SG, those 7 Dirty Words. That was hilarious. One of my favorite bits by George was "Stuff". Why do we have a house, because we need a place for our stuff. Buy more stuff, need a bigger house. Go on vacation, take stuff with us. :rotfl: He said it a lot funnier.

So you watch all of those crime dramas also. Jacob always manages to walk in the room while I am watching CSI, just when they are performing an autopsy. He will throw his hands across his eyes and say, "You really got to stop watching this stuff."

Yes, he plays in my bedroom. Gets tired of his room and goes in there, or lays on my bed to watch TV. We only have a bean bag in his playroom. Want to get one of those nice futons that Target has, but don't have the funds right now and when I did have the funds, you couldn't find those futons in the store. Of course, if I hadn't spent that money at JoAnns.....

Many of you are on Facebook and probably saw my status last night, but if you didn't. We were attacked by a spider last night. Last year we had one the size of my hand in my bedroom, I had obviously walked right past it. So last night, same type of spider, but smaller. Jacob saw it first. I jump up and the spider heads for poor Mozart. The blind, deaf dog. Luckily he had his harness on, so I yank him up off the ground. He starts growling and snapping at me for waking him up. Got the bug spray and killed the spider. I had problems getting to sleep last night but eventually did. I told Jacob another reason his room needs to be clean because a messy room is a better place for one of those things to hide.

We need to go do something fun today, but Jacob won't tell me what he wants to do. I guess I need to just drag the kid out of the house.

Love the Flair Diva K, hope everyone has a wonderful Easter and those nasty storms stay away from you all!

SG,
My Aunt took me to go see George Carlin about 10 years ago. He is funny because I like someone who doesn't take life too seriously so they feel comfortable making fun of everything including themselves. Same with Chelsey Lately and you have to love Chewy.

We just replaced our roof a couple months ago and darn is it expensive but it looks beautiful with the architectural shingles.

Cheryl,
The Turf Club sounds good to me as I can usually find something I will eat and I saw buffalo chicken nuggets on the menu that they might be able to make without the sauce for Jacob. I forgot about your allergies and feel that is most important to accomodate. Is that chef as cute as the one at Chef Mickey's for Timmy? She talked about him the whole time we were at CM. lol

Ok, I just called for a reservation there and I had them hold a table for 8 at 5:10p. I counted Cheryl and DH, Melissa and DS, Timmy and ? (you never know she might find her prince charming this trip), and myself and DS. The only problem is they only had that time and only two seperate tables but she said to ask at the podium that they be together in the restaurant. How does that sound to everyone going? I am thinking they may only have tables of 4 and that might be why they show none were available together? So unless there are any protests or I am off on the head count we are set and I will PM the reservation info and number to each of you.

Lisa,
So good to hear you are ok. I heard about the tornado's on the news.

Melissa,
OMG a spider the size of your hand. My DH is more scared of bugs and stuff than me but that would freak me out. I had a hard time sleeping the night I found a tick crawling on my arm so I know I wouldn't sleep after a spider that big was in my house. That is probably the only bad thing about having the conservation land behind your house.

Now for a similar messy room rodent story. DS cleans his room his way on Saturdays and once a month my way. Well he has this habit that I have been trying to break him of since he was little and that is food in his room. I can take away his things for a week and he will still bring food in his room. He never finishes the food and sometimes it sits unopened in the wrapper in the corners of his room. His favorite is american cheese so you can see where this is going. Well we have mice that get in from time to time because of the fields around our house. Recently we had a mama mouse build a nest in the kitchen ceiling below DS room. I told him that is because they know they have food nearby in his room and it has to stop or they will end up cuddling up next to him in his bed for warmth. The darn mouse ate through the tile for nesting material and now there is a big hole in one of the tiles so the ceiling now needs to be replaced. It finally got through to him thank goodness when he saw that and it is directly above where his seat at the kitchen table. He finally believed me that it is because of the food in his room and is scared to death that it will fall through the hole into his dinner one night.

Normally we catch them with poison and sticky sheets in our pantry where all the food is stored and thankfully since he cleaned all the food out of his room last week after they made the hole the mice had no choice but to check our pantry for food and last night we caught the whole family on two sticky sheets. Too bad it took this kind of thing to get him to believe me about the food.

Forgot to say happy Easter, Passover, or whatever else you might be celebrating this weekend.

