Sept 2005 Roll Call...It’s Finally Sept! Are You Ready? Come Share Your Enthusiasm

We are going 9/24-10/1, MNSSHP 9/30.

We were originally going in Dec 2005, but then I saw the free dining on the internet. No brainer to change to Sep.

DH, DS11, DD9. Second trip-staying at ASM (same as 1st trip April 2003)

Great to see DaddyBug & other DH on web. My DH says it must be all women!!! Lot he knows.

Next time you update...if you don't mind...our plans got changed...we're staying at BWI now instead of the POLY (that darn re-model! ).

We get in 1st thing in the morning Saturday Sept. 24rd hopefully we get a room as early as 8AM if not will just hang around DTD.

Sept. 24 = Dinner at Fulton's Crab House and finish unpacking.

Sept. 25 = Dinner at O'Hana at 7:40PM
Sleep in, Start the day with breakfast in the Hotel counter Service. Do Minitiature golf at Fantasia. Lunch at DTD and do more sitting and soaking the sun right next to Gherardelli Shop while doing my fairy god mailer act

Sept. 26 = Dinner at Crystal Palace at 5:00PM
Breakfast at the Boardwalk Bakery , then head off to MK. Walk around crowded or not, when it gets hot grab an Ice cream cone along Main Street and find a nice sitting place and watch people go by. Counter service for lunch at Casey's. Dinner, walk more... in between the whole day's walking Philharmagic,Splash Mountain, Small World and Haunted Mansion had been checked out Find a nice spot for Spectromagic then grab more junk food, give out my goody bags to kids and wait for Wishes. Then head back to hotel.

Sept. 27 = Dinner at Boma at 6:00PM.
Need to b e up early to try Soarin at EPCOT, then head off to AK for lunch at Flame Tree, walk a bit hit the rapids, watch Tarzan Rocks for the last time before the close it for good. Wait for the jammin' parade. Head to dinner, relax at AKL or maybe go back to hotel to freshen up then head back to DTD for Cirque de Soleil at 9:00PM

Sept. 28 = Dinner at 1900 Park Fare at 4:30PM
Just in case Soarin was not possible the day before we'll try to do it again this morning. Then off to Test Track, Innovations and see Figment. Off to Monorail for Dinner. After Dinner go back to EPCOT at Worldshowcase area for the Illuminations Dessert Gathering at 8:30PM with 24 other Dis'ers . After Illuminations... go back to hotel and relax, put feet up and watch a movie.

Sept. 29 = Dinner at Whispering Canyon at 7:30PM
Late morning since brunch at 11:10 at Chef Mickey. After Brunch hit MGM to look for The Incredibles and Jojo and ride RNR and look for the favorite umbrella and stop at Pooh's Gala. Finish the day by looking for more photo ops with Characters.

Sept. 30 = Potsie's Bday!!! MNSSHP at 7 to 12AM at MK
Early day to hit EPCOT for the Food and Wine Festival. Booked for the 3 wine testing. Maybe Lunch at Yakitory around 6ish head to MK to meet my 10 kids who are giving my friends Mickey, Stitch, Jojo and Pooh Bear a home . After the meet and greet off to trick and treat and grab all the Characters we can. After MNSSHP head to hotel. Start packing.

Oct. 1st = late morning, just relax and get ready to go home Sunday the 2nd

It's okay...after looking at the information out there about BWI, we're pretty excited about staying there. It looks fantastic!! And seeing as it's our first trip down, we are just glad to be going!

Oh yeah, and getting married is pretty exciting too!!

ok, so we've had a TOTAL change of plans....nothing like waiting until 47 days out........

So, my DH just started a new job, and while they gave him the time off for our planned (and paid for) trip, it would be without pay. Well, he found out yesterday that for the Labor Day holiday (for which he'd be scheduled 12hours for, if worked) they will be paying......TRIPLE TIME......but you are required to work both the day before and after the holiday.

So, we talked about it, and I decided that the best thing for us to do was try and cancel the ressie, but DH would not hear of it......so I asked my mom to go with me, since I can't get money back for part of our plans (pin event).....so now it's a Daughter/Mother trip to WDW

We shortened the trip by two nights, but I was able to rebook the flights without penalty

So, now I have to TOTALLY redo our dining ressies.....hope I can find some availability

Sorry to hear about the change in plans! Triple time sounds so nice...I wish my work had that for holidays...alas I only get holiday pay (which is a set number of hours at my benefit rate....better than nothing I guess!). I hope you and your mother have a great trip and enjoy the pin event. When you are back you will have to give a report on the pin event that sounds like so much fun.

I've heard of folks planning to put something on their door to let other DISer's know they are there...

Well, IRL, I'm kinda shy and while I don't mind casually meeting as we pass in the parks, I don't really want folks knocking on our door while we're there for our honeymoon!

So, I was thinking of decorating some sheets of paper (complete with lime green Mickey heads, of course) like a "Guest Book" thing and putting it on our door so fellow DISer's can sign it whether we are there or not...what do you think?

I thought it would make a cool souvenir to bring back home!

sounds like a winner to me... that's what we did last April was place a Lime Mickey (head cut out from an art paper) at our door... but I guess not alot do the AS resort... so now I will just wear my DIS botton (thanks to Meriweather) on my hat.... hope to meet some you there....

Well, it looks like my dates are going to change slightly. I was feeling claustrophobic trying to get everything in in just five full days, so I added an additional day at the beginning of my trip. Woo hoo!
