Sept. 7, 2012 - Magic NYC - Canada

I'm so excited......we got our documents last night including luggage tags. Now all I have to do is sign up online and pack. We're ready to go.

I posted the following vote on FB and wanted you all to let me know please as well...

I'd be so grateful if you could help me out please. These cruises are my first official DIS meets. On the 9/12 cruise several of us mentioned how we really want to win a Spa Raffle that is usually at 3pm & they moved the meet to 2:30pm. I especially hope I win a much needed $120 massage as I do Physical Therapy for $20 1/week and a Massage Envy massage for $49 1/week b/c I've just had my 10th & 11th surgeries on 7/13 & 7/20. And 2 x $120 is double my budget for medical needs while on the Magic.

:flower3: 2:30 pm DISMeet Time (New Time Please)
:scared: 3:00 pm DISMeet Time (Original Time)

If it does start at 2:30pm it still could go to 3:45pm right before the Muster Drill. And that way it could accommodate all of us.

Your help on this is greatly appreciated! :thanks:

P.S. I've always wanted to do the tour as well as some have pointed out so how does this sound...

2:00 pm Tour
2:30 pm Start of DISMeet (we get there right as tour is finishing)
3:00pm for those of who want to win a Spa raffle we go up there for 15/20 minutes, Then return to the meet til 3:45
3:45 Head to Muster Stations printed on room key (We don't need to get life vests so no need to go to the room.)
4:00 Muster Drill

How does this sound? :scratchin

No need to change the time. Just show up,after the drawing. In the past cruises we have been on folks showed up whenever it was convenient after 3pm and before the lifeboat drill. You don't have to stay the whole time either.

Then we will celebrate yours on the last night of the cruise because it's the closest to your anniversary. 36 is definitely worth celebrating!

Does this give us a celebration each night? Should be lots of celebrating

We haven't gotten ours yet.

My dad got his yesterday, but my DH and I have not received ours yet. And we live in the same house! ROTFL. This happened in June as well. My DH and I received ours about 3 days before my dad got his.

I have just checked with several people who took the tour on the June cruise. It took just about the full hour (2 to 3 pm just as it appears on the Navigator). So unless you cut out of the tour early, you will not make it to the meet by 2:30. We can tell people to arrive at 2:30 IF they can make it but not to worry, people will still be there until 3:45. I for one will not be able to get there until closer to 3 pm. But if people want to get there early...go for it.

That's right....2:30 on the 7th in the Promenade Lounge and 2:30 on the 8th in Diversions....wear PINK.

We will do a cheers to your 20th anniversary of being a cancer survivor in Diversions when we meet.

Just want to confirm the time for the "pink" meet in Diversions on the first sea day. Your original posts said 3:00, and that is what is still on the first page of this thread. Your post above says 2:30. Either way is fine with me. Just wanted to double check.

Others have mentioned it ends at 2:30 down by Guest Services just a minute or two walk from the Promenade Lounge.

So we should be good :goodvibes

Thanks so much for this information. I was wondering how long it will be and where it will end. This will be perfect. I was afraid it would end where it began and it would take some time to get down to the Promenade Lounge.

Are your friends planning on doing the FE exchange as well??
!

Yep, we're all in for the FE, just under the wire! I am so excited, it's like Christmas shopping, or getting to re-do my wedding favors!
Looks like it's mostly grown ups, a bit of a challenge. I am tearing up my wifi looking for ideas. I am not very crafty, but I love buying gifts....

I noticed some updates to the FE list last night and I was hoping to confirm that I am reading it correctly:

Adults listed first, then name and ages of kids:

:flower3: Amy and Chris - Alexander (8), Nicky (7), Joe (5) Mary kate (3)

:flower3: Andrea and Dan - Nora (4) and Greta (1)

:flower3: Connie, Joan, Tom - Christopher (1), Tommy (10), Colin (6) Daniella (4)

I just want to make sure that I have the names and ages of the children right (and that I didn't confuse adults with kids). My gifts are age/gender specific and I don't want to offend anyone and the the spreadsheet is not clear to me.

Thanks,
Tammy

Perfect for the Amy/Chris crew and the Tom/Connie crew. The age for Alexander is 8, it came up as a smiley!

Just about every night.....we have four couples to celebrate and five nights on the cruise. Some of us will be going to Palo for one night. Hopefully not all on the same night. John and I have ressies for the 8th for Palo dinner, our first sea day.

I'm so sorry for the confusion. I thought I originally said 2:00pm and then someone asked to push it back a little because they were going to Palo brunch. So I made it 2:30pm. I didn't even look on the first page to see that it said 3pm. I'm going to keep it at 2:30pm and even if people show up at 3pm, we'll still be there. So it's all good.

NOTE***** I went back and looked up the first discussion of having our PINK drinks in Diversions. I originally said 2pm but LWQuestie is doing brunch that morning. She requested that we push it back to 3pm. SO it is indeed correct on our first page and I stand corrected. I'll probably be there at 2:30pm anyway.....hahaha.

Ok Tammy, you seem to be the most up-to-the minute on the FE, riddle me this.... (I just got off my 5th 13 hour overnight, and math is NOT an option, but online shopping is)...how many men, how many women, how many boys, how many girls, and how many cabins? I simply cannot read the chart on my iPod at his point :)
Thanks!

:rotfl2: - we can always shop can't we :rotfl2:

I had to make my own spreadsheet - right now I am showing a total of 22 cabins - 25 ladies, 16 men and 12 children - hope that helps.

Just what I needed! Thanks Tammy!!!
:jumping1:Ok I need help! The last spreadsheet I accessed earlier today shows 17 staterooms. Would someone be so kind to provide a link to the final spreadsheet with the stateroom numbers we have so far. I need to send off to BFF who is leaving CA for NYC to meet us on the ship!:jumping1:
Thanks Sue
