Thanks for the information. I probably will get a quote now and then see if I can push my family to make a firm committment. Being there would be at least 4 different families booking, possibly more 8 if not more, I'd rather do it as a block booking if that's possible.

My neice did tell me there are discounts offered to book another cruise while on the ship. It just might mean booking yet another one.

At least now I know where to start.

Two years ago, they offered a 50% discount when booking on the member cruise. I saw it on the navigators from back then. I am not convinced that will happen again. If it does, I will book upwards of two or three cruises while on board. 50%!!!!!!!!

Do you know if the 50% discount back then would have applied if using DVC points as well (1/2 the points)? Oh, it makes me wonder! Do they always have some type of discount if booking onboard, even if not 50%?

Happy Sunday everyone! Another week closer to cruising!

It was almost Springlike in Chicago yesterday - very nice!

Cindy - I believe I have heard if you have 8 or more rooms booking together that you do get a discount. I really would suggest you check out the Dreams Unlimited site and ask them.

Carrie - yes there is always some kind of incentive for booking again on board. For the last Member Cruise I believe the 50% off was for both cash or points. Don't know all the details as we already had a cruise booked and couldn't take advantage of it.

Good Morning Mary, Scott , Amy. How are you guys? Just think, we could all be having an early breakfast together on the ship. I know my group will not be up.
The countdown is really cool. THe reloc cruise will allow me to relax, this cruise , I will get excited( going to WDW and the Tobias family with us).

Moring coffe for sure, for sure the repo cruise for some R&R, we leave this Friday for a few days at sea and diving. I gotta get my sleep pattern back to somehing kinda normal. At least 6 hours a night would be nice.

Photo gallery update! We have uploaded a few new pictures to the photo gallery. May apologies for taking so long on some of these. In doing a search of our web log we found that some people had taken images from our site and had linked them to their own sites or used in their signatures here on the DIS (much like the lifesaver logo but we gave everyone permission to use that). Anyway when someone does that the bandwith gets charged to us so we needed to do some re-arranging.


Anyway we now have Malone's family up on the site.

In addition Kathy and John sent me a sketch for a t-shirt logo. Remember that Mark and I are doing buttons for eveyrone but not t-shirts. Kay is taking care of those. We will, however, be happy to host the designs for the t-shirts so everyone can see them. I think Kathy and John came up with a great design! Let Kay, Kathy and John know what you think! If anyone else has any designs they would like to share let me know!

Wanted to ask this today so I don't forget tomorrow. If you could (and if you believe in it) please keep Grandma Lightbulb in your prayers tomorrow. She is undergoing surgery. Grandma is Mother to OhioMickey and MIL to Ohiominnie. They will be sailing with us on the Member Cruise.

Thank you Mary for displaying our drawing.

Our thought behind the design was to keep the life ring concept and to show the family unity with the listing of the resorts. The addition of the ears with DVC and DCL gave recognition to both operations and we had to have DISboards in a predominant spot since it is at the heart of our group.

The color scheme is red(the safety stripes), white(the ring) and blue(the lettering). The grab line around the ring is gold and DISboards of course is GREEN.

Hello from California - I made it here on Sunday night so I missed DVC chat - I'll be staying til early March and then back home by way of Texas to meet up with a few DISers I hope. I left Michigan around 10 am on Friday so not too shabby. I'll try and make it to some chats but I will be heading down to the desert for a few days to rest my weary bones.
Lots of interesting posts to catch up.

Karen's update on Grandma Lightbulb:

Hey all. Thought I'd update you on Grandma Lightbulb's condition. She went to surgery today around 2:30. This evening we found out she does indeed have ovarian cancer. The doctor proceeded to take out lymph nodes and totally inspect all inside parts of her. Right now he says he feels very good that he got it all and that she will do very well. Of course, she will have to have scans of every part of her to make sure, but from the surgeon's POV, he seems very positive.

Mike has talked a couple of times with her dh and got the report that his mom is pretty groggy, in a lot of pain and not really communicating right now. I'm sure Mike will talk to her as soon as she is able.

the logo for shirts from John and Kathy is very good. We will work on adding the dates of the cruise also.
I just spoke with John and everything is going along real good. We just have to keep "sickness" away from all of us.

Continued prayers for Grandma Lightbulb... My mom had ovarian cancer 2 years ago, and is fine now. It was quite a scare for us. The family is in our prayers.
