Ang, that is just plain wrong. The banks made the bad loans in the first place and they are wanting to be given a handout so that they do not lose any money while folks who did what they should are being penalized? My brother, who is on disability, and has the worst credit you have ever heard of just got a car loan. 25% interest. Guess they would rather take the risk and MAYBE get that than to lend to responsible folks who WILL pay the money back. The kicker is that they cannot come after my brother's money cause it is protected like O.J's was. I figure that there will not be enough of a car left to repossess either. I am sorry. Maybe try some other lenders? There is a whole lot of cash sitting out there somewhere and folks who would like to earn more than the measely 2.5% that is being given out.

Believe me you, the video games were very inexpensive. I was just afraid that Will would not have an interest in anything 'new'.

The food court at PORFQ is quite good and has a wide variety of foods. The atmosphere is wonderful and there are carriage rides, a boat ride over to DTD. and a piano player in the lobby in the evenings. The pool is fabulous. We used to stay there when we had our kids at home.

We gave up on a diagnosis of either fibromyalgia or lupus long ago since the treatment is the same. Lupus is easier to spell. It is a general muscular ache, deep ache. Hurts to think about moving sometimes.

Would you folks stop making it impossible for me to NOT think about joining you all down there? I should not, I really should not.

Please tell Will that I do not eat bait/sushi either. :lmao:

SG
I have always wanted to stay at POR/FQ. My DH say since we live in New Orleans he doesn't want to stay in a resort themed like New Orleans...lol.

 I have a Vit D deficiency that they thought was lupas or fibro. I am still in pain but it is not as bad with the extra vit D I now have to take.

Do you have any suggestions of places to eat? Cheryl and Timmy how about you any restaurant suggestions from you? In a park, out of a park. Heck, I would be happy with Earl of Sandwich or Wolfgang Puck's at DTD lol.

Ang

well you know what I am going to say if it lunch we are talking about.. I would go for the cheap one... hahahaha trail's end buffet but they are fired so you dont want fried... I printed the menu for lunch to the places I told you where we can get discount... so we can contemplate the night before where we are going to eat... ESPN Club have the buffalo thingies.. I think I am going there :goodvibes:cloud9:

Please tell Will that I do not eat bait/sushi either. :lmao:

SG

You did not just call it bait ?!?! :snooty:

Mrs K, I had read about the vitamin D thing awhile back and had plumb forgot it. Since they did not find that I had the pressure points I do not think it is fibromyalgia but I did have the red butterfly rash etc. I was so sick last year that I never got around to trying the D thing. Thank you for the reminder. I would feel silly if that works but if I am pain free I can deal with silly. I am soooo experienced at it already. Might I ask what your symptoms were and if it fixed all of them?

Timmie, I did call it bait. What cha going to do about it?:dance3: I grew up eating rabbits and squirrels but I have to draw the line somewhere.

Finishing up some carpet cleaning and then a nice hot bath to relax on my last evening of freedom. I pick Tom up tomorrow. Don't figure it will take him long to undo what I have accomplished but for tonight all is well. Nothing leaks. I hope.

SG

My symptoms were almost exactly for Fibro...which is what they thought I had, but tested negative for. Aches and pains, sore muscles, joint pain but no arthritis, chronic fatigue, and bad mood swings. The bad part for me is that most of my symptoms overlapped with my thyroid disorder, so it was hard to peg what was really wrong with me.

I was supposed to take 12 doses of 10000 ui's of Vit (once a week for 12 weeks). When I remember to take it I feel much better and my pain does go away...unfortunately I am VERY forgetful when it comes to taking medicine

Plumbing work all done and while not cheap it was not overly awful either. It is just that I have done most of the smaller repairs, and some not so much so, for so many years that my dh is used to not having to pay anyone to do much. For what he charged for labor it was well worth me not having to spend the entire day doing it, I am not that skilled in some things, and how sick I would have been afterward. I do not bend well, especially right now. I found out that he also remodels bathrooms. He shot me a figure that is almost affordable, not this year though. The promise of 'cash' even brought promise of a further discount. Now to find out how much the new roof is going to cost. Always something!

