Wonder if this means there will only be 2 dining times - 6 and 8:30? It would be rather difficult to have the drill at 5 and first diner seating at 5:30.

GIVE NOTHING BACK!!!

The EB PC thread was started on 1/13/07...so 18 days before bookings opened on 1/31/07. :goodvibes

AH! That one still holds the record! Thanks Lisa! :thumbsup2

 Hey Laura.....ummm....I think you should consider it "official" since it will be the annual September cruise!! :rotfl:

I know - but we be a superstitious lot, ye know, me hearty! pirate: :rotfl2:

Thats Great , we now have someone for lanyards and the cruise logo is done for the shirts ...see things are shaping up already ..LOL

I dont know for sure if you can ship to the Port in Barcelona , I considered it with my costume , but with my luck there woud have been someone walking around Las Ramblas in Barcelona wearing my Captain Jack Sparrow costume taking pictures for euros ...Hmmmmm maybe I should get there a few days early and do that myself for some extra spending money ....something to think about ...lol

pirate:

OMG! The OCPD has started already! (That be Obsessive Compulsive Planning Disorder) :lmao: I'm sure there will be some more fellow sufferers on here. ;)

I so want to be on this cruise. We are so new, we haven't even been on our first cruise yet. After reading the disboards, I know that I want our family vacations to be on a Disney Cruise! I have a few questions that I hope someone can answer:

What time are reservations open on the 14th? 12:00 a.m. EST?
Best to book online or on phone?
Will the prices be posted before the 14th so we can decide beforehand what category to book?

Many thanks in advance my novice questions.

I can't answer most of your questions but the rates are here http://www.dreamsunlimitedtravel.com/cruise/2010-rates.htm

Last year on the EB TransAtlantic there were only two seatings for meals. I have heard (although don't know for sure if it's true) that this was because the ship was not that full so they didn't need to do the staggered seating times.

Erik, I got one of the lanyards from the recent 9/27 DDD cruise. They were awesome...y'all did an awesome job on them. I was on the cruise with DW. You might have seen her around here using the nick, alleluia5. BTW, y'alls pirate night makeup was cool.

So who's going to post a picture of these lanyards? :confused3 :teeth:

I have a pic, just have to get it off my camera - I will post it for you later - we really were the envy of all the "lanyardless" :lmao: I got asked quite a few times how others could get one of them.

Bumping up my question so it doesn't get lost:) I presume this is ok to do, I am new on here:)

If you use a TA do you have to pay the full deposit? Can anyone recommend a TA to use? I have a dummy week that I wish to move and I also want to book a back to back and try and get the same room.

Todd, count me and Lindsay in and possibly doing a B2B. Not sure who else is going but this will be Lindsay's and my annual birthday cruise. We did last year TA crossing and it was awesome. Looking forward to seeing old friends.

Bev:)
 Bev! :wave2: Nice to see you. Good lucky in May (it is May right? )

awww good , the crew be growing by the hour ....:welcome: Back Aboard Mates ...

pirate:

:ssst: Wait til Tuesday rolls around. Your going to have to have a miles long list. :rotfl:

GIVE NOTHING BACK! pirate: pirate:
Seriously, wow. I definitely chose the right crew, I think... now we had just better get a room when I call in on Tuesday! :yay:

(And then, honestly, how do you all plan on lasting 2 years?!?! I'm excited NOW! :teeth:)

I was wondering this too lol! My Boyfriend has already had enough about me going on about it (and supposidly I was even talking about it in my sleep last night telling him the ship wasn't going to sink)

Eric, I am totally in - you did an amazing job on the ones for our double dip - in fact its sitting here on my desk reminding me of better days (than being at work) :lmao:

Wow Todd, those pics are amazing! Disney should hire you to be in the CJS picspirate:

So I know before that the transatlantic didn't fill up right away - do we think it will sell out this time???

Also, what room types is everyone going for?popcorn::

Cat 11 or 12 as I want an inside room! DBF doesn't get a choice in it lol (although to be fair he did say he would like to be on Deck 6 if possible so I guess he wants Cat 11

I have been told that TAs can book it through the website and then you can have the 50% deposit thing but you do have to pay it all in advance.

I'm sure on the WB one last time there was just 2 dining times in the end as they weren't a full boat and it was easier

OK so I am curious as to what people think.

On DU the following is showing for the TA:
CATEGORY STATEROOM TYPE RATE
1 Royal Suite $5999 - $6699
2 Two Bedroom Suite $5699 - $6399
3 One Bedroom Suite $5199 - $5699
4 Deluxe Family Stateroom with Verandah $4099 - $5099
5 Deluxe Verandah Stateroom $3799 - $4699
6 Deluxe Verandah Stateroom $3799 - $4599
7 Deluxe Stateroom with Navigator's Verandah $3699 - $4499
8 Deluxe Oceanview Stateroom $2999 - $3999
9 Deluxe Oceanview Stateroom $2699 - $3899
10 Deluxe Inside Stateroom $2299 - $3599
11 Standard Inside Stateroom $1999 - $3499
12 Standard Inside Stateroom $1099 - $3399

Do you think that the rooms will be released at the lowest rate first? If so what do you think the chances of getting one at that rate would be? Do they release rooms at the same rate i.e. all at the lowest, or could you in theory find that the Cat 9 is cheaper than the Cat 12 due to that being released at a lower rate? Are there only a certain number of rooms released at this lower rate and do they go fast?

I can't answer most of your questions but the rates are here http://www.dreamsunlimitedtravel.com/cruise/2010-rates.htm

Thanks for that link! I was excited to see prices per category, but I'm wondering if it's correct. $900pp difference from a Cat 12 to Cat 11?! Aren't they essentially the same room?! At first I thought it was odd that the EB and WB prices varied so much, but that was the real kicker. Do we think these prices are really accurate?

ETA: For the EB, the difference between Cat 11 and Cat 12 is listed as $1100pp different!

I thought maybe the length of the cruise, but even the 12-night ones only vary by a few HUNDRED dollars, not a thousand! At that rate, we would be better off jumping up the categories quickly, if we're going to get anything higher than a 12! :rotfl:

Here's hoping they are wrong. Do TA's usually get the prices before the DCL website or is this unusual?

I'm not sure... I assumed that they just got them early, because I haven't had any luck this morning finding them on the "regular people's" :) DCL site!

FYI, I have placed quote requests with two difference agencies specifically asking these questions - just to see what actually happens with the various stateroom prices. I'll let you know if I find out anything helpful, when either of them get back with me!
