Sept. 2009 @ WDW! Be a Pop Tart 2009~come share your(Bounce Back or NOT)Dates !!!

:happytv: been watching Fringe since midnight... I have to be at work in the morning... :faint:

15 more minutes of :happytv: then going to try to catch some zzz's

Timmie, did Miss Vix sneak over to your house while you were sleeping and stick a funnel in your mouth and insert the food? Must be so if it is her fault. :rotfl: I find that I do not care for fast food much anymore. Once or twice a year I get a craving for Taco Bell but have come up with my own versions that are much better.

Ang, I never even lit a match until I left home. Had never used a paring knife either. Fire still scares me. No pyro here, other problems, but not that.

Diva K, glad to hear that the schools are open again. I think kids can get in a whole lot worse problems out of school than in. Now we get to fret over whether we are going to take the flu shot or not. I am old enough to remember the last round. :scared1: Since I was one of the last ones to get polio because my dad was afraid of the shot it is perplexing for me.

Dom Deluise was one of those folks who was just as wonderful in real life as on screen. He has children in show business, one is on the Disney channel. They seemed like such a loving close knit family. He will be missed.

Tom is home and complaining about having to be back in the real world. His real is far different from mine, maybe he will trade places?:confused3

Kris: :thumbsup2 on going back to school!

Oprah has a coupon for a free grilled chicken dinner 2 pc chicken 2 sides and bicuit. If you want one you can print it at www.oprah.com/kfc Just thought I would share it if you want it.

You only have until sometime today to print the coupon, then use it by 5/19. Dh has tried the grilled chicken, and says it's not bad. Zero carbs, too. Now the sides? That's another issues. . . .

:happytv: been watching Fringe since midnight... I have to be at work in the morning... :faint:

LOVE Fringe! A bit like X-files, except I understand what's happening a little better.

SG: I'll be first in line for my flu shot next fall--with my family in tow. It's terrible that so many parents risk their children's health because of fear and ignorance. We should all be so lucky as to trade our realities for Tom's and have you take care of us!

Ang, that would be great if you could get in, but I have a feeling it will fill up. I don't think we will actually get to see them set them up, just hear how they do it and how many are used. I goofed and missed the signup when they gave tours of the Castle, so now I try to check weekly, if not daily.

I was a pyro when I was little. Burned the carpet in front of the fireplace and caught the garage on fire. I shouldn't have been surprised when we found Jacob catching pieces of paper in his bathtub. Somehow he knew it was safer in the tub.:scared1: Hasn't done anything for several years at least now.

Ok guys, I am one of those idiots that doesn't get flu shots. Of course, after this past year I might start doing so.

TB, you are so sweet. I sort of like taking care of people but I like taking care of friends and strangers the most cause they sometimes say "Thank you". :rotfl2:

The hardest thing for me is when I need help now. It is disconcerting. I don't like it. Embarrassing.

BTW, bil made a big mistake yesterday and told me that I could take another two weeks off in August. Wonder if he might change it to October? I can't do the heat. Not sure I will have any money by then though. News is that SS will not be doing and COL increases next year. It is just one thing after another and so much harder on many others than ourselves though.

My dd called me last night on her way home from work and told me that she was going to the mother/daughter banquet at her church. She had not planned on going but when her son informed her that he would be serving at the banquet, like a good mom, she decided she should show up. She mentioned that she had no one to sit with her so I drug myself out of the house and over there. One year she asked me to babysit for her oldest while she took someone else so that banquet is a sort of sore spot with me. BTW, I won two points for our team because I am a teacher and can pluck a chicken.

JM, does it mean that you are past due for another pyrotechnic feat? I did not use to get flu shots either until I acquired COPD. I sort of feel like there is a lot of hoop la about them to keep demand up so that when they are really necessary the companies will have it on hand but then what do I know? I am not a doctor and have never even played one, anywhere. :rotfl:

Several of my readers were at the church last night and we were all tickled to see each other outside of the CC. I was forced to hug them all. I hugged one and the rest objected. Tough job I have. :woohoo: Headed over with new books in a bit.

I'm so sorry to hear about your dsil. As you know, we're going through the same thing, as my dh was just laid off. Hopefully he'll find something else within the company but if not, 44 weeks of severance is pretty good, especially in this economy. Hang in there--you all are in good company! Poor Jackie, I hope she does okay with all those stitches. I know how hard it is for them not to pick at them.

TB, I am so sorry you are going through this as well. I was thinking of you he other day - any job possibilities at all on the horizon for dh?

