Hi there,
A question for all....
Is there any storage at the PORT of Vancouver for Luggage?
any other options for Storing for 1 day. I would love to NOT have to SCHLEP my luggage to and from the place i am staying overnight on monday.
thanks all.

:dance3:
:cool1::banana::rolleyes1

That's a great idea!
I'll see if DH and my brother are up for it. I don't think anyone would want to do it alone since we are not familiar with the sky train or the area at all, but in a pair they probably wouldn't mind :)

Would the rest of us be able to wait inside the port (once it opens) or will we all need to go in together (not sure if they would need cruise documents to get in the port?)

In Florida, I believe our "driver" who was returning the rental car only needed his "id" to get into the terminal (as we had gone in)....i can confirm that with him on Friday....but i do remember that everyone had to be present before we could 'check in' and get the KTTW cards...but then i'm not sure if this nonUS terminal is any different...i would probably get the luggage taken care of (there should be porters outside of the terminal who will take it - similar to airport curbside checkin) & just wait outside for them to return. I will also check with a couple of friends who did the Alaska cruise out of Vancouver - to see if they know / had to do anything similar

So how early is everyone showing up at the port? Anyone know when we are allowed in? We were thinking of leaving home at about 6am, which would put us at the port between 9am-10am, probably closer to 10 after bathroom break and finding our way and all that, lol.

From what I've read, the port doesn't open up until 11am.

We won't be there till noon at the earliest...I think I picked a 12:30 check in time...?

We plan on catching the 9am ferry as walk-ons and then taking the bus to the station, then a taxi to the Pan. Whew...I'll be sooo ready for a drink of the day by the time we're on board :rotfl:!

We picked boarding time 12:00-12:30 thinking most would be boarding early and we would have an easy time just walking on but reading threw the book that we just received, it says boarding doesn't start until 1. I hasn't heard that before.

Hmm, thats weird, I thought they started between 11-12 usually?

We still haven't gotten our documents yet :( Hope that doesn't mean we've been kicked off the boat, lol.

Wow this is a long thread!! Still has about 30 pages to read through !! Still haven't received my cruise doc yet. Does anyone know what time we will be in LA ? Just wondering how we are going to book a shuttle to DL

ohhhhh - i hope it's not like Florida where you check in then you wait around the terminal for a couple of hours before you get to board....i kind of thought that they started with the 11 am check ins because there would not be any passengers getting off - the ship will be clean and ready for us....????

there is a DISNEY bus that you can book or lots of other shuttle vans
Super Shuttle is one....we are scheduled to dock at 9:30 - i booked our van for a 10:30 pick up time to allow getting thru customs

got the rest of the FE gifts yesterday :banana::banana: now the big decision is to put it all together here / on the train / or on the ship?????

We have 11:00 boarding time.

Plan: We fly in on Monday afternoon. We have Disney transfers. Our hotel (Sandman) has an airport shuttle. Tuesday: shuttle to airport from Sandman back to airport, Disney transfers to terminal. Drive times are around 30 minutes. I figure if we start out by 10:00 we should be at the terminal around 11AM.

We don't mind waiting around. We will play one of our favorite games… people watching!

Oh...as pp, I have info written down in my notes stating that the terminal opens at 11AM. Don't know where I got this info from. I just collect stray posts/info that I find on here and add them to a word doc.

If you're riding Coach on the train, I'd recommend not doing it there. There doesn't appear to be a whole lot of room to work at the seats. I don't know if there is space in the lower level Cafe.

What does everyone mean by "put it all together?!" :confused3 I mean, I've never done a cruise before, much less an FE exchange, so what all is there to "put together?!" I mean, I'm making things, and I was planning to do one thing in each FE bag 2-3 times during the cruise. Are you guys talking about putting all of your stuff in individual bags and just delivering it once?! :confused3 I guess I'm just confused and not really sure how this is supposed to go.

Well, it's up to you. I've done it both ways,-on cruises with a lot of FE participants, I put together a cabin gift and made one delivery. and on cruises with just a few cabins I've made multiple deliveries. For the cabins with kids, I like to make FE deliveries on multiple days so there's a little something in their FE over several days.

One of the items has to be 'wrapped' and i haven't decided yet if i'm doing all the items at once or on diff days, so if i go with all at one time - they all need to be bagged up :)
however you want to do yours is perfectly fine - there are NO rules here :)
