Good morning everyone!
Well, we closed on the house and everything went smooth! So we will be packing over the next week or so and moving up to NC Memorial Day weekend......Steve is set to start at his new job on June 1. So, I might be a little absent, but always thinking about cruising!

Hi everyone!! I went ahead and started the Roll Call for the cruise. You can find it on the very first post of this thread. Check it out and either PM me or reply to the thread with any edits, additions and suggestions. I've also included the bracelet sign up, Palo High Tea and started a section for scheduled meets and kids' login info. Whew! What a task! I printed and went through the entire thread - do you know that there are over 200 pages of posts? I think most of it was signatures! DH thought I was crazy sitting there with my highlighter in hand.

Hope everyone is having a great day. Weather here is WONDERFUL and I have my first iced mocha of the season. joksten2000 - even though the weather here is great right now, it's unusual. Our summers don't really heat up until after the 4th of July (big joke around here), but with global warming who knows what to expect? And, Alaska tends to cool down even more in the evenings than here in Seattle, so I would pack a mixture of clothing. I'll keep you informed along the way. Where do you sail out of? Seattle? Vancouver? The Alaska summer cruise season started about two weeks ago, so all the ships are back in port here. Seeing all the ships has gotten my family abuzz with excitement!!

Oops, I forgot - congratulations Kamy and Steve!! I'm glad closing went smoothly and I bet DH is looking forward to his new job. Good luck and we'll keep you in our thoughts while you are away.

Thanks for the update on conditions, Shiela I feel like I have an insider now. We sail out of Seattle, Could not get a flight out on Friday so we are flying on the day of the cruise and I'm not happy about it. We are due to land at 10:30 so if there are delays getting off the ground we should have plenty of time. I decided not to get travel Insurance, hope I don't regret that.

Kamy & Steve - What's up, I had all these wonderful plans to visit you on the cheap on our way to WDW. What a bummer Now we'll have to start all over. I guess I could just pull up to your old house and act like were relatives that didn't get the word and tell them our plans were to stay a week. Maybe they would put us up if I looked desperate enough.

Sorry joksten....but the new house is much nicer...and we are kind of on the way! LOL! I am so jealous....Alaska and DCL this year....ahhhh, we should be the ones mooching off you!
You know, Raleigh is only 40 minutes off I-95, you can stop there anytime!

Thanks Angela for the congrats! We are very excited but not loving the whole packing thing
Also, thanks for doing all the leg work for our group....it is so helpful!

Helllllooooo!

DH's b-day today and he is on duty...DD and I "celebrated" at the pool for him..I have a very deep base going for my cruise tan...I like to get brown before I cruise, so I don't burn.

DD had to bring the school's ebear "Foggy" home for the weekend. She writes all the adventures they had together in Foggy's journal...Foggy went to the pool with us...and look at the towel she used!!!

I haven't been to those islands..I went to St Croix, Guadeloupe, Grenada (yuck), Venezuela and Aruba..I LOVED, LOVED, LOVED the diving in Aruba...sunken U-Boats...gorgeous water...fab people...sad that it has gotten bad press because they had very strict laws there.

Doesn't St. Thomas have the outside market? Or is it St. Marteen? I love outside markets and plan on spending some time shopping for wares!

We are still planning on going to Great Bay Beach for jet skis in St. Marteen.

If I could figure out how to post my door signs that I've made I would. I'll have to sit down and figure it out. I've made a couple so far...

Just wanted to add DH & I to the 9/30/06 Eastern Magic cruise. We will be celebrating our 19th wedding anniversary!
We can't wait! Cruise is all paid off. Now we stare at the calendar.

Hey everyone! Just taking a break from packing....
The worst part is that I have a terrible sinus infection and feel so awful...so packing up to move is not going so well. Oh well, what can ya do!
We will be disconnecting the computer tomorrow, so I probably won't post again until after we get settled and get things re-hooked up.....

Cruise update for us: my mom is now joining us! It should be great since she is mainly going to help out with Ryan and give us some free time! She is really excited as this is her first 7nt cruise...she did a 3nt in 2001. So Ryan and grammy will get some good time together....she is happy about that since she only sees him every few months (she lives in Michigan). Also, we have two friends from VA also cruising on this sailing. They have yet to check in on the DIS, so we will wait and see!

Hope everyone has a great memorial weekend and we will talk to you soon! Only two more days and we are off to NC and our new home!

Welcome Cheryl! Wow! 19 years - that's great. We'll be celebrating our anniversary on the cruise too. Ours will be "lucky" 13 in September!! Will it be just you and DH cruising?

My mom is going with us also to help with all 3 boys, will be good to have some time with her for me also.

Hope everyone has a great holiday weekend, we are going on a short trip tomorrow and be gone for a few days. Then in 20 days going for a quick 3n cruise, boys are staying behind for htis one