Lisa, ALL Pop Tarts are special, in their own unique way.:lovestruc Might I inquire as to what you tape? I never watch anything in real time and if my Roku box could stream from the internet network shows I could easily drop my cable. If you could get your son to contain his mess to HIS room you could just close the door and pretend that it is not there. When he gets a bit older, and has things in his room that he does not want you to see, he might well take care of it himself to keep you away, far away.:rotfl:

SG

You have to replace your roof also. Sorry to hear that.

Even though you said Lisa, I am thinking you meant me, since I'm the one with the messy kid. I try to get him to keep it to his room, or at least clean up if he does bring stuff out. He gets to looking for something and starts emptying tubs out. Right now the living room is covered in Transformers. He had a large tub of nothing but Transformer parts, so I thought we would try to get them all together again. Also watching Harry Potter, the first one.

I record just about everything. Recording a lot now that the DH isn't able to watch in DC so we will have a lot to watch when he gets home: Chelsey Lately, The Soup, and Top Gear. Then, we record stuff that is on when other stuff is on, Hell's Kitchen, Last Restaurant Standing, NCIS, American Idol, Mentalist, and Criminal Behavior (which I don't know why I watch because with some of the stories on it I am scared to leave the house...and stay in my house.:scared1:)

I have always wanted to stay at POR/FQ. My DH say since we live in New Orleans he doesn't want to stay in a resort themed like New Orleans...lol.

POR is more like living in the country in a big mansion, so I think it would have a different feel.

Jacob is deciding if we go to Epcot tomorrow. I'm sick, I actually want to go see how crazy the parks are right now. If we go, it will be in the morning and then head home early afternoon.

I can't get excited about tomorrow being Friday. It is the end of Spring Break. More homework!

Ang, Wolfgang Pucks might be nice. Someplace where we could hear ourselves would be great and seriously don't worry about Jacob. We are use to picking him up something. I think every night we have stayed onsite, I have been at the food court getting chicken nuggets for the kiddo. I had made some chocolate pudding yesterday and he touched it with his tongue and turned his nose up at it.:sad2:

Wishing you all a blessed Easter. I am very grateful for all the laughs & friendship you have provided me.
Trying to avert a migraine, still have to do baskets:eek:
Miss you:cutie:

:car: Quick drive by! :car:

Been reading but no time to post. I swear the worst part of dh being unemployed isn't going to be the fact that we'll have no income, but the fact that I'll have a third "kid"--only this one will be around full time, and he'll hog the computer.  Linda, you know exactly what I'm talking about--enjoy your last night of freedom! :beach:

Ang, Bonz, JM, Timmy and the rest of the June "crew:" Though I won't be there in person (I don't think all our birthday gift cards put together could cover the bar tab we'd inevitably rack up!), I'll be with you in spirit. :grouphug: No, seriously, I'll probably end up having to go out to dinner with my MIL, and I would truly rather be with you all. 'Nuf said. :rolleyes1

HAPPY (almost) FRIDAY! (Kris, where are you with the flair?)

Its really quiet all over DIS tonight?

Yesterday was Holy Thursday and the beginning of Passover, today Good Friday...so perhaps the DIS is bit quiet due to the religious holiday.

I'll be quieting this computer for the Triduum, back Easter Monday.

Wishing you all a very Happy, Blessed and Peace filled Easter or Passover.

Yes sorry I was off since Tuesday, since I was cleaning for passover. Wed., went to a local temple and last night was second night here.

Cheryl, Happy Passover to you and yours. I saw where our holidays and yours were at the same time this year. :lovestruc

M&N, you are a better woman than I. I would sooner give up chocolate than my computer and that is saying something. I bet Sophia got a new outfit and is showing it off with style and aplomb. Just like her grandma.princess:

TB, my husband has no idea how to work a computer and we have two of them. He only learned to dial the phone a year or so ago. (not kidding). If he understood the level of power I hold over his existence it would be truly frightening to him. :scared1: He lives because I am fundamentally kind. Maybe if you ask your hubby to start helping with the housework he will find other things to do?:confused3

Bonz, I thought that I was the one who was a 'basket case". I miss those days. I once bought a big straw laundry basket and loaded it up, wrapped it in colored cellophane and all. Naturally it was for our first, and only - for six years) grandson. I bought gallons of bubbles and big containers of wands for the kids at the CC. I figure the bubbles will work their way over across the street, to my house, and possibly wash the front porch for me.l

