Wow. It's been so long since I posted that I had to log back in! Goodness!

Just wanted to let my sept. cruisers for 2006 know that we decided to go RCCL. Gasp. It is a hard decision, but we want something new. Disney was awesome, but it seems like it would lose some of the excitement the second time. We are ready for a new adventure. I will miss sailing with you guys again though. Feel free to join us!

Deanna!!! I missed you!!! I don't blame you for trying something different! Since my kids don't even use the clubs, I was looking at Carnival and RCCL. Let me know which ship you are on and when you are going. Are there any good websites like the DIS regarding RCCL cruises?

Decided to pop in and say hi! Holidays take up a LOT of "me" time!
Deanna, Sure hope you stay with us until after your RCCL cruise, and give us a comparison between Disney and RCCL! We've been delaying booking another cruise by Disney mostly due to the price, but reluctant to book on RCCL because I'm afraid it would'nt live up to Disney standards. I would sure like to hear from someone who has been on both!

We've decided on RCCL's newest ship due out in June, 2006. It is the one they've advertised on TV about surfing. We wanted something more for the kids since they barely used the kids' clubs. I was disappointed that they didn't use it more. So this time we are going on a ship with more things to do WITH the kids. The ship has a rock climbing wall, inline skating area, ice skating, kid's programming, surfing area, the top of the ship looks like a water park instead of just pools, miniature golf, movie theaters, etc. I feel like a traitor. But I had expected the kids to go gang busters over Disney's programming, and they didn't. So this time we will go into it with a better attitude about letting them hang with us. I know it probably won't be as kid friendly, but we needed a new experience.

Julie- Yes there is a board just like this one for RCCL. I've already met many of my new sailing buddies. It is at cruisecritic.com. The boards are set up similar to this site. That is one thing I really thought was cool was meeting all of you on this site. We are sailing Sept. 24, 2006 aboard the Freedom of the Seas.

WOW, exactly one year from the day that we sailed! You are a big traitor!! I'm just jealous! Is Lori going to go with you this time? I really do want to hear all about RCCL, especially that ship. I agree that it would be nice to have fun things to do with the kids. My kids didn't use the clubs much either. I'm sure by the time Addison is old enough to do the clubs, Briley won't even think about going to a club anymore. Oh well. We will go again in a few years. I'd like to do a big family trip when Chads' Mom and Dad retire from the business. I think it would be fun with the whole family (I probably need my head examined! ).

Julie, thanks for understanding my pain about the crib. Guess what? I'm still looking at it because Chad hasn't made it disappear into the attic yet! Oh Well, check in later!

Hi Deanna and Ingrid! Guess without Deanna onboard the Magic, we'll all have a better chance of winning some prizes! Can't wait to hear how RCCL is. I think, because of the kids' ages, this next cruise with DCL will be our last.

And where's Kim? All that rain and no postings from her. Sure hope everything's OK.

By the way, Kim, Erin, Deanna, Marsha, Kathy, Didi, et all...I got 2 new pairs of Kinos in Key West. I heart Key West. I want to live there!!!!

Now Julie, I know that you cannot being wearing those sandals in Kansas right now, it is way too cold. You just box those puppies up and ship them down here to me, and I'll be glad to break them in for you! I promise I'll send them back to you in May!!! Seriously, I wish I would have known that you were going back, I really wish I would have bought several more pair. My Mother still hasn't forgiven me for not getting her a pair! "MOM MODE" ,Yeah, we always pay for leaving town don't we! Thanks for the offer on the sandals, but Mom wears at least an 8 or 9. I'm not even sure what size I ended up with. Have fun catching up at home.

We just survived a 2 hour Cowboy Birthday Party. Bailey turned 6 this week and had all (yes, ALL - boys AND girls) of her kindergarten class over for a party. 20 Kindergarteners + 2 hours + my basement = for me right now!!! Those 5 and 6 year old boys can be wild, wild, wild!

Labor day weekend going Saturday to Wednesday - Daughter is missing 1st day of school but I figure what do they do that day any way.

Hope all is well with you guys, Me and Lora are working on our Scapebooks, and she Just loves the Pictures of her and "her friends". It would be nice to get down there. But this year doesn't look good.

Thayer has a new job in the union, great benefits and pay is better but this first year is tough with only one week of vacation and I am taking some of that for our trip. I wish he had at least two weeks so we could take a week in Disney, but I will make do with my mini vacation.

How are you doing on planning your vacation? How are the kids? Hubby doing good?

I am SO bad...I have yet to print out the pictures of our cruise from my memory card. Marsha - I have pictures of your family and of PartyElf's that I really need to send to you. Problem is that my old computer can't handle it and by the time Brian comes home with his work computer, I'm usually too tired to get back online. One of these days...I promise!

Congratulations to Thayer on his new job! I hope he enjoys it. We are all doing fine, with the exception that we had to put our 15 yr. old kitty down on Friday. Kids now seem fine with it...but mom's still a little weepy every now and then. Pets sure do have a way of becoming a member of your family, don't they?

Last day of January. Sure am ready for a real Spring to come!

Just a quick Hi, during my lunch break to everyone. Life sure has been very interesting during these last months. Dealing with Estate issues are really swell. Hopefully everything should come to an end during April. That's when we will go on a much long deserved vacation.