Yikes, Ang! I hate mieces to pieces! I have always had the same rule about food here and I keep my kitchen all locked down tight too. I think that is why Tom sits in the kitchen to watch TV, as that is the only room he can eat in and the refrigerator is right next to his table. :rotfl: If you feed 'em they will come. I am glad something got through to Will but am sorry it took so much effort on those rodents parts. Hope you have some extra ceiling tiles. Please take loads of pictures of your meetings? It sounds like a whole lot of fun. Hope they have Pirates up and running so you guys can have another go at it!pirate:

JM, I love the 'Stuff' one also. He had such an unique view on things and you would usually say, 'true, true'. Even when he was profane he was also intelligent and I love intelligent comedy. I would dearly love to have his collection of "All My Stuff". I have much of it. Want some cd's? I am copying my tapes to cd's. I get behind though so it might take some time. "Brain Droppings". Yeah! I love bugs! That sounds like some interesting spider you had there. I used to have a tarantula when I was younger. Why not do what YOU want to do and drag Jacob with you? Expand his horizons a bit!:woohoo:

Diva K, I have missed you gal! I was thinking of you the other day cause a younger friend of mine was wanting to go to DW with me one of these fine days and I thought it would be great to be there when you all are there as you and she would have a blast! Did the storms get you any? I hope not. :lovestruc

Timmie, I am glad you live near work but I hate that you have to work so very hard. Would it be cheaper and easier on you if your mom moved in with you? As a mom I have worked hard to try to make sure I would never be a burden on my children. I find you are more loved that way. :rotfl: I guess paying bills for an ex husband beats having to live with him. Have you gotten a civil judgment for his half so that you can collect if he should ever acquire anything? It took one of my sisters nearly 20 years to collect her back child support but she finally did. She had to put a lein on his house and when it finally was up for sale she got her money. It was enough to pay off her second husband's ex wife. :confused3

I filled many buckets with weeds, got the entire veggie garden all dug up and ready to plant and a few other things today. It is good.

Ang, thank you for making the reservation. I may bring the DH if that is ok, but we need to see if he will have to work. Along with being stuck in DC, he now realizes when he gets back he will either work Sunday-Tuesday or Thursday-Saturday or something like that. Worried this may effect the trip in July, and September.

Too funny about Will and the mouse. My mothers had them when I was growing up. She had a rechargable mixer that hung on the door to the pantry and the cord plugged within the pantry, as I reach in I see a mouse run along the cord into the pantry. I bet I jumped 10 feet.

I might have to try that my way and Jacob's way of cleaning his room. Like that idea.

We colored Easter eggs today, had a lot of fun. Haven't felt well this afternoon, think it is my allergies. Taking it easy so I will be better next week when school starts again.

I tried to suggest to my mom movign in with me... maybe in time right now.. she keep on saying dad may have moved on but it doesnt mean she cannot do stuff for herself still :faint: but if that happens yes it will be of great savings and peace of mind for me.

about the ex.. yes I guess that is a good way of thinking about it... kill yourself paying the bills.. or go to jail coz you cannot stand having the ex around

Thank you for thinking about me. Also not sure how hot it will be but we can always volunteer for outside. Also they may be saving spots for walkups. - the chef there really cares about feedback for the food which I really like.

Timmy,
Do you mind putting invisible prince charming on the back burner if Melissa's DH joins or do you want me to get a reservation for 9 just in case?

Cheryl,
As long as everyone is accomodated and happy so am I. I like the heat so it is up to everyone else if they want to eat outside.

Melissa,
My aunt was the one who gave me the good advice about his clean and mine so I can not take credit. I can say it saves me from pulling out my hair. I think back to my messes when I was younger and I had piles on the floor but I knew what pile my things were in when I needed them. Thank goodness no mice or spiders lived in my piles or I would have had to clean them up out of fear of what might crawl out of them. lol

Timmy- I feel terrible! I didn't even ask about your Easter! I know what you mean about the cute kids at church. I didn't think my pastor would think too kindly of me just taking one or two of them :rotfl:

As for your itinerary, I'm betting this is how your week will go:

Tuesday- a little Disboarding while you get your haircut
Wednesday- work, disboarding, then you'll get wrapped up in text messaging everyone of your DISfriends that you'll forget about laundry :lmao:
Thursday- laundry, DISboarding, last minute ADR changes, more text messaging
Friday- work, contact SWA to see if they have an even EARLIER flight :rolleyes1 stay up all night packing and DISboarding
Saturday- FLY HOME! :yay:
