Did anyone else get a call from DCL saying their excursion was cancelled? DCL called and talked to my DH Tues. morning and said our Adults Only sightseeing excursion was cancelled. Now I think this was for Halifax but I'm not sure and they woke him up when they called. So now I have to go and see which port it was for.

We have not booked any excursions yet. Please let us know what was cancelled. We are all paid up and booked Palo brunch but have still been deciding on what we want to do in port.

We haven't received a call and are going on the wine tour in Halifax. Checked our reservation and it is still showing. Hope it was an error for you.

It was the Trolley Tour Around St John - adults only, that was cancelled. That's fine, I just booked the regular one at 9:45.
I see that they must have also cancelled the Train Tour there as it's showing as sold out just like the one we had originally booked is showing.

Just checking in - we were away for a few days. I'm going luggage shopping this afternoon - hoping to get new suitcases with the four rolling wheels. Just can't decide what size to buy - 2 that are carry on size or one carry on and on larger I also want to buy two duffle bags. We are also taking the 14 night Panama Canal cruise in December and will be taking 3 carry on suitcases to avoid some of the baggage fees. Decisions, Decisions.

Did everyone get their Palo reservations that they were hoping for?

Whichever you choose make sure it is light weight. The fees for being a pound over on checked bags is more than for another bag! Which airline allows 3 carryons or are you just hoping they will allow it. We have not had much luck with Delta or Airtran allowing more than 2 carryons.

We got our Palo reservations. We are only doing brunch and there are 4 of us. We got the second sea day at 10:30.

We have done just about all of the tastings. One day on our Baltic cruise DH amd BIL singed us up for all of them and we had 3 on the same day!
Tequila/Margarita, Rum and Martini are my favorite. DH usually signs me up for the beer with him so he gets twice as much!

.....All of the tastings and three on the same day.....do you even remember that you were on a cruise? hahaha.....seriously, I'm sure you had a blast!!!

We decided to book this cruise because my husband will be away for the thrid year in the row and miss our daughter's 6th birthday on August 3rd birthday. He was in Afghanistan last year and training for the deployment the year before, and will be at training this year.

Anywho, he will be back in time for this cruise and he has no training until 9/15 so here we are!

We are three travelers, DH, myself, and DD we booked an Inside GTY and this will be our 4th Disney Cruise. We did the May MED in 2010, XMAS 2010 (both on the Magic) and APR 2012 we were on the Fantasy.
I actually prefer the MAGIC over the Fantasy. Cabanas is better on the new ship but other than that the older ship has the forgive me, the MAGIC and

I was on the maiden voyage of the Dream and I love the Magic the most too. I'm so happy to be sailing on her again for this cruise. I've been on the Wonder a lot lately. It will be great to be on my favorite ship again.

Thanks for the positive thoughts! I was successful! We'll be at Palo Brunch on Saturday at 12:30 and Palo Dinner on Sunday at 7pm. I had to move times around (a bit stressful at midnight!) but it all worked out. I got them added to our excursions as well. We have the Coastal Peggy's Cove and Wild Blueberry Tour booked.



We'll be celebrating my mom's 60th on board, also August 3rd!

That's great news!!! I'm glad Palo worked out for you and your family. And you got them on your excursions too. That's awesome! You'll all have a great time.

OH NO....that's aweful!!! Bad enough to be cancelling your excursion, but they had to wake you up to tell you. So now you're half asleep on the phone and have no idea what they're telling you. Just great. Duh!

I hope it's easy enough for you to get it all figured out.

On FB everyone said they wanted a refund for the train ride excursion because it was so bad. So DCL refunded 50% to everyone. So I'm sure they will take it off of their available list. I had the train booked and when I read that I cancelled it and picked the trolly tour adults only. Then I changed my mind and switched it to the river boat ride. I guess I picked the right thing in the end. I hope they don't cancel the river boat ride for lack of people. Guess we'll see if I get a phone call about it.

On the longer cruises I always go with one check in bag and one carryon bag. So does DH and I just take up some of his suitcase space because he always has room left over and I always need more. hahaha.

I went with the carry on - weighs 7.2 pounds - very lite. Sorry for the confusion, my DD will be traveling with us in December, so we will have 3 carry ons

For our 14-night cruise (DH, me and DD 14) I am hoping to get by with one large checked suitcase and 3 carry ons - but I am willing to do a 2nd checked bag if needed. We are doing a FE exchange on that cruise and I'm afraid I need one suitcase just for my gifts.

For the 5-night cruise I am determined to pack in 2 carry ons and a duffle - I know I can do it! right

I'm not too concerned that it was cancelled. I just booked the regular one, which is fine. They didn't wake me up, I'm in FL and DH is in DE. DH works nights and is used to getting woke up by phone calls. Plus I don't think I told him that I had booked an excursion so he would have been confused if he was awake too.