Closet pyro too funny. I think everyone was or is one. lol

Nope, not me. I was the perfect child. :rolleyes1

One can always hope...at least for a day or so. :thumbsup2

Glad the flu seems to easing up a bit. Hopefully, it will not show up with a vengeance in the Fall. Cannot do flu shots, so do a lot of hand-washing....and ducking when someone sneezes. :rotfl:

Anyone watching AI this year? It's down to the final 3 weeks and it's just not as good as last year. Of course, I LOVED David Cook..but no one this makes me want to watch or vote. I watch anyway...nice and comfy from my bed. :)

Hope everyone has a great Wednesday! :hippie:

p.s. SG, we must have been posting at the same time...2 weeks at WDW in early Oct is just as hot and humid as August - sometimes worse! Our late Oct visits have been fabulous weather wise. Sure hope it works out for you!

Jen was that the season finale??? where they shot Nina and picked up Walter???? I hope not I want another episode:sad2:

Opppss I found my own answer hahahahah season finale is on May 12 !!! I am calling in sick... hahahahaha

Fringe? Never heard of it. Odd since I read so darned much that I know about things I have never seen. I have given up on Lost so I probably would not find the time for Fringe either, from the sound of things. My life is Science Fiction so I tend to read non fiction. :rotfl:

M&N, any more news about your dsil? I am sure it is very disconcerting around your house right now. It is hard to see that this might turn out to be the best thing ever, for you all. I have been to DW most every month you care to mention, except January. I just cannot handle the heat anymore and vacations are not great when you are not comfortable. I am just daydreaming about getting away on my own. It would take a miracle. I need to invest in hearing aids rather than another vacation. :upsidedow

I have not been following AI either. Only have so many extra hours in a day and I video what I want to watch so that I can fast forward and save even more time.

I am guessing that you do most of your computing in the evenings and so do I.

Heart doctor appt today to find out if the cardioversion is holding. My best bet is that it has not. Might have to learn to deal with it. Have done far harder things.

R&R concert at an area HS and I am thinking I might sneak out and go. All the oldies from my youth. Do I bring my own lighter?:woohoo:

MS,
I will do some wishful thinking and if it's full it's full. I just won't mention it to Will.

I had 4 brothers and 2 of htem were a year and two years younger than me and I remember them being bigger pyros than me but I did love watching leaves burn and starting them on fire myself.

As for William if he lights another fire he will be grounded for life. A few years ago he decided he wanted to see if paper airplanes would fly faster if he set the back where the engines are on real planes on fire. He did that in his room and burned the carpet. :scared1:

I got the flu shot only when I worked in the hospital and the school I worked at and have not gotten it since. I always heard they are for those with low immune systems or in a school or hospital setting where people are sick often. I remember one year they were asking people who were healthy not to get them because they didn't have enough for people who really needed them.

Ang

now that Fringe is about to end... I guess I have to move back to see what is going on with Betty... I have not seen not one episode of this season's Ugly Betty.... "wohooo I want a new Bestie"
:goodvibes

:rotfl2:I know I shouldn't laugh about your carpet, but the things kids do.

I think it is a good idea not to mention to Will about the fireworks, but we might see ya at MK.

I worked in a doctors office when that flu shot shortage occurred. It was an internal medicine clinic and also occupational health facility performing employment physicals. Our office would go to the company's to administer the flu shots and the office admin and the doctor got into a loud disagreement on whether his patients should get the shots or the company employees. I was stuck in the back of the office with them. :scared1:

Ok, I really need to shampoo carpets, just wanted to check in with everyone.

SG, sneak out and enjoy the concert!

Here you go Timmy:

https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/wdw/passholder/passholdersGate?id=PassholdersGatePage

I also just got an email for Passholders, my first , about a special SWW contest to win a free SW collectible.

Urghhh! I had to sign each of us up for the fireworks, so now the website doesn't recognize me, so I have to go get my AP to put the number back in. I wish they would set up the website to remember all family members.

Hope everyone is having a good day. Got my bedroom and the family room rug shampooed. Now just need to clean all of the tile floors. Think I will save that for tomorrow. Almost time to get Jacob from school and then we will have the dreaded homework. Hey, did I tell you he passed the FCAT writing. :yay::woohoo:

I thought I might be the first posting today, but I should have know Timmy would have already been here. How much sleep do you get?

DH is having to work 12 hour shifts for a couple of days, today being the last for this week, so he had to get up at 4:30 and of course I can't get back to sleep, so thought I would do my computer stuff now. Did the same thing yesterday, but I stayed in bed. At least I am being somewhat productive.

Did we run our newbies off? Haven't seen them in awhile. Actually, wasn't Lisa in TN, I know parts of it flooded really bad last week.

What are everyone's plans for Mother's day? We have lunch reservations for Biergarten tomorrow and then DH said he would like to go to MK. I let him choose since he hasn't been to the parks in a couple of months. He kept saying it was my day, but I'm just happy to spend it with my boys. Plus, I have a designated driver so I can really enjoy Epcot.:woohoo:

M&N, how is Jackie? Did you cancel your trip?

Hope everyone has a fantastic Friday!
