I was just in our Dick's Sporting Goods store and they had a whole slew of CROCS. If you have one near by you may want to check it out!

Thanks, I just called two of the local stores, one has the closed toe style, and the other doesn't carry them. Figures, since I am looking for the open-toe NILE style.

Yep, our Dick's only had the Beach CROCS too. No open toes ones. Everyone seems to be raving about the close toed ones.....I looked at them but just can't bring myself to by a pair. I did get a pair of the Payless "CROCS knock offs" open toed style for $4 and they are awesome. I got a white pair and red pair and they are so comfy. Good luck on your quest!

I'm getting just so so so excited!!! we start calling soon to see if we can upgrade our hotel, we have our meal plans (outside the park) done, shopping lists made, i have 2 boxes that i'm starting to fill up, one is in the pantry and i'm filling with stuff i can take vs buying after we are there! the other box is in my daughters closet that i'm taking special toys away from both my older kids slowly so they will seem "new" again for the 18hour drive down.
Did i mention that i'm driving my dh nuts with all the time i'm spending on this board!!! LOL

My DH is going nuts, too! He tells me to get off the computer all of the time- he hates planning and jsut wants to wing it- What's that???? I'm obsessing, he says. Is that a bad thing? Between these boards and tourguidemike, I never get anything else done!! Can't wait until September 3rd!!! I think I'll make my packing list today.

Can anyone give me a schedule or is there one out there of what you all do to get ready at this point.

Here is some of what I have left to put together/do:
-Make a Packing List (and actually put it into Excel!)
-Make a Grocery List (I think I decided to hire a towncar and just do a gorcery stop)
-Add some more info to my vacation book (finalized ADR's, maps, addresses, phone numbers, etc)
-Buy another memory card for my camera
-Decide on a camcorder

A week or so before:
-Actually lay out clothes and pack
-Get my money and wallet organized and set

I have read to get a "Disney" box and start collecting stuff that stays in the box. I have to try to do that. I have been trying to get things like a mini fan for the stroller and mist fans, but something always happens when I plan it. Where do most of you buy them and how good are they?

I have box full of stuff I have been buying for the trip. Here are some of the items in it:
Disney Socks
Mini Fans (got them at Dollar Store and Disney Store
Chapstick
Water Bottle Holders
Small Travel Items
Glow Sticks
nightlight
small notebooks

There are two different types of Misters. One that has a fan attached and one that is a personal cooling system. I just use a small portable fan with no misting capabilties. Check out this thread:

If you have an Overland traing compnay (sells shoes) in any of your malls give them a call. I have seen the Nile style there.

Us too Vic!! Four of us, NO KIDS! One doesn't have kids, but still. My friend and I have had this planned for a long time and then my cousin asked to come along just last week and bring her friend that lives in TX. This TX friend got surprised by her DH last night for her birthday. She was flipping out! My cousin and friend aren't doing NOJ though, just me and my friend.

Oh, and we have the Package with the Free Dining and I was able to add a room to my reservation and get the deal for my cousin and her friend as well!

Didnt plan on going this year but the deal with the food came up and I couldnt pass it up.

Upgrading your hotel? Can you get good deals closer you get to your travel date?

I'm going 9/24-9/30 on their dining plan special and would love to upgrade, but as far as I know, I think on this plan they were all sold out.
