Next thing of business; deciding on a spot and time to disclose who's whoms Secret Mickey. Everybody OK with Friday October 2nd right after the PJ breakfast? I know most of us will be there anyway, so might be a good spot?

Great idea! I like Friday instead of Thursday. Our PJ breakfast is so early that we will have plenty of time to do that and be ready for the Paradise that is Castaway Cay. I can already taste the Conch Coolers now and feel the swaying of the hammock on Serenity Bay.

Guys, I know we have discussed this issue off and on a couple times, but do you think that we should firm up who is going to be hosting the white board (for those who get upgraded at the Port, or to otherwise communite with our peeps). If it's okay, I'll be more than happy to do it...I know for sure that our stateroom isn't changing. Is everyone cool with that? Any better suggestions out there?

OK, had a look at the navigators from last February. Around 3 there seems little to do, only the talent show rehearsals, group cycling and some kids clubs activities.

So, new proposition;

Revealing of the Secret Mickeys on Thursday october 1st, at 3.00 pm. Who's for and who's against? It would still leave us with location. Was thinking about Topsiders, but the buffet ends at 2 pm. Does anybody know if Topsiders stays open afterwards or not??

I was thinking of any of the bars/lounges...they are usually pretty quiet during the afternoon. I'm not doing Secret Mickey, but just throwing out a suggestion!

Pillowcases for signatures: worth it or not? Anyone ever do it?

Itinerary change: Yes, totally agree that a day on a cruise is better than a day in Pennsylvania BUT I've been on 5 Western Itinerary cruises and only 1 (my first cruise over 12 years ago) Eastern. So I'm really pulling for no change. I'm just sayin'!!!!

Jacq: When is your flight to EWR? If you are leaving around noonish, Continental, we are flying together.

Glad to know about the no liquor in the checked bags. Will be flying with one empty carry on. We are in Florida for 3 days prior to cruise to buy all of our liquids alcoholic and otherwise.

Pillowcases for signatures: worth it or not? Anyone ever do it?

We did a pillowcase in April 2006 on the Wonder. It was great. We ironed on a picture and Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy, Daisy, Pluto, Chip and Dale signed it. I think that is it. However, after several washings the ink has faded (we used a Sharpie) and the iron on part is kind of cracked. This time I'm buying mats for pictures and colored sharpies and having the characters sign those. I know some people request certain characters to sign it, but I like being surprised! Then I'll use the mats with pictures of my girls from the cruise, frame it, and hang it in their rooms. Another thing, my DH suggested doing something like a placemat. Characters can sign something and you can laminate it or just buy one of those plastic placemats at the Disney store. I think that's a great idea,too!

I agree as well. However, I could care less if I ever went Western again. We've done the Ocho Rios, Cozumel, GC route before and besides GC, we don't like it. Last summer, we did Ocho Rios and Cozumel and they were both smelly, dirty, and gross! So unless we ever do a Western with different ports, I'll be sailing Eastern. However, if we change itineraries, oh well. Nothing we can do about it!

Good idea with the empty carry on! We're not big drinkers - we'll probably only have 1 or 2 drinks/beers during the day, maybe a glass of wine with dinner. It's nice that Disney allows guests to bring on alcohol though.

I've heard that the pillowcases fade pretty quickly. I think that I'm going to buy a black frame, and then give a silver (or gold - haven't decided yet) marker and ask the "characters" to sign with that. Then, maybe I can find a cute black and white picture to put in the frame.

I personally can do either day for reveal and be where I need to be.
I am planning on doing photo mats and having the charcters sign with my metallic scrapbooking pens.

I have done pillowcases and photo mats.....my daughter hung her one of her pillowcases up on her wall....the other pillowcases have been put up. Never put them on pillows or washed them.

As far as the Secret Mickey Reveal...the breakfast will be ok with me. I just may have to leave early....dont want to go out on Castaway Cay and ride the jet ski in my jammies....

We're on CO293 scheduled at 1.50 pm. I think you are on the earlier flight, CO1493?? We didn't feel safe enough to book that one, with the extra time needed for international and stuff. Would be fun to share a bit of the travel though!

Boy, just finished a 10 hour workday. Guess it shouldn't surprise me anymore at how run down it makes me feel, after all it's not like they decided I'm 'work-incapable' on a whim. Great day though, very productive and now I've got 2 weeks to relax before doing some havy partying with the Big Cheese. Whoohoo!

I am not sure that the pj breakfast would be the right place. There may be people that didn't participate in the secret Mickey and would feel out of place having that announced and not being a part of it. You should plan a time just for that if you want to reveal it. Just a thought.

Crystal Did you meet your DDs teacher and explain about the cruise? Did you find out the school policy? Hopefully you all will be able to go to MNSSHP!

I bought a pack of colored markers, put the mats and markers in a gallon sized ziplock bag, wrote on the bag how many markers, how many mats and my cabin number and gave this to customer service. The characters used different colors and it looked really nice....did the same with the pillowcases.

I hope to get started on all my FE gifts and cruise packing by Monday....just trying to get thru the wedding on Saturday right now!!

As to Ansley's teacher, I still haven't told her. Ansley actually was not on her best behavior today (how mortifying, right?) so I don't want to add insult to injury by telling her teacher "the news" (however, I guess if Ansley continues to act up, maybe her teacher will celebrate our going on vacation - LOL).

I....just trying to get thru the wedding on Saturday right now!!
