Sept. 2009 @ WDW! Be a Pop Tart 2009~come share your(Bounce Back or NOT)Dates !!!

Ang, I fear it must be the bad influences around here that made me even think of a lighter at the concert I plan on sticking around and seeing what else I might pick up though.:rotfl: Will has an interesting style of thinking in flaming the paper airplane. A tad bit faulty but interesting. I sort of like it. Listening to kids talk and what they think about is a hobby of mine. I hope you guys get to see the fireworks. If anyone can I know you will. :cool1:

M&N, any news about Jackie and your Mother's Day trip? Maybe you are busy packing. I hope, I hope.

Timmie, watching TV shows on the PC are not conducive to sleep unless you have a comfy chair or bed nearby. I am hoping to get my new modem installed today so that I can go back to watching on my TV. I am sooo spoiled!:woohoo:

JM, what a magical way to spend Mother's Day and I agree with your thoughts about spending time with your family. I daydream about being able to just bop over to DW for the day. I would prefer to work there though. Have you ever thought of doing so?:wizard: Hooray for Jacob passing his test. Must have gotten his writing skills from his mom.

I remember the flu shot shortage and have read that that is the reason for them wanting more folks to get the shot so that the companies will have the incentive to produce more for the day when they are really necessary. I take the shot regularly now for several reasons. Will have to think about taking the other flu shots though as I have no immune system anymore. BTW, my heart doctor visit went well. While I still have episodes of a fib I am no longer in persistant or constant a fib so that is a very, very good thing. Hopefully that means that I might be able to get off the coumadin at some point.

Setting up the new modem, mowing the grass and sorting out some of the grandkids old toys today. One huge box of Legos is already packed and ready to go to the basement. I sorted through old medicines last night and have a huge bag to take to Volunteers in Medicine. Slowly but surely I am making a serious dent in the mess around here. Have an extra week until ds arrives as they have found that they can stay for nearly a week if they come then. Works for me!

720 people have been laid off at a local plant. My dd works in HR there. Is the same company my dh retired from. Heartbreaking.

Good Morning!

SG, Jackie is doing well we are amazed - it's as though she has a new lease on life, she's so happy! Thanks for thinking of her.:)

Want to write more, but Sophia is calling my name..nap time and she still goes to sleep being rocked - which of course, her Nana very much enjoys. :cloud9:

Have a great TGIF, my friends!! :thumbsup2

SG, I am a horrible writer, but I must say I did help Jacob. At a parent meeting they showed a sample of what they expect and it included a lot of detail. So, on the way to school the morning of the test I explained this to Jacob and used my own example of say, going to WDW. How we take the monorail to MK. First ride was POTC .....

We lucked out, Jacob question was to tell about a family vacation so he of course told about a vacation at WDW.:cool1: His IEP has that he dictates it instead of physically writing it also, so that helped. The other question for the same test was "Why do we have rules?" So glad Jacob got the vacation one.

Glad to hear that your health is improving and that your DS will get to stay so long.

hello  at work now... managed to sleep from 6AM to around 11AM had to unplug the phone and turn cell phone off just in case the bill collector calls... Svetlana is causing right now... which means if she stay along on course... I will not be able to do TL in June... She came last May 6th... but I will keep you posted Mel:lmao::lmao::lmao: she is the meanest, rude and selfish Svetlana I have ever known!!!:headache:

Timmy,
I told you her name is Auntie Flo not Sveltana and she is not from Sweden she is from the Nether regions. lol Hope you have a better time tonight at work.

SG,
Now don't blame corruption of morals on us. We know you were corrupt long before you met us. lol

How awsome your son will be on a long visit.

Glad to hear your ticker is working well. Wish they could totally fix it though.

Christine,
So glad to hear Jackie is doing better.

How sweet that your grand daughter wants you to rock her to sleep. Grandmothers are for spoiling their grandchildren.

Melissa,
Yeah, for Jacob!!!!! William has a scribe for tests also. It is sad to see how he destroys those scantron tests. He struggles to write in the circle and it won't grade right if he fills them in. His handwriting is not much better. Thank God for computers.

Ang!!! Ms. Linda... you can take me of the No Pin Club !!!

I got 2 email today with an interval of 1 hour apart wooohoooo....

one was a free dining 8/16 - 10/3 which is basically the same as our bounce back... and another one was something about book and experience the disny dining way etc.. did not check the dates most likely the same with room rates of 109 for moderates...

I belong.. I belong ohhhhh yeaaaah I belong....

Dear Ang, I fear that I am more corrupted now than I have ever been in my life. Being a 'good girl' is what has gotten me in the condition I am in. I regret it and wish I had raised more heck in my lifetime. Maybe it is not too late to start now?:rotfl:

Timmie, I loved my hysterectomy and not having to suffer the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune, otherwise known as the curse. Only problem now is that I have nothing to blame my bad temper on. Do you know what PMS stands for??? (Putting up with Men's "Stuff") I hope you are feeling better now. Have you seen that new product that reduces your visitor to a mere 4 times a year or so? Congrats on joining the PIN club! I wish I could get the one for Free Dining in December and am thinking of calling and seeing if they might give it to me any old way.

M&N, I am so glad to hear that your Jackie is doing well. Does that mean that you guys are going on your Mother's Day trip as planned? I do so hope you do. :woohoo: I miss having a wee one to rock to sleep. Enjoy. BTW, what songs do you sing to her? I sang "Chantilly Lace" to one and "Barbara Ann" to the other. Sometimes the Hallelujah Chorus, as I know all the words to it. :woohoo:

JM, hooray for a good question for Jacob. I bet his was a great paper. Wish I could read it. My grandson gets extra help with tests as well. I was one of those irratating people who loved tests, and still do. You should have seen my eyes light up when they announced they were going to have a trivia contest the other night. Sick, I am sick.

