Cruising next year in December--it's been awhile since I got to see the Magic all gussied up for the holidays.

Kimberly and other OCDers--I have no lists (I am not a wirte it down kind of person--even did all my "writing" and revising in my head as an ENglish major and typed just one already final draft) but I have a lot of planning going on mentally. Kimberly--Erik has promised to alter my pink barbie dress for me if I am not in a size 5 by THIS cruise:banana: . And Rio is already making it known that he MUST get more ties as we have so many dinners--not that he is able to compete with the ultmiate tie wearers we are dining with (psst--someone ask Erik about his and Jason's ties:rolleyes1 ) Of course I am thinking about door magnets and travel options, etc. Half hte fun of a Disney cruise is in hte planning isn't it?!?!

Hadley, I really get jealous of people who have that kind of memory! Geez, girl! I'll leave it up to you if you want to explain why you pointed out your pink Barbie dress to me specifically. You already know I wouldn't normally hesitate to give visuals! :rotfl2: (Think Pink Barbie Dress...think pink!)

This evening, I was looking at some excursions offered last summer. The Ocean Odyssey sailing charter sounded wonderful! I just found the website...this looks like it makes for a heavenly day! Did any of you seasoned Gibraltar vacationers do this? If this is offered again, I will seriously consider this!

Does anybody here scrapbook their cruises??

You will see me walking around picking up scraps of streamers or confetti after the shows. I keep all the trivia cards, just anything I can find that has to do with the cruise.

I love scrapbooking the album instead of just a photo album, but I am only a beginner.
I would love some tips from experienced scrapers for this cruise to make it extra special?

Kathy

ME! ME! I do have a very cool idea, if I say so myself. On our Sept 27 Double Dip, I interchanged scrapbook pages on my cabin door for all the DISers to stop by and sign. I already have this on my "to-do" list to create some pages to use on our TA cruise. These are very treasured pages.

I'm being lazy by not taking pics of the pages I got signed, but here are some pics I had taken before I left for the cruise of some of the pages I paper-pieced. If anyone else has the itch to do this idea, by all means do it! I cannot wait to make a double-page spread with photos of all my new friends along with the signature pages.

I have a Cinderlla page made as well. I also have the supplies to make other characters like Belle, Aurora, and Pluto, but never got around to them. I might use some of these for our cruise instead of using all of them for my past cruise's scrapbook. :)

You can see the Donald page here on our door.

Hi Angie,

we traveled across the U.S. this summer in our RV from Florida( our home) to Oregon and are living in our RV for awhile too.:goodvibes
We have all our famiy here, and we are here at least through the winter while our home is rented.

So we both like to RV, thats cool!!!!kathy

We plan to be in OR for a week or 10 days in early/mid Nov. Are you anywhere near Salem or Portland? We plan to stay at Champoeg State Park. A mini meet would be fun. PM me.

Sign me up! :rotfl:

Sandie, you ARE one up on me! I thought about my binder, but haven't gotten as far as to do something about it! I'll have to clean out my binder from the Sept Double Dip cruise first. :)

I just try to show up when and where PJ's spreadsheet tells me to! :confused3

Okay. My name is Kimberly, and I know I have a problem! However, if anyone can MAYBE relate and understand, it's going to be someone here on the DISboards!

Today I worked on several lists related to the cruise. This includes a miscellaneous expenses list, budget savings plan, packing list, carry-on bag list, to-do list with target start/finish dates, and a list of questions to get answered.

Is there anyone here who can join me in the WB TA OCVP (Obsessive Complusive Vacation Planner) Club? Please? I don't want to feel alone here!

:lmao:

Kimberly, you crack me up!!!! Don't forget the Airborn on your packing list!

I'm so excited for the cruise, but right now wedding planning is consuming my life...but in a very good way!!! :thumbsup2

POG at Cove Cafe at 10 pm, cheese and crackers on deck 10 for a late movie, morning coffee at the Cove Cafe, hmmmmm..........

Okay, Buckeye Gal said that I could reveal my ridiculous OCVP and please let me know if anybody has beat me because I am pretty bad. I came home from the Double Dip and made labels for the luggage tags that they give you when you disembark so you don't have to write them out, I just throw on the sticker! This is also in my binder! Hey - if we all give each other hints for the OCVP club - we will be in great shape!!!:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Great idea!!! I have extras (I picked up a lot of them for my scrapbooking). And Kimberly - I'm a big planner. People at work can't believe I actually booked a cruise two years in advance!!

