Sept 2007 My Affair w/Mickey -- Complete!

Well, as for the crafts, I won't duplicate all of them but will highlight a few of the ones I like or ones you are bound to see down in WDW.

For starters, here are some pages from my DD's Disney Activity Book that I made for the plane rides. It started out as a way for me to experiment with some new ideas and ended up as a cute little book.

So cute! I love them!

As long as we are pimping out our trip reports - check mine out - I've got some craft stuff and some scrapbooking layouts on there! :thumbsup2

Hey Marshay, I'm here, I subscribed. I can't wait to read more. I know that one photo was taken in Ocean City, can't fool me when it comes to the Jersey shore!!!!!

I could have sworn I posted on here earlier because I said to my husband that I was the first poster on the thread. Now I wonder who's I posted on!

Hope what I wrote makes some sort of sense to them! :lmao:

What I wanted to say but apparently didn't was great report so far! So jealous of the DVC and all! Maybe one day.....

Keep the report coming!

That's too funny Sarah!! :rotfl2: You can check your User CP to see all the threads that you responded on...

Yeah, I never thought DVC would be a reality but we had a circumstance where we had to sell stock (my DH changed jobs) and he got a promotion as well, so it just worked out for us.

:confused3 We leave for WDW on 9/15 so I think we will overlap a few days.

I would never shamlessly plug my Pre Trippie in your pre-trippie by saying that the link is in my siggy. :snooty:

Oh, yes our days overlap but I don't think our itineraries do...but I know you were making some changes...I just didn't compare them yet but I'm hoping to Mickey Head you!! :lmao:

A double shameless plug turn-around!! :thumbsup2

Been there, done that!! I was checking out your siggie and realized that you had a TR, too.

Oh, if you want to see the full Craft thread, go to the other one in my siggie.

I know, how could I first write OC, Maryland??? Glad you could join in...I'm trying to get everyone up-to-date, fast and furiously...before my trip starts!!!

This year has really made me want to be crafty, hence the title. I admit I got most of my inspiration from the Creative Threads here on the DIS. But once you start meeting (on-line) some great folks here on the DIS, you get caught up in the spirit of Disney and want to express yourself.

Here are my tie-dye shirts for our trip. DH and I did them...we used what is called the crystal method, so they don't look like normal rainbow tie-dyes...I haven't told my parents about these yet...sure hope they will wear them!

My DH made a point of saying to me, "you know, I haven't complained about the shirts and all of us dressing alike...just wanted you to know!"

So I gave him lots of kudos for being willing to wear the shirts in public!

Ok, I think this is my last completed craft project. I have never done autographs before but now that I have a DD, I wanted to give it a try...I decided to use blank cards for the autographs and needed something sturdy for the characters to write on...so based on BernardandBianca's thread, I learned how to make my own Mickey clipboard

So glad that your back is better...and quickly too! I herniated two discs in late 2004, and I wasn't back on my feet completely until July 2005. Keep strengthening that core! :thumbsup2

We did DD and DS's first haircuts at the MS Barber Shop. DD was 5 at the time and had curly hair down to her waist. DS was only 15 months, so his wasn't quite so long. :teeth: The barbers do a fantastic job, and it's well worth the wait! Ask for Micheal, if he's there. He's wonderful!

Great craftiness going on here! I recently finished the clipboards (also based on Bernard&Bianca's thread) a few weeks ago. Hope that your DD enjoys hers!

So great that you get to travel with extended family. I hope that you all have a magical trip! :wizard:

Which brings me to my final Craft project -- making my itinerary mini-scrapbook. The countdown is ticking...but I finally finalized my schedule and here it is..so now I can start working on the book.

9/15 - Arrive MCO at 4pm. Checkin Best Western Lake Buena Vista at Downtown Disney. We got this on Priceline so not only was it super cheap -- it's already on Disney property!!!

9/16 Check-in to Beach Club Villas, Pool Day
O'hanas Dinner

9/17 Epcot and Chefs de France for lunch
UK (fish and chips) for dinner and rent a surrey bike at the Boardwalk

9/18 SeaWorld
Thanks to another DISer, I was able to get SW tickets for only $25  Knowing that my DD2 will love the dolphins, whales, sharks, fish, penguins, etc, we just had to take advantage of this special deal.

9/19 Little Ones Magic Hour (if we can all get up in time for this) at MK and Le Cellier Dinner (ooooh, I am so looking forward to this).

9/20 Pool Day
Cape May Cafe for breakfast and Raglan Road for dinner. DTD shopping in the evening.

9/21 Little Ones Magic Hour at MK and then in the evening my parents are taking DD to Whispering Canyon for dinner so DH and I get a night out!!! This will be the longest that DD will be away from us while she is still awake. DH and I are eating at Narcoosee (GF), watching HalloWishes and Water Parade and then heading over to Pleasure Island.

9/22 Animal Kingdom, Flame Tree BBQ for early lunch and Chef Mickeys for dinner. MK for SpectroMagic and Wishes. (My DD loves the boom booms, so I'm really hoping she'll be awake for them..maybe I can get her to do a powernap after dinner by riding the TTA...)

9/23 Boat to MGM and then checkin AKV. Boma dinner

9/24 Grand Floridian Photo Shoot and open day...may try to stop by the Mickey Surplus Store. MK evening

9/25 Boma Breakfast. Depart WDW.

Bernard, Bernard, Bernard...how could I forget his name...thanks! I never was in so much pain (including labor!) as I was with my herniated disc/sciatica...it was horrible, as you well know...I remembered I had a cold at the same time and every time I coughed or sneezed I thought I literally was going to be cut into two! URGH!!

So glad to hear you are better, too.

I will definitely ask for Michael if he's there...another person said that the guy was tons better than the woman that works there...but I know it gets really crowded, too so I may have to take what I can get...

Loving your thread Marshay!!! Love these not shameless, shameless plugs!!:rotfl2: Kinda makes me want to go ahead and start my TR.
Your DD is Beautifull and I LOVE the activity book, What creative genius!:thumbsup2

Disneydad!!!

Welcome all new folks and thanks so much for the kind words...

My parents drive down from PA tomorrow and spend a few days with us before they continue on down to FL (my mom doesn't like to fly and my dad won't spend the money for plane + rental car when " he had a perfectly good mini-van sitting in the driveway!" :lmao:

I do worry about him driving since my mom won't drive and my dad doesn't like to drive at night...

Anyway, this is perfect timing since my DH will be in Chicago for 2 days (hmmm, did he plan to be out of town when he knew his in-laws were coming?!?) :rotfl2:
