Sept. 28th, 2008 - Oct. 2nd, 2008 * Wonder 4 Night *

i never sailed gty do you get your rooms before you get to the pier :confused3 i hope so

I'm not sure how many Cat 11's there are but could probably figure it out if I took the time to count them:thumbsup2

On previous cruises a lot of people tended to get put into Cat 9's:confused3

That would be great but I'm not counting on anything.

there are 147 Cat 11's - I pulled out the deck plans in our AAA brochure.
DD is watching 101 Dalmatians (again)
so I had a little time...

(13) Cat 12 standard inside stateroom - Deck 2
(147) Cat 11 standard inside stateroom - Deck 5,6,7
(96) Cat 10 Deluxe inside stateroom - Deck 1,2,5,7
(175) Cat 9 Deluxe oceanview stateroom - Deck 1,2
(60) Cat 8 Deluxe oceanview stateroom - Deck 5,6,7 front
(30) Cat 7 Deluxe stateroom w/ Navigator's Verandah - Deck 5,6,7 rear
(128) Cat 6 Deluxe stateroom w/ Verandah - Deck 5,6
(104) Cat 5 Deluxe stateroom w/ Verandah - Deck 8
(80) Cat 4 Deluxe Family stateroom w/ Verandah - Deck 8
(18) Cat 3 One Bedroom Suite w/ Veranda - Deck 8
(2) Cat 2 Two Bedroom Suite w/ Veranda - Deck 8
(2) Cat 2 Royal Suite w/ Veranda - Deck 8

Only two more months:yay:

generally yes you do.

About a month before the cruise departure date they start to assign cabin numbers.

If you keep watch on your reservation, you will be able to know your cabin number in advance.

A way of finding out when they are about to assign them is to find the cruise threads for those just before ours and see if anyone is waiting for cabin assignments.

When they start to get theirs, ours won't be too far behind.

gr8leg8, looks like you had fun counting all those cabins:lmao:

I did count the cat 11's myself the other day but forgot to post the total;)

Make that 11 of 12 cat 12GTY! I have 2 reserved for my family of 5 and another for my sister's family.

I would like to thank everyone who is organizing the gift exchange etc.

My wife and I will be cruising with our two daughters (8 and 3) and our son (4).:grouphug:

My sister will be with her husband and sons (6 and 4).

I read a bunch of the threads and picked up that there will be a gift exchange using the fish extenders as well as a meet and greet. I am sure that the details will be surmised once the data approaches.

Thanks!

PS Anyone else book a room at Atlantis? I booked at atlantis for ~$170 then saw that Comfort Suites was less, but decided to stay at Atlatis because I thought check-in would be easier. Anyone had any experience?

I just booked Comfort Suites for $106 pre-tax. Total with taxes/surcharges will be $135 for my husband, myself and DD7. So excited!! That is a heck of a lot cheaper then the excursion which would have cost us hundreds of dollars. I checked Atlantis and it was $199 with $62 in taxes/charges. I think if the difference is only small it is worth it to book at Atlantis but for us it was more then $125 difference so we kept the Comfort Suites. From what I hear, that might be the cost of our lunch there. :rotfl:

We are newbies at Castaway so I thought it would be smart to not book anything that day. We want to explore and take it all in.

We did get Palo's reservations the last night at 8:30 but depending on our dining rotation, I may cancel once we get on board. I don't want to miss Animator's Palate.

We did sign my DD7 up for the kids club. I like that you can do that online. I don't think we will be doing any spa either. Maybe a 7 night but since this is our first time on the Wonder, I want to keep my options open.

Still don't have a room assigned yet but I don't really care at this point. Anywhere on the ship is fine :goodvibes

I've considered doing the Comfort Suites thing, but my concern is that if we get rerouted b/c of weather (it IS hurricane season!), I'll lose my money. As much as we're paying for this vacation, I really don't want to throw away $100+

I guess I am feeling not so crafty,
a cute pink four pocket fish extender on ebay was calling my name tonight.

Right there with ya on the crafty part...I picked up the 2 pocket blue Mickey/MinnieFE from ebay.

Just going back through the posts and wanted to clarify how everything was going to be planned out for the FE. I beleive we decided that we would do this in groups? Group one gets the first night to deliver to familes, group 2 the second night and so on...is that correct?

Also wasn't sure about when our DIS meet was going to be. I know we have plenty of time to plan things out, but just wanted to make sure nothing had been set in stone.

And finally, arg, was anyone planning on getting dressed up for pirate night? I believe our current dining is late, which seems to be a crunch many times for pirate night. If we get that changed to early, we would consider dressing for the part and giving those pirates a run for their treasure.

I was at the local farm market this weekend and it was the strangest thing....there was a stand set up that was selling Disney themed hanging organizers, magnetic message boards, large Disney decals and a whole assortment of Disney themed gifts.

Needless to say, we went to town and for less than $40 were were able to buy everything we needed the fish extender & door decoration, plus we have a duffel bag full of Disney trinkets to give out.

This makes me wonder is this idea of doing the gift exchange and all is more pervasive than just us DISers??

Getting close....can't wait to get room assignments!:wizard:

No I think we are just giving one gift per family/stateroom and you can choose which day you want to leave it eg sail away, pirate night etc. I think this is managable but we will need to make a cut-off date in early September.

Sorry to hear about your surgery, and hope you are recovering well. We'll miss you in the FE exchange, but I'm glad you'll still be at our meet. I also have a DS12, and think it would be great for him to meet someone early on that he may be able to hang out with.

Only 53 days to go! WOO-HOO!!:cool1:

Hello Cruise mates,

Does anyone have a Pal Mickey who would be willing to join us on our park days prior to cruising?

We would be able to return Mickey to you on the cruise.
He will bring back a souvenir from his trip.
After we get our photopass cd I can send him the pictures from his trip. :cool2:

Of course we would gladly pay shipping.

Please let me know if you are interested.:flower3:

This is 1, 2, 3 day, yay. One month, Two weeks, and Three days. I new if anyone would understand my excitment it would be our meet thread. Have a "Wonder"ful day!
