"items we need to purchase...BEFORE the cruise?" Oh man, I've got to spend MORE money before we leave???

I know what you mean...underwater disposable camera, more sunscreen, one of those solid air fresheners short of shaped like a curvy cone, more alcohol prep pads for cleaning the remote control and the rental snorkel  , downy wrinkle release.....

30 days it is!!! Can't wait.

Yesterday, my DD turned 2!!! She had a great time blowing candles. Big B-Day celebration along with my DM will be during Labor Day weekend. Margaritas :banana:Margaritas!!!

Happy Birthday to your DD! My youngest DD turns 2 on Sept 20th and my DH's bday is Sept 24th. So we'll be celebrating on the ship. But DD's party is Sept 12th - Mickey Mouse Clubhouse is her theme! Appropriate, huh?! ;)

Just got an email from my FE lady.....Tiffany.....she is back and ready for orders.  I gave her my info. Dont think she has anything on Ebay, so if you need her email address, just send me a pm.

YAY :cool1: another thing to mark off my neverending list.....

Yay for you! So glad you finally heard from her and that you'll be getting your FE in time!

our sweet DD5 broke her wrist last night! she fell face first off her swingset and sustained a buckle fracture to the right wrist! she was in some pain and it is now wrapped and splinted and she's gotta wear a sling. we will see the orthopedist next week and find out if she needs a hard cast and for how long. in the meantime she can't do her tumbling class, can't do soccer, and can't get it wet. :sad1: i'll be praying real hard that its good enough by cruise time for her to enjoy the water stuff. she loves water so it would kill her to not be able to swim in the pools and on the beach :beach: and miss the stingray feeding.

So sorry to hear about your DD's wrist. :sad1::hug: Hope she's feeling better soon. My friend's DD just broke her arm at the beginning of the summer and the ortho gave her a waterproof hard cast. That way she was able to swim and everything. Are you able to get one of those?

Anyone planning to have spa treatments, excluding Rainforest passes?

We are going to do Rasul one day and we may get a one day Rainforest Pass. Not sure yet, though. I think I read somewhere that after you do the Rasul, you can use the Rainforest room...anyone know the answer to this? :confused3

Anyone know how much a week long spa pass is?

I think the week is $75. Day is $15.

I know what you mean...underwater disposable camera, more sunscreen, one of those solid air fresheners short of shaped like a curvy cone, more alcohol prep pads for cleaning the remote control and the rental snorkel  , downy wrinkle release.....

Add to it...pants hemmed, FE gifts to finish up, travel size shampoos/toothpaste/deodorant/etc., new memory card for video camera, new charger for video camera (lost ours), goodies for kids' goodie baskets, hmmmmm, what else?

Finally! I just finished printing up all of the magnets for our door! Now I can't wait to decorate!!!! :woohoo::woohoo:

Busy weekend, have to go with my sis so she can try on her wedding dress :lovestruc, then DD6 has a sleepover bday party, and I have to work 12 hrs Saturday night. Then Sunday, I have a baby shower to go to and another 12 on Sunday night! :crazy2::faint:

But, the busier I keep, the faster the time will go by, right?:yay:

i'm with you: so much to do that these next few weeks will fly by. :goodvibes even got our check back from TA/disney (we sorta paid for the cruise twice - long story) so feels like more spending money.

what does a spa pass get you? been thinking about booking massage (maybe even couples since so many people say its great). whats in the rainforest room - never been there but anticipating more grown-up time this cruise. what about rasul? hhmmm where to spend my money?:laughing:

our printer broke a few weeks ago (shut off and now cant get it to turn back on) so now i'm stressing about printing my door deco. gotta get myself together. orthopedic appt for DD5 tuesday - maybe will get a cool cast for keepsake! she is already asking when she can take it off - its gonna be a long few weeks :crazy2:

You already got your answer. :) If I were you, I'ld take a daypass first, check out what you can get for it, see if you like and than prolongue it to a weeks pass. If the odd chance occurs that you do not like it, no money lost. :)

Anybody likes more spending money. :thumbsup2

Unlimited access to the Rainforest room, which Passporter describes as;

"An innovative, relaxing "thermal suite" with a dry sauna, a chamomile-essence sauna, a eucalyptus-essence sauna, and special showers that spray water overhead and on the sides. The main room has four heated, tiled loungers".

Rasul according to same Passporter;

"This unique treatment is inspired by the Rasul cleansing rituals performed in the Sultan's harems during the Ottoman Empire. You are escorted to the tile-lined ritual chamber, which is a suite with a sitting area, steam room and shower. Exfoiliating mud is in a small bowl- smear mud on yourself or on each other and relax in the steam room to absord the minerals and trace elements from the mud. Afterwards, shower off and apply complimentary lotions and scrubs."

Maybe turn it into a game or something for her? Get her a calander where she can mark down days untill getting rid of the cast (tell her it'll be 6 weeks, if it does turn out sooner it'll only make her happy). Or maybe promiss her a small gift or something during the cruise -might even be something you were planning on doing anyway, but her not knowing yet- for being such a trooper.

Untill then, it is the ultimate game for many kids to gather as many of her friends autographs as she can.

Good luck with the days and/or weeks left!

Oh totally. :)

We loved it on NCL, though. Forced us into relaxing/pampering/recharging alone a bit.... made for a nice vacation and it was a scream and tantrum free zone.

:littleangel:

Good morning!

Thanks for all great spa responses. I am still thinking/deciding if we want to keep a Palo dinner ressie, Day 4 St Martin @ 8pm. My mom is not interested at all. Should I cancelled it? Will I be missing something? :confused3

Currently at work :sad1: At least you guys are keeping me entertained!

I have placed an order for rum runner flask, hoping to successfully bring "undetected" alcohol on board.

I was also thinking if we, adults can plan an evening get together w/o kiddo's while on cruise?

Just tell her to trust us and do it. :) We won't steer her wrong. :thumbsup2

Don't cancel. If you do, it's gone. No way of getting a new one before embarkation, which would mean some hassles after boarding. You'ld rather cancel on the day before than now and later finding Mom all interested.

Once aboard, she can scope out Palo's menu and if you've got brunch scheduled; the restaurant also. It might chance her mind. Or not, but it's easier to cancel later than gat a new ressie later.

Cancel order. DCL lets you bring alcohol on board as long as it is your carry on bag

Mr Julesnharrison would like more information about this.

So he'd have to either put his stash (Crown Royal I'm sure) in his suitcase or we'd have to buy it somewhere on Orlando.....

I wonder if there there is a close liquor store to the Dolphin...?

The stash would have to go in his suitcase on the way to MCO per airline regs. Then while you are at the Dolphin you would need to move it to your carry on because DCL regs include no food or drink in checked luggage.

Good to know! Although I worry that all of his clothes are going to smell like whiskey because the bottle would break.

Hm.

:upsidedow

edit -- I think he could get a non Crown Royal brand in a plastic bottle and keep it sealed.... that might be the best option.

On Tuesday in St Maarteen you can buy liquor at the duty free shop and just carry it on board. Or if we get moved to a Western Itinerary get it first day in Key West.

Most of the Disney Hotel gift shops do sell bottles of liquor. You pay top dollar but it is still could be worth it.
