Julie ~ Sorry If I woke you .. NO, actually looking at a couple of different tarcking models, TD17 looks like it will slip away to the E-NE. Could have an impact on that 1st night if it keeps in that direction. Sea swells mostly ... Ship would have to stay closer to shore than normal route. BUT, all in all, looks like I will worry about where to take Chrystina  to dinner Thursday night instead ... Any suggestions? I was thinking either the Italian or French restaurant at Epcot ... I really hope this crazy little tropical depression will stay AWAY! If there are sea swells that first night, I will not be doing well. I would hate to miss out on our first DIS dinner together. :guilty: I guess I should not partake in the miami vice if that is the case, it only makes it worse! I have never been to Disney so I have no idea on the specific restaurants - but I know you can never go wrong with Italian! yum, yum! Have a great time, in case I forget to tell you later. You are too lucky to be able to leave on Tuesday! Woo-Hoo! (not wahoo :teeth: )

Guess where we will be one week from today?!

Eek! I just realized that my flight on 10/1 has changed times...now, I'm not leaving til 5 pm....hmmm, now I need to decide if I should go to DTD or bring several books to read at the airport...just whay I need, another decision to make, lol!

Julie ~ Doubt there will be any reason to skip your Miami Vice ... TD17 track appears to be far enough offshore - at this time. :cool1: MAGIC has stabilizers too. :sunny: Just stick one of those patch things on your ear and wash some dramamine down with a Miami Vice !!! :rotfl2:

Italian place at EPCOT is great food....

Becky ~ Sure DTD. I understand they have places to shop there! :confused3

Well, Chrystina  has started to do the "paperwork". It is my only requirement since I did everything else to get ready for this trip! :rolleyes1

Julie- Awesome map. Thanks for posting. Here's some more dancing! :cool1:  :Pinkbounc :rockband: :drinking: :jumping2: :jumping3: :thewave: :drinking1 :drinking1 :drinking1 :charac2: :dancer:

Dennis- Yes, I was actually taking a nap also.

Just went and purchased a new video camera. I will probably ruin it the first day by dunking it accidentally in the pool. It seems to be a vacation tradition for me!

Well, I keep saying I'm going to pack and never do much. So tonight is the night. The ironing board is getting the spider webs off of it! Ha.

Wow! Can you imagine how much fun Ingrid must be having about now? I'm sure she looks beautiful! Happy wedding day to the Gringo family!! You need to bring pics on the boat!

Well I shall go pack. I hope I really do it this time! You guys are so quiet.

Deanna

Wow, everyone is quiet today :confused3 Getting ready I'm sure.

We have also been watching those Tropical Depressions today
No Hurricane Dance :jumping1: :jumping1: :dancer: :dancer: :rockband: :drinking1 :worship: (thats for the no hurricane saint)

Julie: I've got Bonine already packed so come see me if you need it

SUCCESS :cheer2: I found some cute white slip on heels to wear to dinner :cheer2:

Oh good now I won't feel out of place with my bare legs :teeth:

Well the cat is out of the bag :cat: I told DH about the shoe shopping trip :scared: , I also told him about the linked dining :scared: , and linked Stingray City. :teeth: .......Soo now he teases me "Well what happened to our FAMILY vacation?".......Ok I'll take the bait.....I remind him "Your the one who WHERE EVER we go your making dozens of friends, I just made mine ahead of time :grouphug: " I really am the introvert in our marraige. Very shy and quiet usually the wall flower. So he gets a big smile on his face and says...."I KNOW I think its GREAT"...(that I'm meeting people that is) :cheer2:
But now he's throwing a fit about his dining wardwrobe. Proceeds to tell me he's wearing a tropical collar shirt, black suit coat, & tan pants to Palo :scared1: and doesn't want to wear a coat and tie for formal and semi formal.... :scared: .......DEEP BREATH ladies :earseek: .....we can skip to the end of the story.....I WIN

Hair is highlighted
Laundry is almost done
We're gettin closer

Hi Dennis,
I would suggest going to the Canada restaurant at Epcot. You will get one of the best steak dinners anywhere.

I second Canada. We were there when our beloved Red Sox were in the playoffs. It was great food and a fantastic group of people. I've also eaten many times in Italy, very good. Paris is a bit pricey but very romantic. My other favorite Italian place is in Downtown Disney, Portobello Yacht Club. The food is delicious.

This will be my 3rd cruise. That first night, even with the calmest of seas, kind of makes me a little green. It's not bad, but I always say, "I wish I hadn't had any alcohol!" It just emphasizes any rocking that may be happening. I will be fine. But if I take a bonine or dramamine I will be down for the count - esp. chasing it with a miami vice!!!! :teeth:

Deanna ~ Your anti-hurricane dances are getting wilder. I've been watching the Weather Channel today and see your motivation. :earseek:

Julie ~ That's an encouraging map. Didi, Patrick and I just got in from a visit to David and Kathy. Dave had turned the same NOAA map into wallpaper for his laptop.

