Welcome Cheryl! Wow! 19 years - that's great. We'll be celebrating our anniversary on the cruise too. Ours will be "lucky" 13 in September!! Will it be just you and DH cruising? :listen:

Angela

Yes, Just the 2 of us. We have no "human children" but a 6 year old black Standard Poodle, who makes up for at least 2 kids! :Pinkbounc :rotfl2:

We are the Neals from Portland :hippie: Oregon. We are celebrating (late) our 20th wedding annivesary, which is actually in June.
We are DH-Truls; DW-Robin. We are bringing our two DD-Hannah (12) and Eleanor (10). This is our first cruise of any sort and our first trip to Disney World. We have been to Disneyland CA at leat a dozen times. We are spending three days in Disney World prior to cruising. My DD would love to meet girls there age on the cruise.

See you in Spetember!

Truls & Robin

Hi Truls & Robin & girls,

In about 124 days you'll be hearing an anoucement similar to what I said when you board the ship. It'll be quite a rush. Well it was for me.

Welcome to the extended family.

I've got 2 boys almost the same age as your girls. My oldest turned 13 last month. No teenage horrors yet. :rotfl2:

I may be biased but my kids are great. Ok, I AM BIASED. :cheer2:

Off to take the gang to see X-Men III. I hope it's good. :confused3

I so wish it was time to go already. :sad2:

Take care all & have a great holiday weekend.

David

Welcome Neal Family!! Glad another Pacific NW family is joining us. :umbrella: Yea, we are adding quite a few more families to our roster. :thumbsup2

Sounds like a lot of us are celebrating anniversaries. Lord knows we work hard for them!! :rotfl2: :rotfl:

Hopefully tomorrow is sunny - we want to go to the zoo, but it's been kinda soggy this weekend. :umbrella::umbrella: Keep your fingers crossed for us.

Cheryl -- I hear ya about the furry little critters! We have 4 of the feline persuasion. :cat: We are actually outnumbered by our pets! Oh well, what can you do??

Hope the rest of your weekend is great everyone!

Angela :wave2:

Welcome aboard! My dd is 12 also! I would love for them to chat prior to the cruise. She has made some great friends in the past. :sunny: We will also be at WDW prior to the cruise (at the Beach Club Villas). Send me a PM and we'll get the girls e-mailing!

Hi Tammy,
That sounds great. Hannah's email is iceskater1230 at hotmail com. She says she would love to get to know some one else her age on the cruise. Tell your daughter, Hannah is in to ICE SKATING (surprise), horses, music (she plays the piano), soccor and music. Thanks for replying.

Hi David,
My girls won't admit it to us, but they like playing with boys too! We just have to pretend we don't notice. Thanks for the warm welcome. I look forward to seeing you all in September.

Truls

Oh that would be great! Hopefully they will hit it off right away and Hunter can convince Trenton that the clubs are fun. Last cruise he stayed with us the entire time - his favorite activity was Bingo although we played the family games and basketball. Oh and he loved shuffleboard.

I am sure the boys will hit it off well. Maybe Hunter can convince him to go to the club at least a few times for you. They boys have never cruised, so it may be interesting for the first few days. They hear about us going and have begged to go, so I am sure they will be pretty excited. off to work talk to you soon

Well...my sister Fran (tchrmom) and BIL Dave are on the MAGIC right now....makes my cruise lust kick into HIGH GEAR!!!

Hi Betsy, :wave2:

How many days do you have until you are able to book Palo, excursions, etc.? I'm taking a quick break and inhaling my lunch as I type.

32 days...I think it is July something...I can't wait!!!!!

Betsy,

I'm right at the beginning of July too. How's the new job, busy? I've been so swamped that getting to the thread is really hard. I quess I'll just have to start my early morning posting and then make a wager to see if anyone can beat me to the thread. If anyone does, I'll have to bring them a gift from beantown. :teeth:

I can't wait to start booking things, like my massage!! Do you want me to try to book the high tea for the group so we have a fall back just incase? Do you thing that all of us will be booking at 12AM or what? Last year people stayed up to book things, I just slept in until 4AM and then booked. Since I'm not the night owl, I just couldn't do it and I still managed to get my massage, brunch, and dinner(Palo).

I hope you had a wonderful long weekend. Did you do anything special? We got our season beach pass at Little Compton in Rhode Island. We went yesterday a bit chilly but Patrick still went in and rode the waves. I wait until the end of June to wet my toes.

Well, I quess I should get back to work know. I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend.

THE COUNT DOWN IS ON...... :cheer2:

I didn't book mine last year until 75 days out and I had Palo, massages and all no problem. I did book the Palo brunch the day I boarded.
Anyone do the Online check in yet? I did and so I am all ready to check in!! COME ON!!! MOVE IT, MOVE IT!

I did the online check-in also!!! It is close. I can't wait. I do not think I will make a single reservation this time. It drives my husband crazy that I preplan everything and then have dates and times with places to be - ON VACATION. I figure it will be fun regardless of what I pre book and he will see how important it is (that way I can pre-book next time without the complaints!!!LOL)
Shirley

Hi All,

Welcome Shirley & family!

I did the online check in and it seems very nice. Much better than trying to fill out those little paper stubs that you get in the mail.

I bet this will save DCL a lot of cash and the cruises will all get a lot cheaper? Huh? Do you think so? :thumbsup2

I was reading a thread about learning how to make mixed drinks while on board. I think it costs $15. I think that sounds like a great way to spend an afternoon. :drinking1 :drinking1 :drinking1  :faint: :headache:

Night all!

I'm like you, one vacation I made no plans and my DW understood real quickly how much she missed having things to do. I never go overboard but it's nice to have some things to do. Keep up the good work and pay him no mind. :cool1:

I am glad they have the online - I did not like trying to fill out the papers either. Last cruise I went on, I filled out the online info also - they still sent the book of forms - It was nice to see what I did not have to do!!!

I do not usually over plan (IMHO), last cruise I had a Palo ressie and a massagge for DH and I. Well, he wasn't hungry and didn't want to go to Palo (ate to much lunch wvwn though I told him about Palo) and the massage ended up being during a Bingo game (heaven forbid). He was really bummed. How was I suppose to know the Bingo would be the highlight of the trip.
:confused3 :lmao: OH well, live and learn.

I think I want to try the Tea or brunch but I do not want to plan anything - for fear it might be during BINGO :teeth:
I am taking my parents this time - perhaps I will plan their cruise fun - that way I still get the fun of planning and it doesn't effect my husband at all!!!

Can't wait to go!!!!!
Shirley
