Sept 20,2011 Wonder Repositioning Cruise

So is there an FE exchange happening on this cruise? I'd be interested in participating if there was. They sound like a lot of fun! :)

There is. Jennifer is the coordinator. She needs how many people are going to be in the cabin, if there are children, what are there ages (and gender) and your room number if you have it.

Oh! Can you point me to the post where that info is being tallied?! :)

I don't have a room number yet (GTY), no kids - just FH and me on our honeymoon. I hope that's OK if we join in, even if we don't have children.

I'm so excited about the the Fish Extender Exchange. We'll have a lot of fun with this :)

I am in for the FE as well, my mom and I have been looking threw the boards for ideas for the last couple of days and have come up with some good stuff :)

I can't send PMs yet so I will put the info here. 4 people in the cabin 5020:

Me -Michelle
Hubby Steve
Daughter Kate- 7
Grandma Robbie

How many cabins are signed up for the FE exchange so far?

At the last tally (on page 9 I think) we had 6 staterooms, not sure how many more since then.

Just a heads up: Disney has finally posted excursions for Ensenada.

Thank you for the link, for some reason I couldn't find it myself, lol.
I was hoping for a "family beach day" type excursion, seems the closes it the resort one, but it doesn't really say if there is access to swim in the ocean or not. (mentions paid water activies at a small private beach, but not swimming in the ocean). I might have to call Disney to ask, unless anyone knows more?

I was curious about that too. My daughter isn't really interested in exploring on our own but I think a beach day would be nice. Please let me know what you find out!

Yeah, I saw those about a week ago. Nothing that interested FH and me, so we'll probably just end up staying on the ship. A little bit of a disappointment. What do you guys think about them?

The nice thing about staying on the ship while at any port is that it is easy to get a deck chair by the pool.

Haven't really decided on an excursion yet though....

As far as I can tell (I am trying to keep track) with Makayna and Michelle's groups we are up to twelve rooms (23 A and 6 c) in the FE group.

I am looking forward to it, but better get get busy on my FE gift. I also need to talk my DH into making the Fish Extender for us (He sews and is retired)

I'd have been interested in the horseback excursion, but we will have a 4 and 1 year old with us, so are limited to what we can do. The kids definitely would get bored during a shopping/city tour! The wine country tour sounds interesting, but again, not sure how the kids would do for that long with not much to entertain them...

See, that's the thing... I can go horseback riding (and probably look at prettier scenery) where I live for $22 per person. I've done winery tours... LOTS of them. Not really interested in that. Plus... shopping? Really? Nothing really sparked my interest. Now, in Victoria, LOTS of things looked interesting to us, like the castle tour or the Empress Hotel tour with tea. And unfortunately, the excursions in Victoria are MUCH more expensive. The prices were pretty reasonable in Ensenada... just nothing that I can rationalize spending that much money on that I can do here or where FH lives. He lives on the West Coast right now, so LOTS of wineries... plus, there are several wineries where I live too, and I've been to them all. And I live in the Midwest in a pretty touristy town, so there's LOTS of tourist things to do here really, really cheap because I live here, so I can't justify spending 2x - 3x as much in Mexico. I was hoping for something really unique that we can't do in the North West or in the Midwest. But alas...... not really. :guilty:

There certainly aren't a lot of options for families with kids are there......Do the kids clubs stay open on port days? If tthey did, that would at least give you & your DH an oppotunity to do something on your own.

Victoria is a beautiful city, especially the Habour area, we were there several years ago. I'm thinking about either the carriage ride or the double decker bus. I think those are the only ones my son would enjoy. Me, I would love to do tea at the Empress.......but the cost for two people is quite high.

No, there isn't much to choose from :( I do believe that the clubs are open on port days, but I wouldn't feel comfortable leaving them there while I'm not on the ship close by at their ages.
I'll have to see if my mom is interested in any of the port adventures, if she decides to stay on board, she can alway swatch them while DH and I do an excursion, but I wouldn't ask her unless she was already deciding to stay on board, since it is her vacation to :)

I might do some more research to see if there is a public beach near port that we could hang out at, if not, we can always stay on board and make use of the pools.:thumbsup2

We only live 4 hours from Victoria (including ferry time) and actually have family in the area, so I'm not sure if we will do anything at that stop, if we do, it might be to hop off and have family meet us at the port for lunch somewhere.
But I agree that it is a beautiful area!
The Castle excursion did sound neat to me, but I don't think anyone else in our group would care except me, lol.