Dave ~ We arrived home safely, and Didi and Patrick immediately raced upstairs and went unconscious. I'm about to head up, too.

Here's wishing a good night to all of you,

Bill (Didi, Patrick and Barney) :earsboy: :earsgirl: :) :cat:

Kim - Glad you found some cute shoes! Now I will be able to sleep tonight! :goodvibes My husband is certainly the extrovert of the 2 of us. He can talk to anyone, and he enjoys it! He's such a fun guy to be around. By the way, I just now (literally - this past minute) told Clint of our shoe shopping plans. I said that he and the kids could come, too, and we could make it our family's first stop in Key West. He replied, "I think that's something you should do without me and the kids." WOO-HOO! I am going shoe shopping without 2 whining kids and a shoe-disinterested husband!! Look out Kino Sandal Shop, here comes Crazy, Childless Julie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Deanna - How fun! A new video camera!

Won't be long now!

-crazy julie

I do think it helps to add the chug-a-lug smilie to the hurricane dance!

Wow! The cruise pile in the corner of the room is now packed. I've had a pile in the corner that I would throw things that I knew I would need for the cruise. The pile has been there for about 2 months. My room looks so much bigger tonight. Now I just need to concentrate on that 40 lb weight limit by the airlines. Yikes. :confused3 Who me?!

Things are now thrown on the top of each suitcase, but they need ironed, organized, etc. I still have a long way to go.

DHMcentee- Yes, Julie is the one who taught me the "wild side" of the no hurricane dance. One time she put the chug-a-lug guy in the no hurricane dance and I thought it was cute. So I just keep adding more chug-a-lugs each time! Thanks for the tip, Julie. :drinking1 It seems to be working. And by the way, don't waste your time typing that Didi is is bed. That is a given this late at night! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Everyone's stories about the shoe excursion are hilarious! Luckily the males in our group are scuba diving that day. I won't see much of them! We are free!!!!!!!!! Plus they won't know how much we spend this way! :rotfl2:

Julie- we ate at Panera tonight. I thought of you again.

Well...........back to packing. Ugh. Deanna :wave2:

Here is a different kind of no hurricane dance. I figure if we cool the air off in the region, then the tropical depression will dissipate! Here we go............
:cold: :cold: :cold: :cold: :cold: :cold: :cold: :cold: :cold: :cold: :cold: :cold: :cold: :cold: :cold: :cold: :cold: :cold: :cold: :cold: :cold: :cold: :cold: :cold: :dancer:

Deanna (Brrrrrrrr, is it cold in here, or is it just me?!)

We stayed at the WL on our trip before last. It was "MAHVELOUS!!!" :goodvibes

Seriously, it was one of the most visually impressive resorts in which I've ever stayed. I spent an hour shooting the place (with my camera, of course). I mean, where else can you have a river start in your lobby that runs all the way down into your swimming pool?

One week from today!!!!!!!!! :Pinkbounc :bounce: :cheer2:

EDIT -- Whoops! This is Eric, not Season... it logged me in automatically under her name and I didn't notice until it was posted.

Brother Wart Hog ~ I've accidentally done the same myself, although if the chatter is about shopping in Key West, then that was definitely Didi and not me. I am certifiably allergic to shopping.

We visited the Wilderness Lodge by boat for lunch. It absolutely blows me away that they could make you suspend your realization that you are in Florida.

Deanna - With all of your packing going on, I am getting inspired to work on mine some more. I feel like I am missing something. Oh, you ate at Panera! I will probably never be able to go that one in Town Center without thinking of you! I had such a good time chatting with you that day!

For those of you who have cruised before...............since I haven't booked my excursions through Disney, do I still need to bring my own towels, or when you get off the ship, can I take some from the bins. I wasn't sure if the bin of towels was only for Disney excursions. Thanks.

deanna

I have to ask you all....how on earth are you packing already? If I did, we wouldn't have anything to wear all week! :earboy2: Although everyone in the family seems to have a closet bursting with clothes, we wear the same things all the time. I'll be doing lots of laundry on Thursday and packing all night!!

Does this sound right to everyone?
Monday = Formal night
Wednesday = Pirate party
Thursday = Semi-formal night
I like to plan like crazy and wanted to make sure I'm on the right track.

SmilingMouse - Our flight leaves at 5 pm on 10/1 too - we're going to Downtown Disney during the day. I want to shop (especially the scrapbook store) and DH & DSs will go to Disney Quest.

This time next week we'll be out to sea! :thewave:

Guys ~ Just looked at the Wx again!!! :scared1: TD#17 is now Tropical Storm Phillipe and TD#18 is already established. V:scared1: GUESS where it is headed! :scared1:

TD#18 Path

This could be an interesting trip!!! :rotfl2:
