Really surprised about the tips being included, I would imagine that we will add more should the service warrant a token of our appreciation.

I forgot this is our first DVC member event, but not our first DIS event. This is going to be soooooo KEWLLLLL.

The other events we had our plans already made so could not make those.

Listening to Sirius vacation channel all morning off the sat dish. May did today go buy fast, it's 3:00 already, better get out and walk the dogs.

Still I am very amazed as to how quickly this event sold out.

My DW, myself, and our little boy Aidan that we are in the process of adopting from Russia will be going. This will be our first disney cruise and second member event. We booked a cat. 7 room. What better way to introduce Aidan to our disney fervor than a member cruise!:earsboy:

This will be our (DH- John and myself- Pam) first member event (joined DVC in '99). All it took was two cell phones, one land-line, and an hour. Thanks to the dis dvc board for the #407 tip.

We're DINKs as well (dual income, no kids). This one is just for the two of us:love2: . . . we'll be on the Nov '05 Magic western with his family (again. . . we did this in '03).

Now all I have to do is plan where we'll be before and after and how we'll get there.

Pam - welcome to the DIS! Edited to add - ok so you registered in 2000 - only 4 posts? Well welcome to the cruise board and the thread. So glad you'll be joining us!

... of looking around rather than adding to. Could not have had half the fun on our many trips to BWV if not for these boards.

I am a planner by nature (used to be a professional event planner)--- so, let me know what I can do to help.

I think it's time we had a little party!!!

LOVE IT MARK!

We got in around 9:35 AM, got our Cat 11 room and will be mid ship on Deck 7......to us, an excellant location:D

Anyhow, my name is Darla and travelling with me will be my son Steven (12 now, will be 13 for the cruise) my twin sister Deb and her daughter Leeann (4 now, will be 5 for the cruise). We are all very excited!

I booked the BoardWalk studio for the night before the cruise, I don't know if we will fly or drive, all depends on what kind of flights we can get!

See you all in 11 months! :Pinkbounc :bounce:

I got early dining, but she got late. Hopefully she'll get our dining, otherwise we may have to switch to late. :(

Ok, talked with MIL again tonight. She said Sally told her we signed up for late dining, so MIL signed up for late dining. I am SURE I told her early and even have on my little paper "first dining." So I looked it up on disneycruise.com and sure enough, Sally put us in for late dining. Not too sure how I feel about that right now. :( Now that the ship is full I seriously DOUBT *two* families will be able to make it into early dining--esp since I'd be WAY low on the waitlist.

Grumble

I made it! DH and I are in a Cat 5 on Deck 7. Our first cruise and our first member event! We always had something already booked when the last cruise and member homecoming were announced. I'm so glad that DVC announced this event so early. I am so excited!!

DH and I are empty nesters. We take grandkids to WDW often, but it will be just the two of us on this cruise. I wanted to enjoy it to the fullest. We'll take the grandkids some other time. Now I'm feeling a little guilty.

I'm looking forward to meeting everyone and having a magical cruise!!

Hi - Julie here. My boyfriend and I will be cruising in cat 6 midship, starboard side. I am the DVC member as of Oct 2004!!!

We made it!! I booked a cat 6 aft port side on deck 5 at about 12:15. :teeth: We have been DVC members since 2000 This will be our first member event.
This will be our second Disney cruise. My DW Lisa and I (Mike) went on the Feb 7-14 Eastern 2004 Cruise. My DW is a avid scrapbooker and looks foward to meeting other scrapbookers!!

Hi, Dorothy & Chris, members since 1997.

This will be our 4th DCL cruise, but lots of firsts!!! First member event, :cool1: first time to cruise DCL without kids, :love2: first time in a Navigator Verandah room (deck 5), :cloud9: and first time to meet all of you!!!!

Do we really have to wait 315 days???

:jumping1:

Here is a list of folks who have posted here thus far, getting to be a pretty good sized group.

Ok confession time, how many of you were wearing an item of DVC clothing or drinking from a DVC cup yesterday morning? I will throw myself on the sword and admit I was.

After looking at Mark's prior work and wrap up of the last member cruise, I am sure we are in for some pretty neat stuff. Can't wait.

Looks like we have members from the early DVC Days - through just this month, folks from all over the US.

I was still in my PJ's.( PJ's have Eyore on them! I had forgotten that they are Disney too!) No DVC on me. I was drinking hot tea out of a Disneyland Mug! Does that count?

I don't think they've ever sold DVC jammies so I was only wearing my Mickey jammies and drinking my morning drink out of my Disney Vacation Club mug. This is going to be a fun group and a fun cruise and we're taking over the ship!!! Again!!!:sunny:

I was drinking out of a Tinkerbell cup at the time. My husband thinks I obsess to much over DVC. I have tried to explain and he told me he will leave that up to me.....I was on the very first member cruise where the ship only had half of us and the other half were people trying to figure out what was wrong with us....For the ones that went on the last one how was it?

I am on party deck 5

PS the only other deck that I have had a room on has been on deck 7. Also I have only had a verandah room and now I won't have even a window is it going to be a big deal..

Hi! We'll be there. Cindy, Gary, DS10 Cameron & DS5 Walker. We've been members since 2000 although we've added on several times and just sold our original contract. So, technically, I'm not sure when our membership actually begins anymore.

This will be our first cruise. We have talked many times about cruising but I've always been a lot intimidated by the whole idea. I know there are people who cruise for the first time but there are so many seasoned cruise veterans than it kind of scared me away from booking one. Not this time though. :teeth:

We did attend Member Homecoming in May and loved it. My family has since decided that any Members Only events we will try to participate in. We have so many memories of WDW but by far, some of the most special ones happened during MH. I still smile thinking about my little DS's reaction when we got to the end of Peter Pan that night and they told him he could ride again without getting off. The look on his face was well worth the $$'s we spent.

I hope to bring those lifelong memories home with us from the Members Cruise. :D

Cindy

We're starting to think about how and when we are going to get to Florida.

For most who cruise, do you stay at WDW the night before or someplace closer to port? Also, the night the cruise ends, where do you stay?

Thanks for any help.

Cindy
