule!

I also have Teppan Edo booked for easrly sept, so the person you are speaking with on the phone is incorrect

We have an ADR at Teppanyaki for 9/17. I understand that Teppanyaki is now Teppan Edo?

Hmm. Should I be panicking?

I just checked my reservation for dinner at teppanyaki for August and was told that the renovations were extended to 9/15 or so. She said they will be calling.

I can't believe this. Now what to do.

I just saw the other thread of people with reservations at Teppan Edo that have called and been told that the rennovation has been extended until 9/15. With them not taking reservations at the Italian place that really cuts down the options at Epcot! Maybe they will open up reservations at the Italian place now....

Seems we have all been pushed off with the date change---good thing I DIS or I'd never have known it...talked to a few CM's and all have different opening dates--but I know it's well after I am back home :(

I called to ask and was told 9/15 and they even said "we will save you the phone call from us later where would you care to move too" of course all the places we wanted were full and ended up in Biergarten. Not even my 10th choice restaurant. I just hope it is good and not a sour spot on our trip.

I just read on another board that it was reopening as late as the end of September (I don't know if Disney really has a re-opening date set yet). I have ressies for the end of Sept, I hope they are open by then - the earlier the better.

I have been by there to take pics for my own site a couple of times this past month, and it didn't look like it was moving too quickly, just from what I've seen.