I love to scrapbook. I'm the same way, I walk around picking up everything that isn't nailed down!! Don't know if I'll use it but one never knows. I have all of the above waiting for my next book (the SEP DD cruise). I also picked up extras of the luggage tags they put out the last night of the cruise and I always pick up a couple of extra copies of the Navigators.

OMG, don't tell me you haven't packed your suitcase yet!? We only have 23 months to go

I can totally relate. I'm OCD about trips but I have another trip (non-Disney) to focus on first before I start on this one. Trust me, its all I ever talk, think and dream about...

Oh and wait until the "disney nightmares" start... I drive the family nuts with those!

Anyone else sailing before we cruise in 2010?

Have to say that we have a 4-Night Wonder booked in April (just for a fix), and Mike turns 40 next year, and he picked a 2-week on HAL for that. But, I am most excited about the cruise a whole 23 months from now. :)
We are sailing on the Magic Sept 26th '09.
Its weird having two cruises booked, I am really excited for two cruises that are ages away !!.

Yes Kathy, I love Scrapbooking and have scrapbooked all my cruises. I even make copies of the menu and add them - shrunk down of course. PM me if you want and I can tell you some great things you can do with vellum, buttons, etc.

So we got our paperwork frmo our travel agent last night. Inside was a 2008 Passporter with a lovely sticky note saying "I was out of DCL brochures and thought you would like this better anyway!" How did Doris KNOW that I forced myself not to buy the 2008 edition but I really, really wanted it. I love having an agent who sends me gifts in my envelopes!!

I can vouch for how fantastic Sandi's albums are:love:

You are so sweet Hadley! You made my day as I am struggling with a friend's wedding album. Kimberly, I love your pages and I might copy a few. I already have some pages in my mind for the 2010 trip. Sometimes I work ahead so I can just add pictures. I always do 12 x 12 and for friends I do 8 x 8. They are both fun!

Hi all!

It would be cool if SW did international flights by 2010. :thumbsup2 Actually, I would love for Jet Blue to do International Flights. I get lost in Direct TV! And blue chips ...

We will be sailing on the Dec 5, 2009 cruise to St Croix. We originally had it as a park date for this cruise, but it turned out this cruise was so cheap we decided to keep it instead of move it!

Good morning everyone,
I hope all my shipmates are having a great start to the week:goodvibes

Welcome Joanne,
I am new too, just signed up yesterday.
By this cruise we will be just a couple of months from our 37th Anniversary too. So we have something in common, our age:lmao: :lmao:

Kathy

Hey Kathy! Great to see that we will be sailing together again!! Hopefully no more storms tho!!

:)

We are sailing on the 3 day Disney Wonder 5/21-5/24/09 for my wedding. I'm getting married on the ship. 3 years ago, my daughter and I started a tradition of cruising on Disney for our birthdays in September (hers is 9/26 and mine is 9/23) so we will be on a cruise in September too.

Bev:)

Hey Bev!! Still crossing my fingers that I get to go.

We are going on a 7 day Western on 11/29/08:woohoo: :woohoo:

Just a little over amonth away:goodvibes

Kathy

We are doing 7 day Eastern in Oct 09 with some crazy Dis folks from this year's Member Cruise.

We are doing the Oct. 10 2009 St Croix cruise!!

Well, I got the confirmation paperwork from Disney yesterday for this cruise (well DH did - he had the day off) and DH saw the price and flipped. He said absolutely NOT. I just smiled and agreed and kept the cruise booked anyway!!! Hopefully I can pay it down to a reasonable price before he sees it again and tell him I got a deal later on..... It really is a good price for the cruise but airfare X4 is killing me.

Shirley

Another vote here for SW. I would like to try JetBlue also but they don't fly out of Philadelphia

We have two cruises planned before this one the Nov 30, 08 4 day on the Wonder (first time on the Wonder) and Sept 12, 09. The 4 day we just booked on our Sept 27th DD. We are going to WDW and Vero over Thanksgiving so why not stick a 4 day cruise in between the two:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2
