Okay. My name is Kimberly, and I know I have a problem! However, if anyone can MAYBE relate and understand, it's going to be someone here on the DISboards!

Today I worked on several lists related to the cruise. This includes a miscellaneous expenses list, budget savings plan, packing list, carry-on bag list, to-do list with target start/finish dates, and a list of questions to get answered.

Is there anyone here who can join me in the WB TA OCVP (Obsessive Complusive Vacation Planner) Club? Please? I don't want to feel alone here!

Kimberly,
I think you are in good company here for obsessive planners:rolleyes1
I too must confess, I normally am not a big planner for our cruises because i have done so many I just pack the night before and we are all set, but this time will be different.

I too am going to have a binder to take notes in, make plans, copy down tips others share and informaton about excursions, figure out clothing and much more.
So sign me up too for the WB TA OCVP club here:lmao:

Always!

Real quick - OCD working again - what decks are the laundry facilities on - I know 6, but what is the other floor?

Okay , still cant figue out this website stuff , I still cant log into it and noone seems to know whats wrong ... Brooklyn are you locking some of us on purpose ... everything was fine till you moved the sight ...LOL

pirate:

Thanks for the laundry info. Also, the website for me works just fine - Surprise!! Nothing on the computer ever works fine for me.

If Buckeye Gal Kimberly gives me the :thumbsup2 I can tell you the ridiculous thing I have already done for the cruise - until then, I will keep quiet out of embarassment.

It came and went so fast that I missed it! We've already passed a major milestone, friends! We're already under 700 days before we're dancing on Deck 9 with a drink in hand! We only have 6 more of these milestones left!

Your Countdown is Exactly 698 Days

The more the merrier! Great to know I'm not standing alone at this early stage!

my wife so suffers from this condition, sadly there is no cure

Yet aren't you pleased to know that she has a support system here? :)

Be thankful, because you can sit back, relax and enjoy the trip without all the worries. Plus if something goes wrong or you forget something you will have someone else to blame for it:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

So true! :rotfl2: Besides, she's enriching your vacation by being so prepared and knowledgable. She's giving you more for your money!

Oh go for it! We're all going to be friends here!

Whew! We were at a swim meet all weekend and now I'm so far behind on the thread:surfweb: .

First, website works fine for me. PC Vista based system. Looks Great too!

Second, welcome to all the new and old friends! It looks to be a great group of people.:yay:

I had a question and I don't remember if I read this somewhere or just dreaming. Isn't Southwest Airlines in 2010 going to do international. I know there are probably not a lot of fans of Southwest out there - but I LOVE THEM! We have taken Continental from Barcelona and I would rather poke my eye out with a stick. USAir has been hell for us and so has American so I am willing to give them a try. Has anyone else heard this about Southwest?

Regarding the food on the cruise - it was disappointing this time around on the Double Dip. For the people out there that like to cook, you probably cook better then the cruise. My husband always tells me that I cook 10x's better then the cruise - I take that as a compliment. I cannot use a computer - as some of you know, but I can cook! We definitely don't go for the food, we go for the fun, friends, entertainment and the sea! We have friends that travel Holland America and they come back, we ask them about the cruise and they talk for HOURS about the food - nothing else. If you want to go on a cruise - just for the food, not Disney, but everything else - DCL!!!!

I'd love it if Southwest figures something out for international. I could happily go to my grave NEVER flying on Air France or through Charles de Gaulle airport again:headache: .

We actually liked the food on our EB TA, but then we like more mediterranian fare anyway.

Add me to the club:rolleyes1 . It does help that I can pull out my stuff for Gibraltar and Barcelona from the last trip - that puts he ahead on a couple of ports anyway.

my wife so suffers from this condition, sadly there is no cure

DH would agree with you, but he does recognize how smoothly it makes our vacations go:thumbsup2 .

I got my confirmation in the mail from DCL today - that is exciting:banana:

Hi back, Kathy, and thanks for the welcome. I'm so glad there are more folks that share our demographic ;) .

And as for the whips, I thought maybe you were an Indiana Jones fan :rotfl: .

Hi Joanne
I do love Indiana Jones movies but that has nothing to do with the whips.:lmao:

The whips are a great ice breaker.:goodvibes

Count me in the club!!! I have a binder all set and have info in it already i.e. trip confirmation of reservation from DCL. packing list, budget(yeah right!!), tip worksheet(have a copy from the EB PC this past August) and I have a big POST IT NOTE on the inside cover telling me" DO NOT PACK AS MUCH AS THE EB PC TRIP!!!!!".

Now if I can only figure out hour to put the banners in my signature!!!!!(I am computer challenged).

Joanne,

Where are you in Va. I am in Williamsburg! Are we neighbors?

Hi all!

It would be cool if SW did international flights by 2010. :thumbsup2 Actually, I would love for Jet Blue to do International Flights. I get lost in Direct TV! And blue chips ...

Anyone else sailing before we cruise in 2010?

Have to say that we have a 4-Night Wonder booked in April (just for a fix), and Mike turns 40 next year, and he picked a 2-week on HAL for that. But, I am most excited about the cruise a whole 23 months from now. :)

It would be nice for us if SW went International. I wanted to try JetBlue for our flight to Orlando this coming December, but pricewise, I got a better deal elsewhere. Don't know how that would work out on an International Flight.

I booked flights through Disney for this trip. I was told I could cancel them. We would like to go to Dublin for 3 days, then Barcelona for 3 days before the trip. If I can find cheap airfare to do that, we will.

We are doing a 4 night Wonder this December. I should be fretting about the December trip, but I need to get over the excitement of this trip first. The excitement is just too great. This is going to be an awesome trip.

No cruising before the TA for us - we may go to Idaho next summer for a long weekend when the family gathers to scatter my grandmother's ashes, Williamsburgh & Busch Gardens for another long weekend and finally Newport RI - of course, if I get a new job between now and the summer plans will most probably change.

Okay, Buckeye Gal said that I could reveal my ridiculous OCVP and please let me know if anybody has beat me because I am pretty bad. I came home from the Double Dip and made labels for the luggage tags that they give you when you disembark so you don't have to write them out, I just throw on the sticker! This is also in my binder! Hey - if we all give each other hints for the OCVP club - we will be in great shape!!!:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:
