Can someone explain how disembarkation works? If the itinerary says 9:30 for disembarkation, is it a mass exodus? Will there be a shuttle to LAX? When should I book my flight back home for that day? Where can I find info about this!? Thanks!

Another one with a 3yr old here! She is the youngest of four and is doing an extra year at kinder with 4-5yr olds, so isn't exactly the shy and quiet type My other kids are ds7, ds11 & dd14, hmm actually none of my kids are the shy quiet type....apologies in advance

If you've booked through a travel agent do the documents get sent to them or to you? Hopefully we'll get them sometime in the next 5 weeks before we leave!

I got my documents in the mail today, too!!

I have laminated door designs, but usually just use my Mickey Ears to put around the round door number

I just bought a roll of magnetic tape and stuck them on the back of the ears.

Thanks everyone for the Mexican food tips (JSG - sounds like that meet & eat could be a plan). DH is getting excited about eating 'real Mexican' instead of 'NZ Mexican', if that makes any sense.

Ha! My sister and her family emigrated to Napier from San Diego, and she says the same thing! She loves it there, but misses good Mexican food.

I've also been working on door magnets and other fe printables. I found a thread where people volunteer to make magnet art . I went to Milliesky's photo bucket and found a lot of great images to personalize.
If you aren't good with photoshop, it seems that Milliesky or another dis member can help you

I know they can get kind of backed up on that thread so if you find blanks that you like (and don't know how to personalize them), you can send them to me and I can do it for you. I have already done some for a couple of members of our group

PS....got our documents today!!!! I love seeing that envelope that says "Special Cruise Documents Enclosed"

It does look funny to have luggage tags that say "WONDER...SR#________" I can't wait to find out the room.

lol i say go for it! I was tempted to get a new sewing machine, then reality hit...

I did buy a new sewing machine! And I love it. I'd buy a heap of craft gadgets in the USA but your power supply is a different voltage from ours and I'd probably blow the side of the house off or something if they aren't switchable. I really wanted to sink some money on some of the fancy quilting machines.... We have the oddest shopping list for a family of tourists coming to America - compression gear for running, quilting fabric, trail and pavement sneakers and a C2 erg if I can convince DH to go for it to upgrade my old C2.

I was supposed to be finishing the FE stuff this weekend but I'm fighting the flu virus. I've been innoculated this year and my body is really fighting it hard. My doc sent me for bloods to check what's going on and she said to be thankful for getting the jab at the start of autumn as it could be a lot worse. DH is starting to look dodgy now and the kids are sniffing. Better now that in three weeks I guess.

sandracox67 - I hear your sister! I have the same with Turkish food, I really miss real Turkish food having lived there. If she loves Indian but finds the stuff she's getting here 'cloudy or murky' flavoured she could be striking Fijian Indian chefs, not Indian Indian chefs. That used to drive DH mad when he first got here until we worked it out. Napier is awesome btw, one of the few places I'd live in NZ as it's so lovely.

Now you've got to bag, tag and release and you're done. I've got DH printing stuff for me for mine today, there is no table space to do sewing as the kids are colouring in pics of planes. I bought even more stuff to stick in my FE bags yesterday, I've now got it all piled in a corner of the bedroom on top of a chest so DH can't see how bad it really is.

This time in three weeks we are in LA. I might actually start packing some stuff today. Do I pack the kids long trousers and t-shirts as well as shorts and t-shirts for daywear at the parks? I know San Fran is a lot like Welly, so I've got that covered but I don't know what San Diego and LA are like in September.

GromMom - mmm long arm quilters. However big they are you look at the USD price and double it and add a half more for NZD - the importers charge like you've never seem. And I keep telling DH that they might look big in a box but a C2 erg/rowing machine comes in two giant boxes and that will take up even more space. I dunno if he's buying any of it a the moment as he keeps just staring at my FE pile.
