Re: web photo gallery of the trip ~

To all who are planning to send photos for a web gallery of the trip I have a problem. Joyce pointed out to me that we may need to be cautious to get the permission of anyone who is in, or whose child is in, the photos.

I think Joyce makes sense. In one of the pictures she sent we also have Larry's daughter. Larry hasn't been in touch since the trip to be able to grant or deny permission for a photo of his child to be shown on our group site. There is nothing at all sinister about the pictures, but this is a matter of respect and of law. Yikes! Now what? Any ideas out there?

since I see that you're a .mac user, in addition to us sending permission to post our pictures and include a disclaimer that we understand the images are going to be shared within our group, couldn't we also just password protect the site so that the images will only be accessible to our group? Just a thought.

well back to work, will check back more frequently and will at least email the few pics i've got.

Life is getting back to normal, and other than having to waddle through the loads of laundry, and looking through photos, the whole trip seems like a dream. (we did go, did'nt we?)

Good morning!

Hope everyone's gotten out from under piles of laundry or backed-up work that resulted from our little weeklong getaway.

I realized this morning that while our DS Mac may look like me, there's no way Season could deny him either. On our way to day care this morning he starts asking for his WDW music CD... at the beginning of "Grim Grinning Ghosts" he looks at me and says, "I wan' ride it again! I wan' ride it again!"

He's become as big a Disney freak as his mother... not that there's anything wrong with that...

Good morning! Just checking in. The board is slowing way down, I guess everyone is off posting on there newly booked cruise boards!

I think the password idea is fine, I give my permission for any photo's of my family to be published. I know that Prima and Julie both had some cute pics of our kids together.

Well, today is the makeup pirate treasure hunt, that we missed because of rain a couple of weeks ago. Got go bury the treasure first! I hope everyone is finally feeling better and getting over the cruise crude. Check in later.

Hi everyone.

Not only are we still working on unpacking and laundry but dealing with several inches of water in our basement. We had 10 inches of rain on Saturday and we were at the Jersey Shore so we couldn't keep up with the Wet Vac'cing. Calling for rain for most of the week. Very dark, raw and dreary. I want to be back on Castaway Cay with a Konk Kooler!!!

Marsha - Congrats on the new Little Guy in your family. Bet Lora will just love him to pieces! I got your PM about Lora and Meredith and promise to write back soon.

Becky and Christine - Hi there TableMates.

Spencer is working on a US Geography section and it made it a lot of fun to look at the map and point out states and tell him...now, this is where Miss Becky lives and this is where Little Lora lives and this is where Little Jack lives, etc. etc. And who says a Disney Cruise can't be educational???

Good morning, everyone! Good to see people posting again! I actually haven't been posting on the board much for our next cruise...it's just not the same...WAHHHHH!!!! I miss you all!

I love the password idea as well regarding the website. I give permission for Bailey and Jack's pictures to be on there. Now I guess I need to get the c.d. of the pics sent!

Jamie - Yuck about the water in the basement. Our basement flooded after a couple days of heavy rain and the clean up was incredible. Ripped out carpeting, need to replace drywall, etc. I hope yours isn't as bad.

Erin - Have a fun treasure hunt!

By the way, I am well again! It's nice to not be dizzy and bumping into walls! Now I have no excuses!!

Hi All,

I think we should gather everyones e-mail address and start circulating e-mails.

We (read David) would gather everyones e-mail address. I would then send out an e-mail and 'tag' somebody on the list. It would then be that persons job to respond to the group and 'tag' somebody else. Also, if somebody doesn't respond, in 72 hours???, then anybody can pick up the baton and get the messages rolling again. Just remember that every e-mail should go to everybody on the list.

What do you guys think?

Prima ~ (Did I spell your name correctly?) I think you are right.
Using password protection should satisfy the issues at hand.
In fact, that may be the idea that rescues the site for us all.


I will keep looking to the mailbox, the email, and the Barney's Brood thread to see if there are incoming photos.

I've been catching a breather for a couple of days. The family was in from all over to make it to the funeral and pick up the pieces. Today was one of the first "normal" days in a while.

I'm really having DCL withdrawals. I REALLY want to book another but the high cost is killing me!!!!!! Its soo sad to not know if or when we might be able to cruise again Once you add up ALL expences for the trip 4k+ for 7days is ALOT!!!!! And we didn't even have to purchase air fair or hotel rooms!!!!!!

Yikes, Kim, you're scaring me here! Don't you know the rule?! NEVER......AND I DO MEAN NEVER............Add up the cost in one lump sum. It is too scary to view! I am going to avoid that lump sum. And besides, if I add it up altogether, my DH might figure out the true cost of the vacation. Now I can't have that! Or he might just make me cancel the next trip!

It would probably pay for a year of college for Meredith if properly invested for the next 13 years!

Rumor is 2007 rates are coming out next Wednesday. Just book...if you find it's a stretch, you can always cancel in the "no-penalty" window. With that Disney Visa, you can at least put the deposit down and not pay any interest on it for 6 months. That really helps lessen the blow.

I hope to have an initial e-mail out this weekend.

I got the water camera developed and I'm disapointed. No 'Great' stingray shots. Also, the water was a bit too cloudy at Castaway Cay. Oh well, this just gives me a good reason to go back!!
