Do I need to sign up for the rain room thingy right away, or can I take my time? Is the spa tour crowded?

You can sign up on the first day. The spa tour is not really crowded but you can go any time on your own.

Hi everyone, me (Julie) and my mum (Chris) will be on this cruise. We're flying in from the UK to Vancouver on the 17th, doing a bit of sightseeing. After the cruise we're meeting up with some friends that we met on the Disney Magic a few years ago and visiting Disneyland (we've never been before). We're staying in the Grand Californian. After that we're flying to Orlando and staying at the Saratoga Springs Disney hotel for 8 days. So its a very Disney holiday :-) This will be our 4th Cruise with Disney.

Welcome Julie and Chris. THat sounds like a great vacation. I have Disney World on my to do list. I am Heather and my DH John will be on our 1st cruise

Thanks for the welcome Heather. You and your husband will love the Wonder, we've been on it 3 times, and its such a lovely ship.

There are some folks ( Tanyaewa, AuntyJenn i.e) who never gave a actual name but it may be their screen name ( Tanya, Jenn) please let me know.

I've read on some other threads about people doing galley tours. Has anyone seen this mentioned on the website? I couldn't find anything!

Not everything gets mentioned on the web site.

We did the galley tour a couple of years back and did enjoy it. It is not a long tour at all, but you really do get a feeling of the magnitude of the masses that cruise ships have to prepare meals for. Head to the main desk and ask about it when you first get on. It is free and they gave out cookies (chocolate chip, I believe.).

Question about the FE exchange:

What happens if we try for an upgrade at the port and change rooms?
What is the best way to go about letting the other participant know about the switch?
I was thinking at the meet the 1st day, but maybe not all the FE participants will make it to the meet, would a magnet work?
I'm thinking if I printed up a "The S family has moved to room ------" where I can just take a pen and fill in the room number and leave it on the old rooms door?

On our WBTA last September, the person in charge of the FE had a board that one could post their name and the new cabin # on it. Everyone knew to just take a minute to check that cabin before delivering the gifts.

the coffee at the Cove is good~maybe this trip i can take my mini Keurig (since i'm not flying anywhere).....

Catching up on the posts - and getting sooo excited for the .:sail:

So excited I didn't check my passport and oops - it is 6 months minus a week to the good - need to get my Minney ears on and get those pics off and get it renewed.

The Keurig idea sounds great - get ready for the day, and a pick me up during the day, ready for supper and show, oh, maybe best to buy a card - I would need a big case of coffee.

Get passport renewed and working on the FE. :dance3:

Hello, who is on this morning train? We are! :cool1:

Was wondering if anyone has already researched the best mode of transportation to the port? TIA!

ETA: From reading cruise critic, it sounds like we'll get in the taxi line and head over. :)

Via station is about 3 km away from the cruise terminal. Cab ride is short and sweet.

Science world is across from the train station - if you were early and could check your luggage and check it out. Usually has lots of fun stuff.

Hi Julie! Glad to have you on board.

Thanks Dani...andded you and Andy to list. :thumbsup2

I want to do a bridge tour...
oh i would like to as well!!!

YIKES - MUST have valid passport at all times - good thing you checked!!!
the more space i take up with "consumable products" going means MORE empty space on coming back for any purchases :)
:rotfl::cool1::thumbsup2

:worship: Person after my own heart - empty space in suitcases means more space to fill with treasures.

Passport renewal and those gorgeous photos are in the mail to Passport Canada.

I do have a Disney wipeboard that I bought specifically for this issue. I have also seen cruisers leave a note on their old door *not for sure how long the note would last if the room is filled*.
