Hi guys well the cruise was wonderful! I did have issue with another cruiser at CC but I will get to that later.

I do want to brag and say that we only spent $299 on the ship!!!!! I am so proud! That was without skrimping either. We definitely drank less than our last cruise but that was because it was alot hotter than last year when we went in NOV. Heat and alcohol don't mix with me so we had a couple of drinks but not enough for a crazy alcohol tab. DS got some things including the $45 (!@#$) pirates costume and a pin and he needed a basketball (go figure) but we did not go nuts in that department with. I spent about $110 on pictures but $53 of that was on my MILS account (we splt a package). So technically I spent $352 if you add in what I paid her.

I was worried about the weather since the forecast said rain for the entire time. But we lucked out plus with the Capatain's help we had clear days. I think it rained over night while we slept but you can't count that LOL. Seas were moderate when we headed out. 2 of our family members out of 9 had a hard time DH and I had on our Dramamine patches and it didn't affect us at all. The servers were apologizing at dinner but if that was the worst it gets than DH and I are happy.

The kids had a blast in the Mickey pool and loved the slide. We also brought them up to the sports deck where they played basketball since all the balls were being used we went and bought them each a ball (two 5 year old boys were in our group) the 7 year old girl was fine to color while the boys played. She eventually joined in playing ball with the boys.

We enjoyed the food although I don't think it lived up to FILs expectations. Their friends who cruise alot (never on DCL) told him you could order lobster every night if you wanted and he was expecting it. I couldn't remember if they served it (I assumed they had) and when he asked at dinner and was told they don't serve lobster he was dissappointed. He completely enjoyed the buffests since he is a more meat and potato type of guy. Put a glaze or a sauce on somehing and it doesn't appeal to him. So as a group it was a hit or miss depending on who you ask on if they enjoyed the food.

We stopped at Nassau and checked the kids into the club for an hour while we went to town. Well we were gone for 1 hour 30 minutes and headed back. While we were walking back we were paged and our son wanted to leave but when we got there my neice and nephew also left with us. The said they hated it and asked not to go back there again. From talking with them for the rest of the vacation they said that there were mean kids in there. That was a shame since we really thought they would love the clubs. The ratio is kinda big I guess for young kids. It must be hard to keep track of all that goes on.

The day we docked at CC could not have been more beautiful. We got there early and got a spot right in front of the water play area. The family LOVED it and the kids had a blast. There were fish everywhere! It is truely amazing to see. The beach got crowded after 12 and this is where a problem arose. Two kids were playing at the waters edge and alot of people had chairs in the water. Ds and DN both 5 were playing in the sand and they were throwing sand into the water. I got up and told both of them to stop since it was crowded. They did and where getting water to fill a whole they were digging. When my son walked passed one of the boys he put his fist in my son's face (like he was going to punch him). I waited for a parent to say something to the boy but nothing happened. Then the kid kicked my son. My son is speech delayed so all he did was look at the kid and yell "No!" So I waited a few seconds to see if the parent would stop the boy and nothing so I walked over to the kid with his fist in my son's face again. I said "Please don't hit or kick him" just to let the kid know that an adult saw what happened. I figured the woman who was sitting by them was not their parent or she would have stopped he son from kicking mine. Well I was wrong. Once I said something the woman started yelling at me. 'No no your kids were bothering mine they are here collecting lizards' I looked at her and said "your son just kicked mine they are getting waterthey did nothing to your kids" So she started yelling alot of nonsense about how they are just playing. I told her I don't allow my son to hit and kick while playing. So then she satered saying "Boys will be boys" and I again said "No my son is not allowed to hit another child" Now I was shocked that she felt there was nothing wrong with her son threatening to punch and actually kicking another kid. So I just tried to stop the interaction with her because it was going no where. She felt it was no big deal if kids hit each other. So then when she realized I was not going to discuss it anymore she was now yelling
'Well your kid started it!' SO by now the kids are not near each other and DS and DN are playing off to the side and from all her yelling her kids are crying. So I so ok whatever and stopped even trying to talk to her. It was a loss. So a few minutes later the kids are near each other again and she realizes that the way she is sitting the water access is blocked from everyone on the beach because there are a line of chairs in the water and her kids are at the only opening to the water right infront of the water play ground. So she realizes that all the kids are walking by her childrens lizard collection and they are not intentionally annoying her children that they have no way into the water. So thankfully she moves.

The sad thing is that on sea day she is sitting with her children in the pool and now of course I have to keep an eye on everything just in case and of course there is her son walks up to mine threatening to punch him again. I have no idea why out of the blue this happens but fortunately my son did not see him do it and kept on swimming by. Now trust me my son is 5 and I know he is no angel but if he lays a hand on another child or even bothers one he is reprimanded. Another mom came to me and to me my son was poking her son while on line for the slide. I made my son get out and apologize to the little boy. Another mom came to me to apologize because her son dunked mine under the water. I mean this stuff goes on all the time. It is how it is ahndled that makes the difference. No matter what my son will never be allowed to hit another kid.

But enough about that it just was shocking so I had to tirade about it lol ANyway after the 5 minute incident that took up most of my post was over Ds eventually took a nap on the hammock and DH and I went snorkelling. It was my first time ever and my gosh it was becautiful. I even saw a stingray (which is supposedly rare to see while snorkelling) I even found Mickey! It was amazing. I would highly recommend doing that.It is an amazing feeling having fish swim around you!

Our servers were amazing! They remembered every detail for 9 people and being the boys are just 5 they still need booster seats and they had them in the same place every night. It's the little touches that make DCL so great!

Pirate night was fun I only wish that it could someehow be earlier DN was fast asleep by the time the show started and Ds fell asleep 2 minutes before the fireworks. The stuff is too late for the little ones. I wish dinner could be moved up and hour so they fireworks could be at 9 instead of 10. Our little pirates were pooped! LOL

The shows were great as always and the Castaway Club reception was really nice! I couldn't decide what too book onship since the day at sea was a little lost on us. I really wish we could vaction at Castaway Cay! It is the best bar none! I vote for a 7 day with 3 days at CC!

We saw you guys walking around!! How fun were you to see!!! We should have booked on board but DH wouldn't I want to do a 7 day in august. HAve fun during Christmas. That should be a blast!

Thanks for posting the trip report. The fact you even had to deal with that is SAD ...at least there are parents out there like yourself who know how to raise kids.

Thanks Jen. My son's behavior isn't always perfect but I discipline him and make him apologize. We would have been back on the ship in the cabin if he ever kicked a child especially right in front of me. That part was absurd.

BUT the cruise was amazing! I have NEVER seen Dh so tan LOL.

That's my fear - of being sea sick.... Oh well, i guess you can't let that stop ya from travelling huh?
