Oh and I have a question someone may be able to answer. Can anyone remember what the Tip charges were on last years cruise? I can't seem to find anything that says and wanted to work out how much to factor for that.

Thanks
Sarah

Hi everyone :wave2:

Looks like we will be joining you on the Westbound TA too! :sail: Our group will be: ME :hippie: , DH pirate: , DS pluto: (10 cruise time) and DD princess: (7 cruise time).

We just got off the September 27th Double Dip, booked a dummy date and our TA is moving it to this trip on Tuesday. I'm hoping she will be able to keep our perks from booking on board. Has anyone done this before? She didn't know if we would keep our onboard credit or the 10% discount because she is calling it in and moving the date to a "Special Sailing".

Tiffany

Hey Sarah and Tiffany - it is great to see "old friends". Tiffany, when I spoke to the lady booking the cruises on the Double Dip, she said we WOULD be able to transfer and might even get a better offer.

Sarah - the tips were Dining Room Server $51.50
Dining Room Asst. Server $37.50
Dining Room Head Server $ 14.00
Stateroom Host/Hostess $51.50

per person

This is what I had from my notes. I hope that helps!

To be honest I dont remember what the tips were , and thats ony cause Disney paid for the Tips as an incentive to get you to book the cruise , which may be something they may repeat ...

That will be a blast. I can't wait. Christmas at Disney is awesome!!!

Glad to have you aboard , hmmm will I dress up??? Hmm that be the Mystery to be solved and only those that will be on this cruise will know for sure but I wont say till we are actually on the cruise ....Build the suspense a bit ...lol I know for sure that I will NOT be dressing for the 10 Day Med prior to this cruise ....

Hi again! It will be fun to sail with friends again and make new ones! I'm crossing my fingers that a few others from the Double Dip will join us! What a great group!

The tip info is very helpful! That's going in my new WBTA notebook!

Ooooh. . . This would be even better! Do you think they would give this incentive to those who booked on the first day too?

Thanks for the warm welcome!

If they offer lower prices and or Tips or most any other incentives you should be able to get your TA to add them to yours regardless if you booked on day 1 or not , the only thing I cant see them giving anyone is the 10 percent which of course you can only get by booking onboard , which alot of us are transferring "floater" reservations and will have that 10 percent off

Its about $10 per day but I can't quite remember the exact recommended figure - it went up a couple of months back.

We're in for this one as well as the July 6 Baltic. Why oh why can't it be next year?????

I'm tentatively onboard. Talked to DH last night and he said to go ahead and move our 2009 dummy date to this one:banana:   . I'm looking forward to getting back the 6 hours I lost last time on the May 2007 TA:rotfl2: .

This time it will be me, DH and DD (7 at cruise time). DD#1 and DD#2 won't make the trip. They can't miss that much time in HS.

I'd love to do 10 day Med too, but I don't think that is going to happen. The new ports look great though. 24 days on the Magic - AWESOME! Being away from DD#1 & DD#2 for month:sad2: .

I've decided that when Tuesday rolls around, the WB Repo will be my first choice! All the pros and cons I listed pointed towards the EB, except for one... I'd be giving up a WDW vacation Spring 2010 if I chose that cruise. Somehow, I couldn't swallow that, probably because we're in a huge stretch of being away from "home"

So, assuming all goes well on Tuesday, I'll be around and getting to know you all for the next 709ish days! :rotfl:

We've decided to punt on Tuesday. A mix of bad timing with school, DD will be moving up that year, and value. Now.....we *may* revisit this down the road but we'll be thinking of y'all - swim Mickey swim.

So....we have a new motto on our house since Monday...."small christmas' and small birthday's mean BIG cruise"

It is actually working with my 7 yo but not so much with my 3 yo. So I made this sign to hang in our house to remind everyone what we are saving for!!! :thumbsup2
