Sept. 30, 2006 -- Eastern Magic

David,
We have early dining reservations. Does not matter to us th erotation, but we could hook up reservations. We would not have a problem with that. Just let me know.

Hey! Did anyone else get their "Sailaway Package"?

I got it on Saturday when I was on the way to the pool...it was nice to sit and read it while lounging by the pool...makes it feel more real!

Hi Betsy,

I haven't had coffee yet, what's a Sailaway Package?

David

Mom got her sailaway package yesterday.. Hope to see ours soon. Have looked at hers and it is pretty cool.. Just lets us know that we are that much closer to leaving!!!!!

The sailaway package is just something with all the excursion info and general ship information. Very cool!

I saw that someone on the Sept 9th got theirs a few weeks ago, so I figured that I would get mine soon too!

Did I read that if you have booked thru a TA, that it takes longer to get this package?

I want my sailaway package!! How exciting, it's like its really happening now and we can actually start making plans -- how surreal is this? I guess I'm just having a moment...

I can't wait to meet all you guys! and I think the bracelets are a great idea - DIS green is one of my favorite colors! ::yes::

FYI: 12,430,900 seconds until the Sailaway Party!!!! :cool1:

Also, I must be dumb or something but I don't remember getting this package. I'll have to look thru all my saved stuff and see if I can find something from last year. I booked with a TA too, I'll have to call her.

I missed part of the conversation about bracelets. I think I'd like to take part of this as well. Do we have somebody taking orders? :thumbsup2

Gotta get back to dinner....

David

I am booked through the TA Dreams, so there goes that theory!

We need to get this thread MOVING! My friends are laughing at us for only having 20 pages!!!
At this time last year, we had 47 pages!!!!! and we didn't cruise till Oct 29TH!! TALK PEOPLE!!!!

TALK!!!! :rotfl:

Thanks Betsy,

I was thinking the same thing that we need to get the group moving.

I know what got a lot of the ladies going on the last thread...

SHOPPING!!

So what can I expect to buy for the wife while we are in St. Martin? Gold? :woohoo: Jewels?

How about St. Thomas? :yay:

Tell us about the deals you've gotten (or heard of)! :confused3

What about food or drinks that we need to consume while on the islands?

Where can I get a KILLER Pina Colada? :drinking1

Who doesn't have their 'shoe holders' yet? Who Doesn't know what the 'shoe holder' is for? Hmm... I can't hear anything? :listen:

Guys... What about cigars & alcohol? Where can I get the best rum? What kind of rum is the best?

OK, I'm tired now.

Somebody type something. :surfweb:

I can't remember if this has been covered already, but I was just curious as to what deck and category you are booked in.

Has anyone been upgraded?

I have a SPH 5520!!!! SCORE!!!!!! Great window at a Cat 10 price!!! WOOHOO

we are in 6120 and 6122. Wish for upgrade, but we sure do need to have connecting rooms. We are very happy where we are. boys will be close to go to the clubs

I think they send it to make sure you know when to pay your bill. Sorry I've been so quiet. With my DD pregnant, she calls daily to make sure we haven't forgotten. Everyone is starting to chatter about Alaska-50 days. On the 4/15 I asked at the checkin if upgrades were possible and for $284. we went from cat 10 to cat 8. That was a great savings. Would try again but probably wouldn't be able to get the same cabin on the 10/07 cruise. The weather here in NJ is very hot, in the 80's today, TG rain is forecasted for tomorrow, we really need it. Great score Dis trying to get a SPH for years

We are in 6542 - Category 6, deck 6. We were originally in 6042, but I heard here on the boards that starboard is better than port for the Eastern, so I switched. Still haven't gotten my package - we booked through Costco. :confused3

Yes, I have my over the door shoe holder. Not really planning on buying anything big at any of the ports - unless something shiny catches my eye! Better make sure DH has a few :drinking1 before we go shopping! That's how I got my Disneyland trip back in April - tee hee :rotfl2:

David - We have early dining too, so hooking up ressies would be fun. I'm totally confused by the rotation, but your suggestion sounds great.

I'm still hoping that the women are planning on having tea at Palo? I love little sandwiches - especially when I don't have to make them. :cloud9:

How was your WDW trip? Haven't heard a peep from you.

Nobody excited about wristbands? I loved ours and will be the order taker if noone else wants to. Anybody?

It's hard to get excited right now, maybe when school gets out.

Busy looking at Modular Homes, my neighbor got one and I'm very impressed. Very exciting watching them lift it over the telephone wires with a crane. My DD just got an estimate on a 1824 sqft house complete with basement and a lot of extras $188K Now all they have to do is find some land. A lot cheaper than trying to buy a home on the market, and new is always better than used (lived in). Since we are excited to baby sit we're thinking of buying one next to them, but I think a little smaller. I really had no idea what a basement cost, I thought $7500 that was a fantasy the quote is for $26,425 quite a difference, it's funny how prices go way up when you haven't looked in years. Pretty scary for young people just starting out. We certainly don't want a mortage at our age. Don't want to hit the retirement fund, want every penny there, the market has been doing grrrrreattttt. As Tony would say. Since October it's been scary how very very well we've done Hope it keeps up for another year. We all know what goes up must come down. I don't want to live through another down turn, so I'll watch closely and get out, not be greedy.

:cheer2: :cool1:

Hello all! I haven't posted in a while. Trip is paid off and now looking into the airfare. Whew! How expensive! I just want two seats, I don't want to buy the airline!

At any rate, how do you request dining rotation? I would love to be at Lumiere's on formal night, how do we go about doing that? Does anyone know if you dine in Lumiere's formal night, when your character breakfast will be? My DD (yes, we are contributing to the girl count) will turn 8 on the Monday of the cruise and would really love to have the character breakfast on her birthday!

Thanks!

Bracelets are yours if you want it...I am sooooo busy here at work! I think i may go insane! But it does make the time go faster!

Hi Sheila,

You can call DCL directly to request the rotation you want or you could have your TA do it if you have one.

I'd love to get bracelets for our group (kb1esx & DiDi) of seven. Do they come in different sizes?

Sheila, I don't know how the character breakfasts work out. If you don't get what you want you can probably change it once your on board ship.

Lets see...

12,258,549 seconds to the Sailaway Party!!