It is my dear sister and bil who are coming. Not my son. I have not seen him in many years. Sad story, heartbreaking. My ds and dbil do not have much money and it has taken me a long time to convince them that they will not be putting me out by visiting. I had to send a picture of the upstairs bedroom, complete with king bed, because they did not want to take our bed. We will have a great time. We talk often on the phone but it is not the same thing. I think she is hiding out from her many grandchildren for a bit. :dance3: We plan to visit the new casino up the road and go to a horserace. It is on my bucket list.

Well congrats to you but I am resigned to be on the no code list forever. :sad2:

SG

checked with doctor about those 4 times a year program for Svetlana but the problem is that sice I only did a c-section (myomectomy) for Jonh and Jane Doe ( I had twins... a 7 and an 8 lbs!!! :faint: ) that any type of session may it be oral, path and injection increases the risk of getting the twins back...

goodluck with t he December code... :thumbsup2

Well congrats to you but I am resigned to be on the no code list forever. :sad2:

lets see that this will not be the last...

Timmie, I am a very good reader but I had to read that post a few times over. I think I understand that you had some sort of 'female' problem and are at risk of getting cancer or some sort? I think that the medicine that keeps you from having a monthly visitor is a bit suspect. Sort of like messing with an automobile. They are made a certain way for a reason and when you start tweaking things go awry.

I guess the only solution is for you to keep on getting older until you 'age out'. :rotfl:

Going to go watch Suze Orman. Why, I do not know. I have done all that she said to do (I like her advice) long before I ever heard of the lady. Wish she would tell me what to do with ever shrinking income and ever increasing bills though. :worship:

My yard looks lovely. I have had two people ask me to be on the garden tour. Flattering but not interested.

Happy Mother's Day!!

This is quick drive by hello as we are trying to get out the door for our Mother's Day Charleston trip!! :yay:

As life goes, Jackie had to go back to the Vet yesterday - she's been chewing on some of the suture sites..anyway, she's now on a sedative (maybe I should take it too? ;)) It makes her more groggy than we like , but it's supposedly very safe for seniors (see, I told you i should take some too!).

Anyway, soon as the car is packed, I have showered and the pups have been fed, we're off!!

Timmie - feel better!!!

SG, yep, poor Sophia, I do sing, but not what I sang to my babies - for Sophia it is Over the Rainbow, Rainbow Connection and one from the movie Waitress, but do not know the title, but I just love it and she seems to as well as she goes to sleep every time.... it goes:

"Baby dontcha cry, gonna make a pie, gonna make a pie with a heart in the middle.
Baby don't be blue, gonna make for you, gonna make a pie with a heart in the middle.
Gonna be pie from heaven above, gonna be filled with strawberry love.
Baby dontcha cry, gonna make a pie,
Hold you forever in the middle of my heart."

So the grammar is not great, but it rhymes better that way! :thumbsup2

Have a day filed with unexpected surprises and blessings, my friends!

See ya Wednesday night!

M&N, I am so pleased that you are getting to go on your Mother's Day trip. I know you will enjoy it so much. It is such a pretty and historic city. I treasure my memories of when we went.

Cadence and intentions are all that matters when singing to a baby. I let mine let me know what they wanted. They will let you know if you pay enough attention. Babies train us not the other way around.

My oldest grandson did something very sweet for me last night. Will not go into the details cause there is another side to it all that I do not want to think about, today of all days. Touched my heart. Sweet boy.

I hope everyone has a wonderful Mother's Day and PLEASE call your moms, if you are lucky enough to have one. Even if they are less than perfect it will make you feel good and most likely make their day.

SG

HAVE A WONDERFUL DAY, ENJOY TO THE UPMOST BECAUSE YOU NEVER KNOW WHEN SOMEONE WON'T BE THERE.:cheer2::grouphug::grouphug::grouphug::grouphug:

Looks like everyone rally enjoyed their Mother's Day and avoided the Dis. I hope everyone had a nice one. What did everyone do? We went to Biergarten on Saturday for lunch and then over to MK. We got to ride in the front of the Monorail from Epcot to MK. DH's first time doing this and I'm excited because the other time we did I lost all the pics because of that computer crash. Will be uploading to Smugmug this morning. We went and saw Star Trek and Wolverine yesterday. With a movie coming out every weekend we want to see, figured we needed to catch up. For those of you wondering, yes, go see Star Trek. I am not a Trekkie at all, but that was a great movie!

Glad to see you are still around Lisa. :goodvibes

Hope everyone has a great day!
Melissa

Lisa,
Great job loosing the weight. Wish I could be in the loosers club too. I am happy to hear that someone is if I can't be.

Melissa,
Sounds like you had a great weekend and Mother's Day. How sweet that you went to see a movie the boys could enjoy too.

I hope everyone else had a great Mother's Day. Sounds like M&N is going to enjoy her trip.

Had a good Mother's Day here. It would have been better if DH could have been here too. DS made me a card which he knows is what I love most and the only thing I want besides a day where he doesn't argue with me at all (teens). Then he actually surprised me and spent his own money to buy me a pair of gold Tinkerbell earings. He can be so sweet. Oh he also made me coffee which I appreciated.

I wish we were near Disney World because I know that is where I would have been if I could have been.

Hope everyone has a wonderful Monday!!!!

Ang
