Sept. 7, 2012 - Magic NYC - Canada

As requested, here is the FE list based off of the entries via the previously posted webform:

Excel Version
PDF Version

It looks like a total of 43 Adults and 12 Children across 22 staterooms!

The webform will remain live to grab any folks that want to add their name, however the consensus on the thread was to have a "cutoff" by the 1st (today). We always have a few extra FE gifts, or create something in case a last minute participant wants to join in.

Webform Link

Many questions have either come up here, or via private message about how to read the spreadsheet.

The original intention was to have participants fill out a webform, which automatically updated a spreadsheet. Since a few cruisers wanted to either see the list prior to the 1st (today) or wanted to update their previously entered information, it was opened for viewing via a different link. Some cruisers started entering information directly into the spreadsheet, rather than via the webform. Which is fine, however the webform was changed due to feedback received, and the existing cells could not be modified or it would break the links in the data table back to the webform. :thumbsup2

I hope this helps clear up any confusion. Feel free to shoot me an email with any questions! eoppie AT gmail DOT com :cool1:

Thank you very much! I did this for our last cruise very low tech your method it great! :worship: Sue

I have just checked with several people who took the tour on the June cruise. It took just about the full hour (2 to 3 pm just as it appears on the Navigator). So unless you cut out of the tour early, you will not make it to the meet by 2:30. We can tell people to arrive at 2:30 IF they can make it but not to worry, people will still be there until 3:45. I for one will not be able to get there until closer to 3 pm. But if people want to get there early...go for it.

What areas does the tour touch upon? Would there be anything new for somebody familiar with the ship?

Just about every night.....we have four couples to celebrate and five nights on the cruise. Some of us will be going to Palo for one night. Hopefully not all on the same night. John and I have ressies for the 8th for Palo dinner, our first sea day.

We will be at Palo for dinner on the 8th as well :cool2:

:flower1: Thought I would pass along that I was traveling back from Washington and picked up People Magazine in the airport. Lo and behold, I see Minnie in an ad for Opi. They are introducing a new line of colors, the "Minnie Mouse" look! I need to see if any of the stores around here are carrying. :)

Hi, we are signed up for the fe and we do not have our cabin assigned yet. What happens if it is not assigned until shortly before the cruise?

Maybe we should devise some way to identify staterooms legitimately on the list?

This has already been discussed and there is a plan in place.

Here is the information as posted on the Facebook Event Page and Eric mentioned it on here as well.

WHAT IF YOUR ROOM CHANGES OR YOU UPGRADE AT THE PORT OR RECEIVE YOUR ROOM ASSIGNMENT LATE?
You have a few options.
1. Come to the Meet and Greet and let us know!
2. Stop by my room 7026. I will have a pen and folded list with a column that reads: "New Room Number" in one of the pockets of my FE. Just write in your new room number! It might be a good idea to stop by my room first before delivering FE's to see if there are any changes to room numbers. Also, if you get to a room and you don't see an FE hanging on the fish, DON'T leave your gift on the floor in front of the door. This happened to someone on another cruise who upgraded at the port and people were dropping FE gifts in front of her old door! So please, just stop by my room to check for the new number.
3. If you are planning on trying to upgrade, bring a sheet of blank address type labels or a packet of neon colored Post It Notes. Write: "We have a new room! ##" Try to deliver your FE the first night so everyone knows your new room number!
4. You can also try leaving a note with your new room number on your old door. This works if no one else is moved into your old room.

Good morning all!
I was wondering if anyone will be driving and parking at the port? I saw a note in another(?) thread that said parking was $35/day. That's much cheaper and more convenient than taking the LIRR and a cab for 6. My questions are:
1 What is the address of the garage?
2 Do I need to make a reservation?
3 Will my 7ish foot high van fit in that garage?
Any feedback would be great...thanks again!
Amy

That's right....2:30 on the 7th in the Promenade Lounge and 2:30 on the 8th in Diversions....wear PINK.

We will do a cheers to your 20th anniversary of being a cancer survivor in Diversions when we meet.

Aw, that is so sweet! Thank you! princess:

I'm so excited......we got our documents last night including luggage tags. Now all I have to do is sign up online and pack. We're ready to go.

I only have my 9/2 but not my 9/7 nor 9/12 :sad2:

My dad got his yesterday, but my DH and I have not received ours yet. And we live in the same house! ROTFL. This happened in June as well. My DH and I received ours about 3 days before my dad got his.

Probably has to do with last names :lmao:

Ok, so those of us who want to start at 2:30pm will show up then; those of us who want to nip off to win Spa prizes at 3:00pm like me who is winning this time, lol; then we come back for all of us staying til 3:45pm just before the drill :cool1:

Thanks so much for this information. I was wondering how long it will be and where it will end. This will be perfect. I was afraid it would end where it began and it would take some time to get down to the Promenade Lounge. Linda

Let's cross our fingers that this will be the case ;)

Yep, we're all in for the FE, just under the wire! I am so excited, it's like Christmas shopping, or getting to re-do my wedding favors!
Looks like it's mostly grown ups, a bit of a challenge. I am tearing up my wifi looking for ideas. I am not very crafty, but I love buying gifts....

Have you seen either the DIS or FB threads devoted to FEs? :scratchin

Thank you, Thank you

:rotfl2: - we can always shop can't we :rotfl2:

I had to make my own spreadsheet - right now I am showing a total of 22 cabins - 25 ladies, 16 men and 12 children - hope that helps.

What are the genders of the children as my gifts are both age and gender specific. Thanks! :upsidedow

Thanks for coming up with this plan Maria and Eric! :goodvibes

Looks like 8 boys and 4 girls.

Still haven't gotten our cruise documents. I'll be stalking our mail person later today.:p

The parking lot is adjacent to the pier at 55th and 12th Ave. And yes, it is $35/day. I'm pretty sure it can handle vans, but you can double-check by calling them at (212) 641-4454.

My wife and mother are driving from Rockland. I'll be coming from work and meeting them there.

Nope! :lmao: On our last cruise I got mine about 4 days before my dad. Again, same exact mailing address. J does come before K so that could potentially explain it this time around but not last time. It's all so random!

Wonderful!! Thanks so much, I guess you've done this before?
