we will be there at the Hilton on September 18-22. So excited. DD8 and DD6 have been twice, but DS4 has never been and will be in that "everything's magical" stage!!!! Can't wait.

I'm going to be there the first week of sep!!! Cant' wait! 9/3-9/10 we are staying at the new fairfeild resort very very close to disney property! I'm so excited!

Now that our dates are getting closer, it is becoming apparent to me that the time to really get organised is upon us !

Now, I've know which days are best days for each park, but I wonder how many of us actually know in which order they will hit the attractions? Because I don't have that sorted yet! Also, well my itinerary is 5 pages long so far, with almost everything I need to know in there. Then I'll have seperate secrets lists to bring to each park, just in case I actually want to look for something when we are there. Last year after all this planning we just winged it, and had a blast anyway! I'm thinking also, that there may very well be a hurricane when we are there, and although we are buying less at Publix on the way to the Pop, perhaps we should get somethings with that in mind. Otherwise I can't see us eating much more than we already get on the dining plan.

What else? Last year I was up until 1am the night before our departure day packing. So I'm thinking maybe I should create some sort of reverse packing list to help me out this time round. Has anyone else done this yet? Probably not, I realise how crazy it sounds.

There is so much to do yet! Really I'm just very excited because today I managed to get us a ADR for Cinderella's Royal Table Fairytale Lunch

I think we are at the same stage! I keep re-working my plans and making list upon list. I recently orgaznized everything for my trip into a large 3 ring binder and I also have a mini 3 ring binder that I bring on my trip. I started making a packing list a few weeks ago (even though like you I'm always packing into the night!) and I started a grocery list the other day! good luck on the rest of your planning...I know I will be planning until my plane touches down at MCO!

We will be in WDW from Sept 3 - 10th - (3 days in the park with premium tickets - a day a Cape Canavaral, day at Sea World)

I know know most of those days are very light in attendance...we plan on using tips like go to the back of the park first etc - but do you really think we will need to use a serious 'touring plan'?

We also havent made any ADR (besides a character breakfast)....no place we 'have to go' for dinner - we rented points at OKW - so we plan on eating some meals at the condo....

So my basic question is ------do I need to do more planning for the parks????

Also - have the park hours been posted? If so where can I easily find them...

My wife and I will be at All Stars Music from 9/28 till 10/8. Not sure about what day for MNSSHP, but will be there for my 23rd Birthday on 9/29. My wifes first trip ever and my first trip in over 10 years. I CANNOT WAIT (can't say the same for her though, I'll have to make a believer out of her )

Depending which days you are in the parks you might want to do some planning. I would suggest Tour Guide Mike to you (www.tourguidemike.com) or prehaps going to your local library and checking out some guidebooks if you do not have any. I don't think it will be overly crowded, but some of these tools might help you figure out how to attack (for lack of better term) the parks and see what you are interested in seeing without going ! Here are some general rules I follow: I don't go to the park that has Early Magic Hours unless I'm going to catch a few rides and then hopping parks same with the evening magic hours. Not sure which parks you are thinking of visiting, but you might look at the EMH schedule and plan around that (i.e. A good day to visit the MK is Thursdays because it is sandwiched in between the parks EMH hours (Wed night EMH and Fri morning EMH).

While I am here, I figured I would share a little secret with you all. As a long time lurker, I have always found great joy reading these boards, but the past couple of months, I have found a peace and an "escape" here in the boards, in particular, this thread. Seeing the excitement and especially the countdown has taken my mind of personal issues here in SC. My father in law past away in May, and left a legal mess. Lots of family members turning on each other and name calling has gone on and this place has been a haven of rest for me. We have weathered the worst of the storm with some help from some friends.

Thanks to everyone who makes this place a fun place to be. Thanks particularly to those that make it possible. You never know how far reaching things you do actually are, no matter how insignificant they may seem.

I'm gald you had some friends to help you through everything (we had something similar happen in our family and it got nasty!).

I can't believe that July is half over already seems like I was waiting for the 4th to come around just the other day! How is everyones planning coming along? I can hardly wait to break my suitcase out and start packing. In fact I just bought a piece of luggage off E-Bay I hope to also use on my trip

Still trying to find a pair of CROCS.....can't seem to find anyplace around me that sells them, so I can try them on . I do need to get a few things (new sneakers for DH, a few incidentals for me), and I've already made a pedicure appointment for the day before we leave, along w/ confirming the dog's boarding.

I was waiting and waiting and waiting for those hours of Sept. to post and then the other day I realized they should be in. When I remembered that they had probably come in on July 1st and it was already July 15th and I was seeing everyone post their final itinararies. Well you could say my mind kinda had memory block, especially when I couldn't find my sketched out itinarary for 10 days for 10 people....the paper I practically took to bed with me! I posted for help and a nice disney'r by the name of Dawn guided me back to sanity. Thank you Dawn! This group is great!

Well needless to say, I have been out of the loop for a while. It is coming upon 45 days! I think I have got my itinarary somewhat under control. Can anyone give me a schedule or is there one out there of what you all do to get ready at this point. We are leaving Sept. 9th.(driving) We will be first heading to my husbands parents house in Florida. We don't check into WL until the 12th for 10 nights!!!(first time our family has ever stayed in WDW!!!) I have stayed twice as a kid and we went as a family for two day passes about 10 years ago! So this is it-the last big family vacation before our oldest leaves home. What do you all have done already and what are you doing. I have read to get a "Disney" box and start collecting stuff that stays in the box. I have to try to do that. I have been trying to get things like a mini fan for the stroller and mist fans, but something always happens when I plan it. Where do most of you buy them and how good are they? A few days ago my oldest daughter and I had fun going to scrapbook stores and picking out some disney stuff. Are there anyone of you on this thread. I still have to figure out how I am going to download digital pictures. We have a mac, but I found a steal at a flea market and got a lap top computer, but it doesn't have a cd burner-I got to ask someone who knows if I should download them to the lap top and then try transferring them to my mac. I don't know, its not my specialty. So many things running around in my mind. Oh and then there's the fact that we homeschool and I've been spending so much time research disney and some things haven't come together that I haven't completely planned that. So I am still trying to put all that together and of course going to Disney is "school"! I have some educational ideas, but would love to hear if any of you have some clever fun ideas.
So, here I am asking what this board does best- help, ideas, questions answered. You guys are great, look forward to hearing what you have for me I love all ideas. The world revolves around ideas. TigerTam

I was just in our Dick's Sporting Goods store and they had a whole slew of CROCS. If you have one near by you may want to check it out!