JM, the roof is over 25 years old and I have a fully funded fund for that as well. $150 a month but I had enough in there a few years ago. This time is just adding a layer so it will not be as expensive. Trust me, you will miss these messy days some day, so enjoy. When something frustrates you, stop and think, will this matter next year, ten years, twenty years? Perspective. Happy kids are better than impressed guests. Just watch out for your toes.:dance3: I love Chesley Lately, she is my kind of gal. I love the crime shows because they teach me what to look out for. I would never run into a dark alley if I thought someone was chasing me, for instance.:rolleyes1

Mrs K, I see your husband's point about PORFQ but having been to both places there is little resemblance. :upsidedow Being a country bumpkin I have little interest in staying at Fort Wilderness or seeing Hoop de Doo. Vacation should be all about different. :hippie:

Lisa, we were all trying to sleep but the crickets done work us up.

Timmie, there is no way that you are big enough, nor scary enough, to get to me to eat bait. I had a salad for lunch and I picked the anchovies off and gave them to Mr. Tom, the family junkyard dog. He will eat anything if it is not good for him or he thinks it is expensive. :sad2:

I was not feeling too well when I met my bil and Tom for lunch so I came straight home. I think we will be having salmon for Easter. Oh well, ham will be cheaper next week anyway. ;)

SG/who is waiting for her vitamin D tablets to take affect.

Watching CSI last night I was screaming at the TV, why would you run off of a busy street into a junkyard or whatever it was, when someone is chasing you. Sometimes these shows scare me because I realize, the idea came from somewhere and usually from real life.:scared1:

I keep meaning to post on this, I feel the same way SG. I have never heard it called "bait", but sounds like a good description to me. I will be honest, I have never tried it, but as George Carlin use to say, "If I tried it, I woud like it even less!"

Sorry to hear you weren't feeling well. Hope you get to feeling better soon.

I know, pick my battles with my son. It's bad when the next door neighbor who is 7 comes over and tells my son, "Your room is messy!" I actually just get upset because I can't even get to his TV to turn it off. My bedroom is about that way, and it isn't my toes, it's the bottom of my feet! Man it hurts to step on some of those toys. But you are right, won't matter next year, probably not even tomorrow.

I got up and decided to put stuff away. My kitchen counters had stuff all over them. Not really dirty, just cluttered (guess I shouldn't complain about the kiddo), so rearranged the pantry a little and put all papers in the office to sort through. Now I need to go cook some dinner and will get the kitchen dirty again. Vicious cycle.

Cheryl, Turf Club sounds nice. I had to look it up and see what it was. I haven't been over there, so you will have to deal with a snap happy person taking photos.

Hope everyone had a great Friday!
Melissa

Have a good nap!!!:rotfl:

JM, we are much alike. I was screaming at the same scene myself and that is what brought that idea to mind. I also cannot stand it when they have a slasher movie and the female just stands there and lets herself be killed. I am going to at least take some DNA with me if I go. I am also a huge George Carlin fan, most of his stuff at least. I was raised very sheltered and was not allowed to listen to R&R. First paycheck I bought a transistor radio (dating myself) and the very first thing I ever heard was "7 Dirty Words". Being a word person myself I was enthralled. Yes, it is difficult to make your kids pick up after themselves when we are less than perfect ourselves but then we have many more rooms to keep clean. Your son clutters YOUR bedroom? One of the things I enjoyed about my kids moving out from home was the fact that I no longer had to make our bed first thing in the morning.

Lisa, I have 'issues' with crickets. When my husband and I got married he bought a house, out in the middle of nowhere, after I had been a city gal for awhile. The crickets kept me awake, however when I finally managed to get him to move to a town, the sirens and such were wonderful. He told me that I would smile when I heard them in my sleep. Guess I just like the 'bright lights'. :woohoo: Is your basement 'finished"? Is there much damage? I am so sorry. Is this a recurring problem where you live? I hope it was not too hard to clean up and that things improve the rest of the season.

Timmie, do you live close to work? I cannot imagine your hours even though I worked some rough ones way back when I was young. You do all this to support your 'habit"? Disney. :wizard:

I hope everyone is having a delightful weekend and that Easter Sunday/whatever holiday you celebrate, is bright, sunny and you are with family and friends.
