Well all, DH and I are tenatively planning for this one - just waiting to see prices, etc. Longest cruise we have ever been on so lots of different planning - that and the fact that the only places I have ever been outside of the US is Belize and the Caribbean!

Oh and I have a question someone may be able to answer. Can anyone remember what the Tip charges were on last years cruise? I can't seem to find anything that says and wanted to work out how much to factor for that.

According to the cruise tip calculator the per person tips should be (based on the current tip structure):

Dinining Room Server - $4 per day or $56 for 14 days
Assistant Server - $3 per day or $42 for 14 days
Head Server - $1 per day or $14 for 14 day
Stateroom Host/Hostess - $4 per day or $56 for 14 days

For a total of $12 per day or $168 for 14 days

I'm tentatively onboard. Talked to DH last night and he said to go ahead and move our 2009 dummy date to this one . I'm looking forward to getting back the 6 hours I lost last time on the May 2007 TA .

This time it will be me, DH and DD (7 at cruise time). DD#1 and DD#2 won't make the trip. They can't miss that much time in HS.

I'd love to do 10 day Med too, but I don't think that is going to happen. The new ports look great though. 24 days on the Magic - AWESOME! Being away from DD#1 & DD#2 for month .

It is actually working with my 7 yo but not so much with my 3 yo. So I made this sign to hang in our house to remind everyone what we are saving for!!!

Welcome aboard to those intending to do this cruise.

I can't wait until Tuesday (Wednesday NZ time) to find out whether we are on or not.

I feel kinda lost not having something to plan. Our trip at Christmas took about 5 minutes to organise - ok maybe a little longer but compared to the EB repo it was 5 minutes

Paula - never did get a chance to sit down with you in detail re: Kiva but I will have to visit it on my own. Anyway, officially I'm interested and unofficially, I'm I'll know more on Tuesday.

Sarah! I see that we have sailed quite a few times together on the specialty cruises but haven't had a proper sit down. If we get on this one - we will have to meet and greet properly on this one. Sound like a plan?

Its funny that we have sailed so many times together and have yet to properly meet. I say if I get lucky enough to get to on this one - we meet at Quiet Cove and properly meet - sound like a plan?

The EB PC thread was started on 1/13/07...so 18 days before bookings opened on 1/31/07.

Can I ask, did you make this or did a creative Disigner make it? If you made it do you take requests? I need this sign to hang on my bathroom.

We are going to surprise the kids with this trip. I'm not sure how yet, but that's the plan.

Thar be many a crew asking me if they can be adding the cruise banner to there signature , And I figured I wouldnt keep it all to me onesies so here be three different sizes you can be adding to your signature line , Beware , those crewmates that dont be adding it could find themselves walking the plank come Sept 2010 ...Savvy ??
