Sept. 26,2009 Magic part 2

Quick question - DH was thinking of wearing his dress uniform for formal night - should that be ok? Alternative is his formal kilt (and my man has nice legs), which could also work.

I personally like the dress uniform idea. :lovestruc

Men in uniform are usually received incredibly well on cruise ships. :thumbsup2

DH wore his kilt the other day to a festival. My FB friends can see it in my mobile pics, I think. :littleangel:

Ah... we live in DC, where men and women in uniform have been spit on when riding the subway. Always like to test the temperature before DH wears his uniform to civilian events. We don't want to ruin anyone's (especially our own) evening due to emotional politics.

DH is planning to wear his kilt for semi-formal night - will your DH do the same? Kilts rock! :yay:

BigJon: My apologies for the room assignment. At minimum, check with FatCat on what time you should leave your room briefly on Thursday night!

Florida is HOT. Soooooo great. We are having a nice time, but so overshadowed by the excitement of our Disney cruise. We plan on going to the beach today. Right now...chillin in the room while DH went and brought us up breakfast in bed. Freshly made Belgian waffles, cereal, bagels. The buffet is starting early!!

See y'all soon!!!!

Disney cruises aren't very political. :wizard:

Nah, he said he doesn't have a proper jacket to go with his kilt, so it's staying home. Which is fine because he's already over packed. :rotfl2:

This time tomorrow we'll be on a layover in Memphis! Woo! I may or may not be back on, but we'll see everyone soon!
:dance3:

I suppose I should think about packing today.

FatCat....it is time to pack!!!!

7am is way too early for me to be functional, too!

Same here!! Too early for me (although I will be up since my youngest thinks 6am is her normal wakeup time!)

I wanted to do this, but 7 am is way too early for me to be functional!

Time has been changed to 7:30am if that helps any!!! :rotfl: Disney just told us to be there when Lumiere's opens....I am not sure if that is 7, 7:30 or 8 :confused3 so I just put 7:30am. If you change your mind, let me know. I may just tell them we might have a few last minute people show up. The dining room manager is supposed to get in touch with me once we are onboard. I will give him a few days and then contact him myself to verify everything. I have printed out all emails between me and DCL and bringing them with me for proof that this was planned and ok'd.

I leave in 24 hours!!! :woohoo: Finished with packing except for toiletries and last minute items. I am soooo excited and ready to meet all of you!!! :grouphug:

Good mornin' all!! It's our last day before our trip and what a hectic week it has been with the flooding and general craziness. DD's school has been cancelled all week due to the floods, so, if all goes well and *IF* they cancel school again for Friday, we'll be attending MNSSHP!! Gee, knowing now that we were getting a freebie week from school the week before our cruise, I would have booked a week's stay at Disney World.

Let's see, since we're discussing our remaining "to-dos," we still have to pack, wash the car, schedule online bill payment for whatever is due before we come back, call our credit card company and tell them to allow any overseas charges, and print off all of our confirmations for the trip. Oh, yeah, and I somehow have to make it to the pedicure salon before they close tonight and get a quick pedicure. So, here I am at work trying to rein all my excitement in and get some work done when all I really want to do is play, play, play. I can't wait to meet you guys in just a few short days (I can't beleive it's almost here). Safe travels to everyone who is leaving out. :grouphug:

Is there a Saber?

I need to open the champagne I am bringing on

We are doing the disney excursion to Coral World that includes the semi submersible.

http://www.coralworldvi.com/activities/

If I had older kids I would be all over the sea trek

Appears to be $48 more for my family of 2 adults 2 kids via disney.

But this does not factor in Transportation to and from.

So I do not think the upcharge is that much more.
It states it is a 25 minute drive So I can only imagine the shuttle vans being at least $4 a person each way.

We were thinking of doing Coral World on our own. I'm especially excited for the swimming with sea lions, which is quite a deal when compared to the dolphin excursion offered through Disney. Perhaps we'll see you in passing!

Awwwww, that sounds like a fun, fun time! I'm sure that swimming with the sea lions will be something that you never forget.

Okay, I think this is me signing off.... I don't think I'll be on here between now and then, so :yay::woohoo::banana: and see you soon!

We're still here! We will be here until at least noon tomorrow. All packed except the items that can't go in until the morning. Went to the grocery store and picked up some road snacks and trashy magazines. Good times!

In 12 hours we will boarding our jet plane and winging our way to MCO (via Houston). A little MNSSHP tomorrow night to tide us over until Saturday!!!:cool1::cool1:

See 'ya at the terminal or at Diversions at 3:00

Just got off work..Yeah !! no more work until October 5..boy is it quiet in here..I can now saw that tomorrow we will be on the cruise..we all packed and going to go to Mickeys Not So Scary tonight..which is so much fun..can't wait to meet fellow Dis's on saturday..safe travels to all..and fatcat start packing lol:rotfl:
