By my count it looks like around 25 - 30 kids on the list so far. If we do the kids only, does that mean we put one thing per child (30 things per night?!) on the FE? Or do I not understand how this thing works? Somebody help me!

I'm all in for the FE, and think my kids would love it, but taking 30 gifts per night for even 2 or 3 nights is alot of stuff! And where in the world would we fit all the stuff from everyone on the FE? Again, I am probably just confused !

Maybe if we split it up, so that maybe a few families deliver each night, so the kids get something each night, but it's only 1 gift from each family Just an idea. I don't think any of us want to have to pay to bring an extra suitcase, just for FE gifts, but at the same time, it will still be fun to do a bit of with the kids

I think splitting up is a good idea!! All the kids would get somwthing every night but they wouldn't be overwelmed. If we split into 4 groups then each group could take 1 night

My DH and I don't have any little ones, but I would be willing to do something small for each of the kiddies one night. (I'm currently surfing all over oriental trading for something fun!). I think the grownups need a little love too, so I think that if we break it into groups - and on each night, the groups visit the FEs and leave behind a gift, and then rotate. You'd get a little something every night, and everyone gets a treat.

And we'd be up to a meet and greet on boarding day. I suggest we decide on some place fun, and meet after the drill and sail away. By that time we should be fairly settled in and ready to start having fun! We'll attend any get togethers planned, but I'd be willing to organize a get together for those of us cruising without kids if anyone would be interested.

Let me know! Only 2 months, 2 weeks, and 5 days to go!

I have found (this being my 10th Disney Cruise coming up ) that by the time the drill is held and the sail away party is winding down, first dinner seatings are getting ready for dinner and second dinner seatings are headed off to their first show of the cruise.

I'm not trying to discourage you from planning the meet and greet then but you might want to keep that in mind.

i agree with crusin if you could plan some thing before the drill count me in having sailed numerous times after the drill you wanna go up to the deck party besides we need a drink to get throught the boring fire drill so im game at any bar you wanna meet at thx for planning it for us

I am booked for this cruise, too. Actually, it will be my DH and two grandsons ages 9 & 8 and myself. We have a guaranteed cabin cat 12, but don't know where we'll be yet.

I've been reading all the posts and finally decided to join in.

This is our 12th (I think) cruise, but first one with grandchildren and Disney. I have a few questions I hope some of you can help me with. Here goes:

Can we request a table for four? Usually, we like to sit at large tables and meet new people, but this is a "special" family time with the boys so we thought a small table would be nice.

Does anyone know if there are submarine excursions in Nassau? I know there are in the Carribean, but I can't find any in Nassau/PI. The ship does not offer them and I'm having a difficult time searching for one. My 8year old GS REALLY wants to go one one and I told him I would try and find something.

I think that you can call and request a certain size of table.

I'm not sure that they will guarantee it, but they will at least try to give you what you want.

I can't help you with your excursion question.

Eventhough I've been on many Disney cruises, we don't usually do any excursions at Nassau.

I think because we do have fellow cruisers without kids it would be great to be inclusive and look at one gift per family for the whole cruise. Let's say you pick one day and theme it e.g. sail away, pirates or something representing home (I'm sure I saw a photo on another thread of all the gifts one family received - I'll see if I can find it again). So then you pick the day you would like to leave something and that would be it. That way we can probably cope with the current list which is around 20 families, even if this increases before we depart.

It would be great if you could attach a little tag saying who you are, room number and where you're from.

I have booked the Blue Lagoon Dolphin Experience excursion.

As I said in a previous post, we usually don't do excursions in Nassau but I thought..... what the heck, let's be different this time

When we cruised in January part of our party did it and they loved it.

I just hopped on the DCL website and noticed the Nassau shore excursions have changed since I last looked and they don't include all the tours advertised in the brochure DCL sent me after I paid. For example the Historic Nassau Tour has changed and is now longer and includes a cultural component, also the historic thrillboat ride is not advertised.

Does anyone have any information about these changes? Is there a possibility of further tours becoming available once we are on the ship?

Just a heads up to those who were planning on a Palo brunch.

When I booked my excursion I checked and there were no times available for Palo brunches

I don't know if more will open up or not.

There were places available for Palo dinners though.

churros, can't answer your question about the excursions because we don't tend to do them, so I haven't really paid much attention to that.

I just decided on the Dolphin excursion on a whim.

I thought, what the heck, let's do something different for a change.

Hi all,

I know tomorrow is the day to book everythng, but I just checked my reservation (you never know) for grins. I made final payment last Friday and I wanted to see if it was updated. It wasn't, but my concern is that it showed we declined trip insurance! I did get insurance and paid it with my deposit. We have taken about 10-12 cruises, but never with Disney, and always get insurance. Should I wait until tomorrow to do anything about it?

i have never bought the insurance for any of my cruises i would just call and make sure it is on there i know they can add if up to 24 hrs before you cruise so if they made a amistake they can just fit it

According to the cruise critics site, there is a nassau submarine excurssion. If you check out their web site under ports and bahamas (I think), it will show one. The following is from that site.
